Tell Advertisers: Drop FoxRight now, companies that do business with Fox News are financially supporting bigotry, dangerous lies, and harmful conspiracy theories. Protect people: Suspend Boeing 737 Max planesReports show that the Ethiopia plane crash is the second time in less than six months that the Boeing 737 Max plane has crashed after takeoff. Multiple countries have suspended Boeing 737 Max flights until there is more information. We can't put people at risk. Right now, the U.S. seems to be the only country that hasn't suspended the plane. Protect people. Suspend Boeing 737 Max planes. Source: 1. Oppose "Sycamore Flats" Apartment Complex in ZionsvilleResidents' voices need to be heard, respected, and acted on by our elected officials whose salaries our tax dollars support. We strongly oppose the 184-unit apartment complex that will overcrowd schools, negatively impact town resources, and is stark contradiction to one of the reasons majority of residences specifically seek out to live in the Zionsville community for its charm, character and authenticity.3,548 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Stop Sycamore

Make college fair and end legacy admissions!News that super wealthy families have bought their way into colleges across the country shouldn’t come as a shock—we all know the system is rigged. But what is shocking is that there are still perfectly legal ways to stack the deck against communities of color and white working-class students. The legacy system, where getting into a college is weighted toward studies whose families had the privilege to attend, is still considered a legitimate way to get into college. There are many ways to make college more fair and accessible, and as we work on those solutions to our education crisis that keeps the benefits of higher education out of reach of so many, we must dismantle the legacy admission system.108 of 200 SignaturesCreated by corinne

Cannabis Legalization/Removing Off Schedule 1I am a medical cannabis patient who uses it for a lower back injury which has messed up my nerves and effects both of my legs and feet, and now I cannot do what I had been able to do and it takes me longer to do things now. With being able to use cannabis medically, my health has gotten better and my tests have improved and my body has been rebuilding itself, and still have the systems to release the pain to the point I can move better. Cannabis has benefits to it. There have been many studies on it in different countries and also ours that can prove there are beneficial benefits for the body. There are only four medical schools in our country that study the endocannabinoid systems in our bodies. There are food and plants that have cannabinoids in them, but not enough to keep the body efficient and that regulate our body systems in good health. If it was legalized, we could have the right to choose what will help our bodies and live better and healthier when doctors cannot find the right medications that are causing more harm and death. It would save money from the lawsuits' payout to put into better studies.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Torres II

Mayor Bill de Blasio: Don’t Build 4 New Jails in NYC!Background: How We Got Here After years of mounting pressure--including investigations by New York State, the U.S. Department of Justice, several class action settlements, and the experiences of incarcerated individuals and their loved ones all revealing a deeply entrenched “culture of violence” on Rikers--Mayor Bill de Blasio announced, in spring 2017, a 10-year plan to close the jails on Rikers Island by building another system of jails. The expected cost for the new jails plan exceeds $10 billion and is not projected to be completed until 2027. The plan would result in 6,000 new cages for humans in four massive new jails. The plan does not require New York City to close Rikers after the new jails are built, effectively enlarging NYC’s jail system far into the future. And we know: if they build it, they will fill it. To avoid public opposition, Mayor de Blasio has manipulated the political process to bypass any real community input on building new jails. Instead, the only political decision that remains is whether to rezone the four selected NYC locations to build jails up to 50-stories tall - the tallest jails in the world. In the coming months, the New York City Planning Commission and City Council will vote on the land-use proposal for the jails plan. If they vote yes, construction on the jails could begin in 2020. The Mayor’s Office has already set aside money for new jail construction in the preliminary budget. Call to Action: #NoNewJailsNYC Join us in opposition to the Mayor’s borough-based jail expansion plan. Nearly 80% of the people in NYC jails are just awaiting trial and have not been convicted of any crime. And no matter how “humane,” “rehabilitative,” “modern,” or “safe” the City claims the new jails will be, just like the jails on Rikers, a ll jails perpetuate violence for individuals, their families, their communities, and NYC overall. That’s how we got Rikers in the first place, which reformers called “the most perfect prison in the world“ when it was being planned. Jails make everyone less safe. Instead of committing NYC to a future of unnecessary and harmful incarceration, we can and must close every jail on Rikers – without opening new jail complexes anywhere in NY.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mon

City of Cold Spring: Save Walnut Hills AcademyWalnut Hills Academy is a trusted, valued, and educationally-rich early childhood center in Cold Spring, KY. For over 25 years, it has provided early childhood education to Cold Spring and surrounding cities. From daycare, to preschool, and even after-school care, Walnut Hills Academy has served working parents and their children with upstanding values, education, and love. WHA currently has 110 children at it's location, plus over 140 children on a waiting list to begin. They have never had to do advertising because their customer service satisfaction is so high that people don't hesitate to recommend them. Walnut Hills Academy is one of those places that you can never leave upset. Each person answers the door with a smile and a greeting - no matter the day. Children and parents are immediately welcomed into the center, as well as bid farewell on their way out. One can only assume that the leadership at Walnut Hills demands the most out of its employees, because their dispositions are always professional, cheery, and warm. You have no doubt that they love and care for your child the exact way you would yourself. If your child is tearful at drop-off, within minutes you'll get a picture text of your child happily playing with their friends. This puts working parents at ease as they go about their day. It's convenient for parents, too. Being close to 27, drop-off and pick-up fit right into the morning and afternoon commutes. For those of us that work close, we can be there within minutes should we get a call about a sick child. Unfortunately, despite all of this...despite the upstanding business that they run, as well as their impeccable reputation, the City of Cold Spring has decided that Walnut Hills Academy can no longer remain. As of June 2019, the city has decided to terminate their lease. This means 110 children will be stripped from their beloved second home. The working parents of these children - construction workers, PR workers, lawyers, teachers, doctors, nurses, educators, bankers, sales people - will have to alter their lives to find new care for their children. The City of Cold Spring needs to show that it values its residents, early childhood education, and a child's well-being by renewing the lease for Walnut Hills Academy. We love Walnut Hills Academy. We love that our children love it, we love the learning, we love the location, and most of all, we love the teachers. We need your support to tell the City of Cold Spring to KEEP THE LEASE FOR WALNUT HILLS!683 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Amy Danzo

Students and Communities Against Oregon House Bill 3338As a student of the University of Oregon, I believe the only way to keep our campus safe is to keep our campus police armed. Chief Carmichael and the rest of UOPD are genuinely concerned about student safety, and this bill would inhibit them from quick action regarding emergency situations. If HB3338 passes, not only will students be subject to a lesser degree of safety, but the officers will be unable to properly defend themselves and faculty as well. Please help us by signing this petition to discourage the Oregon House of Representatives from passing HB3338.65 of 100 SignaturesCreated by McKenna Sjoden

Ag-Gag Laws: Unconstitutional and Unconscionable!Iowa ranks with the bottom five US states when it comes to animal protection laws. While we recognize that farm animals are raised to provide food for us, this doesn't mean livestock should have to endure cruel and inhumane treatment. There are 25 states that have ag-gag laws, Iowa's was recently found by US Federal Court to be unconstitutional. These laws keep potentially brutal, animal-related businesses, such as puppy mills, from being discovered and stopped. Ag-gag laws are economically driven and for the most part serve to protect those who have no conscience when breaking any animal cruelty laws that do exist!140 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jeanine Redlinger

Ask City Reps to Protect Neighborhoods from Industrial BlightWhy us? Why is another historic neighborhood — this time North Riverside — being asked to tolerate a macro tower when small-cell technology is available and in use in newer and more affluent neighborhoods in Wichita and across the country? North Riverside is still listed by the city as a visually sensitive area where towers should be restricted. If this one tower is permitted, competitors will have legal standing to apply for additional towers in inappropriate neighborhood settings. It's unnecessary. In late 2018, USD-259 upgraded their wireless services for students at North High and John Marshall Middle School relieving the neighborhood’s wireless load. Steel in the Air Consulting, one of America's premier consulting firms, stated, “They [service providers] can just as easily add multiple small cells and avoid costly macro towers.” This needs to be stopped. All neighborhoods are in jeopardy if this is allowed. There is no reason for towers inside neighborhoods and nothing in any law that says we have to accept unsightly towers and suffer losses to our property values.166 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Madeline McCullough
