• Reparations Study Bill
African/Atlantic Slave Trade divided blacks,s, colors from other African Decents. As Black Americans we deserve what's owed to us from our country. We do not have a Black American Agenda. We are discriminate against White Supremest using evil and racial bias causing harm towards black men and women (police brutality, public service, public schools, business and corporations) in some cases cost our lives. It's unfair for my race to face racial issues due to our President. Please include and support my blackcolor race.

  • A PLEDGE TO RESPECT EACH OTHER TO BE SIGNED BY DEMOCRATIC 2020 PRESIDENTIAL CA...
During our country's continuing seasons of political divisiveness and polarization our political leaders can set an example for all of us to respect each others' differences. Dear Senators Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren;* Similar to what Rabbi Posner has recently mailed and emailed you, I am asking you to sign on to this petition, not because you don't exemplify the values of the above pledge; to the contrary, you apparently like and respect each other and could be role models for the other 2020 Democratic candidates. I/we also believe such a pledge would be good both pragmatically and idealistically for us progressives. Once the three of you with the other Presidential candidates sign on to it, the Democratic National Committee, and other progressive organizations can urge all Americans to:TAKE THE PLEDGE, thus helping to mitigate the polarization that is so rampant in today's America, which is fed in large part by the divisive behavior of President Donald Trump. So, Kamala, Amy and Elizabeth if you agree with Rabbi Posner's proposed pledge, please contact him, [email protected], with your support, and suggestions. Thank You for your courage, intelligence, enthusiasm, style and desire to be our first woman President of the United States, in the pursuit of a better, kinder more compassionate America. * Petition senders, if you like the idea of this PLEDGE proposal, I encourage you to revise it appropriately and also send it your favorite Democratic Presidential candidate (s). Thank you. Philip M. Posner

  • PA Senators, Don't Trample Our Constitutional Rights
Senators Regan and Martin didn't succeed in their attempts to stop pipeline protest last year, so they're reintroducing their ALEC-inspired bills again this year. Read the ALEC bill here: https://www.alec.org/model-policy/critical-infrastructure-protection-act/ ALEC, short for the Americal Legislative Exchange Council, is known as a bill mill for the far right. Versions of their anti-protest legislation have shown up in several states already. Read this account from Inside Climate News for more information. https://insideclimatenews.org/news/22082018/pipeline-protest-laws-felony-free-speech-arrests-first-amendment-oklahoma-iowa-louisiana Please sign and share our petition to let PA Senators know we expect them to protect our rights and oppose both bills.

  • Do Not Delist Wolves Nation Wide !!!!!!!!
A nationwide delisting cannot be based on scientific review as claimed by the USFWS because this delisting rule will automatically deny the wolves the right to migrate to habitat which they once occupied. Also, wolves only occupy only around 5% of their original habitat, they are not recovered in the sense that they are nonexistent outside of the great lake states. This proposed delisting states that it will be up to the individual states to manage wolves. In states like South Dakota wolves are already considered varmints and if delisted can be shot on site without a permit or quotas. Many other states have already stated that they do not want wolves in their states ---Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado. States that at one time had wolves but were exterminated from their states when the U.S. government sponsored a bounty program on wolves in the late 1800s and early 1900s and came very close to exterminating the wolves in the lower 48 states. If this delisting proposal succeeds in becoming a reality we will once again no doubt see the wolves existence in this country come to an end, just like before. This is an urgent petition ---many signatures are needed because the USFWS has drawn up the delisting proposal but has not been submitted to the National Register yet.

  • Support a County-wide Solution over new RVSD Charter
Over 600 students participate in independent study programs throughout Marin County without oversight by the Marin County Office of Education. There is a potential solution that would offer a program that would provide accountability.

  • Recycling facility in columbus ohio
It's no small effort to reduce plastic waste and the sooner we get people in ohio used to recycling in their day to day life the sooner we'll see the types of improvements the city desperately needs. It's not a fix all but a good start.

  • Keep Gray Wolves Protected and Rescind Your Administration's National Delisting
Hunting, trapping, and habitat loss drove gray wolves to near extinction in the twentieth century. Conservation efforts made possible by the Endangered Species Act has allowed them to come back and begin to re-establish their former habitats. But, the Trump Administration has announced a proposed rule that would strip every gray wolf in the lower 48 states of crucial Endangered Species Act protections. Wolves have only begun to recover in many parts of the country–and they are completely absent in others. The successful recovery of gray wolves in the Northern Rockies was only possible because of the strong protections of the Endangered Species Act. The Trump Administration's plan would jeopardize any future recovery by allowing states to manage gray wolves as game species. This would be a death sentence for many wolves. Wolves currently protected under the Endangered Species Act would likely face aggressive hunting and trapping immediately. Add your name to stand against the Trump Administration's plan to take Endangered Species Act safeguards away from gray wolves and to support continued efforts to bring wolves back.

  • Lay Off Ilhan Omar!
This is a defining moment for true progressives who believe in justice and fairness for all, no exceptions. Smearing those who try to bring up critical issues of national importance is designed to muzzle and stifle open debate. It's positively unAmerican! Besides, Omar being a hijab-wearing Muslim American is an easy target for Islamophobes (I know, I and my family live this reality on a daily basis) in the guise of "patriotism", "antisemitism", etc. This is a new era in our nation. We shall no longer tolerate such bigotry and will resist it no matter the perpetrators, Trump or Democrats or whoever!

  • Vote Yes! For AJR 5 Resolution for Free & Fair Elections
We need an amendment to remove the corrupting influence of money in politics from corporate interests and superPACs. We need to return Democracy to the voice of the people. Congress will not propose an amendment that isn't in their best interests; the States must. We CANNOT move forward with real change to HEALTHCARE, the ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL & CRIMINAL JUSTICE, while corporate money and special interest groups continue to block progress in order to serve their own agenda - making even more money! We need to move the conversation forward. I urge you to support AJR 5.

  • Nancy Pelosi and the House: Judge carefully the remarks of Rep. Ilhan Omar.
The Trump administration has committed acts of racism and inhumanity with its perceived “border crises”. It is further indifferent to the opinions of a majority of our country that do not support the “wall”, detention of children and the overall lack of concern for the humanitarian crises it has created. Why then, therefore, is it not appropriate to condemn the Israeli government and its leaders for the continuing immoral treatment of the Palestinians, particularly in Gaza. They live in horrible conditions and in complete dependence on Israel for such things as electricity, water, sanitary conditions, along with closed borders and the ongoing retribution for their protests. Most of all they live without hope of having their own sovereign nation. Let’s not let this debate take what appears to be a turn to discourage free and open debate on important issues.
