More than 50,000 prisoners are serving life without parole in America today — an all-time high. The late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said in a 2015 opinion, “The reality is that any innocent defendant is infinitely better off appealing a death sentence than a sentence of life imprisonment.”

In hopes of improving the appearance of the neighborhood and decreasing flood risk, we are creating this petition in hopes of having drainage pipes repaired/replaced and the street repaved. According to a recent study, over 20% of false and misleading information about abortion on Facebook is coming from just one source; LifeSite News. Snopes called them a "known purveyor of misleading information". This misinformation full of lies and misleading half truths constitutes a very real threat to the lives and health of women throughout the US. Interestingly, LifeSite News is a Canadian organization, using its platforms to influence politics in the US. Facebook has already banned Breitbart and InfoWars for their campaigns to spread misinformation. This needs to be done with LifeSite as well for the threat they pose to women.

The need for added dog parks in our community and a place to legally unleash our dogs so that they can receive adequate exercise!

I would like to help bring a free, accessible, and safe splash pad to our community. Splash pads are great for all ages, including infants and toddlers. I feel a splash pad would improve our town and be a great asset to the residents of Parsons.

Too many people here in the US watch Fox News exclusively for information about current events. The program hosts at Fox present inaccurate "spin", cherry-picked facts and outright lies concerning Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and the Republican practices of stonewalling, gerrymandering, election fraud and financial corruption. Companies providing Fox News with advertising revenue should immediately end their involvement with the network.

Big and Drastic changes need to be made. If children are our future then let's look out for all of them, not just the ones who are better off. Some of these kids escape foster care, get adopted or straighten out, but why can't we do something profound and positive to change the way things are done? Things have been done the same for way too long in this CPS and family court system and too often overlooked, ignored or people are not listened to. People who have been through CPS and not gotten their child/children back are not listened to. One reason I believe is that people want to think that they just didn't try hard enough, didn't do what the court asked of them, couldn't stay off drugs. I mean what other possibilities could there be, right? What purpose does it serve for CPS to lie? People who haven't been through it don't believe that CPS could be keeping good parents away from their kids, so they don't believe it and the cycle continues until someone decent somewhere with the power to help make this system more regulated steps in. Mrs. Sage, a staff member and teacher at Walled Lake Central, has been transferred to Walled Lake Western High School against the will of our school, staff, and for reasons unrelated to her performance or position at Walled Lake Central High School, but rather due to reasons involving employees elsewhere in the district. Mrs. Sage is a loving member of the Walled Lake Central High School Staff and will, by any means necessary, contribute her efforts and devote her full attention to assist students and our school as a whole in developing as people and a community. Mrs. Sage is an invaluable member of our community and movements to transfer her must be stopped. Loving nature has always been an important part of my life. But now that I am in a wheelchair at the age of 18, needing to be amongst nature is vital to my physical and mental health. Nature provides JOY, RESPITE, and PEACE to many who seek out its beauty. Individuals with physical disabilities, such as myself, don't always have access to their state or national parks due to the lack of ACCESSIBILITY for all state and national parks. I would like to appeal to all physically challenged individuals and those who care about them to sign this petition.
