Demand Answers About “Operation: Prairie Thunder"When policing expands without clear, public rules, trust erodes and everyone — residents, officers, and City Hall — takes on unnecessary risk. These guardrails are simple, lawful steps that keep Sioux Falls safe and accountable. They protect civil rights, focus resources where they work, and ensure our city remains welcoming and fair. Add your name if you believe we should: • Keep everyone safer with trust-based policing. Clear limits, data reporting, and safe-reporting policies help solve crimes by encouraging victims and witnesses to come forward. • Protect constitutional rights and due process. Warrant requirements and transparent policies prevent mission creep and ensure any cooperation with outside agencies stays lawful and narrow. • Spend tax dollars wisely. Public cost estimates and Council votes prevent blank checks and help prioritize what actually improves safety. • Rely on facts, not headlines. A monthly public dashboard lets all of us judge outcomes — stops, searches, arrests, use-of-force — so policy follows evidence, not press events. • Safeguard community spaces. Schools, hospitals, places of worship, and courthouses should remain accessible and welcoming for everyone. • Reflect Sioux Falls values. We can have both effective public safety and dignity for our neighbors, including immigrant families. Your signature tells City leadership to adopt these reasonable, time-bound steps now so investigations can proceed lawfully, budgets stay transparent, and our community stays strong. Don’t put Trump on Mount Rushmore!A wave of recent Republican bills aim to glorify Trump by putting his face on Mount Rushmore and U.S. currency, and his name on airports, transit systems, and the Kennedy Center. One piece of legislation would even make Trump’s birthday a national holiday. Trump loyalist Rep. Andy Ogles recently urged the government to put Trump on Mount Rushmore. After saying the White House is ushering in “America’s Golden Age,” Ogles added, “it is essential that we immortalize President Trump’s likeness on Mount Rushmore.” This is how political parties operate under authoritarian regimes. Sitting presidents don’t belong on money, monuments, airports, and landmarks — especially not Trump, who has defied the rule of law and threatened our democracy like no president before. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to oppose all efforts to put Trump on Mount Rushmore, money, airports, and other national landmarks! If it were up to Republicans, Trump would be on Rushmore, the Kennedy Center Opera House would change to “Melania Trump Opera House,” the D.C. metro and airport would be named for Trump, Trump’s face would go on the $100 bill, and even the coastal waters of the U.S. would be named after him. The drive to put Trump’s face on Mount Rushmore is particularly disturbing because the monument is built in the Black Hills on unceded Lakota territory — deeply important land that the U.S. government stole from Native Americans. And the person who led the construction of Mount Rushmore had ties to the KKK. Just like Trump’s grotesque and wasteful military parade, glorifying a sitting president with national statues, monuments, currency, and holidays is another act of authoritarianism. It's outrageous, undemocratic, and dangerous. We can’t let Republicans use our government to glorify Trump and attack the foundations of our country. Sign the petition: Reject ALL efforts and funding to glorify Trump on Mount Rushmore, currency, and public landmarks. Congress and Governors: Defend Our Freedom to Vote!Trump is using fear and fabricated fraud claims to justify imposing authoritarian control over elections. It’s the same tactic he’s trotted out in the past—and now he’s doing it from the White House. Elections in the United States already have rigorous checks and balances to keep them safe and secure. Trump isn’t interested in protecting elections; this executive order would strip away the very freedoms that make them fair and accessible, like vote-by-mail and drop boxes. Trump’s goal is clear: silence millions of Americans by making it harder to vote. Congress and governors must act now to reject Trump’s power grab and defend the basic principle that in America, voters pick our leaders—not the other way around. Add your name to tell Congress and governors to protect our freedom to vote in the face of Trump’s attacks.993 of 1,000 Signatures

"Milwaukee Is Drowning — Where Is FEMA?"Why We’re Urging FEMA to Act — And Why You Should Join Us The people of Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, West Allis, and surrounding communities are facing a crisis that no city should bear alone. After the historic August 9th flood, thousands of families are still without safe homes, clean water, or basic stability. We are calling on FEMA not just for funding — but for recognition, urgency, and support. The damage exceeds federal aid thresholds. The need is real. And the longer the delay, the harder recovery becomes. We ask every American to stand with us by signing this petition — because this could happen in anytown, to any family. By showing solidarity, you help make clear that our federal emergency system must respond swiftly and equitably when disaster strikes. FEMA: Our community matters. The time to act is now.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Madlyn Smith

Pay WNBA Players What They Deserve! We, the undersigned fans, allies, and supporters of the WNBA, stand in full solidarity with the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) during negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). As loyal supporters of this league and its incredible athletes, we recognize the value, talent, and impact players bring to the sport—not just on the court, but across communities, industries, and movements for justice. The WNBA has become a global symbol of excellence, activism, and leadership—largely because of the strength, vision, and unity of its players. Every part of this business has grown—media rights, ticket sales, team valuations. The only thing still capped is player salaries. This is unacceptable. The people driving this growth—the players, deserve their fair share. We support the WNBPA’s call for salary and benefits that reflect players' true value and contributions to the game, the league, and the culture around it. We stand behind players demands for: • Sustainable salaries and a modern revenue-sharing structure, • Comprehensive healthcare and wellness benefits, including full support for parental and family care, • Safe, equitable travel standards, including full charter flight access, • Transparency and equity in league operations and partnerships, and • A continued commitment to player voice and leadership in shaping the WNBA’s future. The WNBPA's fight is part of an overdue and broader wave across women’s sports. In recent years, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) renegotiated its CBA ahead of schedule—abolishing outdated systems like the draft, expanding free agency, nearly doubling minimum salaries, and securing full healthcare, mental health leave, and travel protections. These landmark deals—driven by players and fans—show what’s possible when players are valued and invested in as full partners in a league’s success. Now, it’s time for the WNBA to meet this moment. The league cannot sustain growth without its players. The WNBA's future and its integrity depends on a contract that honors those who make it what it is: the players. We urge the league commissioners, owners, and all stakeholders to negotiate in good faith and to center the voices and needs of the players in every decision. It's time. Together, we raise our voices: PAY THE PLAYERS!11,460 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Caroline FitzGerald, Women's Sports Rally

Reopen JOSHUA ABOOD'S Case!Joshua’s case is bigger than one family…it’s about justice, accountability, and basic human rights. When a suspicious death is mishandled, when the law requiring a board-certified forensic pathologist is ignored, and when families are denied the truth, it creates a dangerous precedent for everyone. If this could happen to Joshua, it could happen to your son, daughter, brother, or friend. We all deserve to know that when tragedy strikes, investigations will be handled with professionalism, honesty, and by the book .. not rushed, buried, or brushed aside. Signing this petition means demanding transparency, accountability, and equal treatment under the law. Joshua’s life mattered & fighting for answers in his case protects every family in New York from facing the same injustice.594 of 600 SignaturesCreated by The518 Veil

Demand unimpeded humanitarian aid into Gaza NOW!The Israeli government’s war on Palestine has caused mass devastation. Most of the 2.3 million people in Gaza have been forcibly displaced. The inhumane and incessant bombardment has destroyed homes, hospitals, schools, places of worship—entire communities are under rubble. Every day, children in Gaza are starving and dying as Israel blocks unimpeded humanitarian access. 1 in 3 people in Gaza are going without food for multiple days in a row. The ongoing war in Palestine has devastated entire generations. Israel must allow unfettered aid to enter Gaza immediately.592 of 600 Signatures

Demand Accountability from HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.This petition matters because it: • Cherishes the life and sacrifice of Officer David Rose, a hero who rushed toward danger. • Confronts the lethal reality of vaccine misinformation and its capacity to inspire violence. • Seeks accountability from leaders whose rhetoric may have laid the groundwork for mistrust and radicalization. • Elevates public safety and truth, reminding us that societal well-being depends on responsible speech and responsible leadership.87 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Charlene Underwood

Tell State Attorneys General: Keep the military off our streets!Trump deployed hundreds of armed National Guard troops to DC and seized control of the local police. This move is not about safety — crime in the nation’s capital is actually the lowest it's been in 30 years. We’re witnessing another blatant power grab. This time, using the military and law enforcement as weapons against the people they’re sworn to protect. Right now, the California Attorney General is suing the White House over Trump’s recent National Guard and Marine deployments to the Los Angeles area. But as Trump threatens deployments to cities like Baltimore, Chicago, New York City, and Oakland, we need more state AGs to be ready and willing to help us take on Trump and defend our communities — and that’s where you come in.62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Win Without War

Tell Home Depot and Lowe's: Stop Giving Data to Cops!Home Depot and Lowe's are using cameras that capture and store the details of every car that enters or leaves their parking lots. That data is then shared with police in ways that allow it to travel far beyond the store's own location. No private company should funnel its customers’ information into government databases without consent. By contributing to these sprawling surveillance networks, Home Depot and Lowe’s are helping law enforcement agencies—including those involved in aggressive and cruel immigration enforcement—monitor people’s movements without a warrant. Customers shouldn’t be swept into a nationwide surveillance system just for shopping for tools or home supplies. Sign the petition to tell Home Depot and Lowe's to end these dangerous data sharing practices now. >>1,729 of 2,000 Signatures
