  • Stop HJM1 in Idaho!
House Joint Memorial 1 passed the House today. Next step: Senate. After that? It goes to the Supreme Court. The SCOTUS still gets to decide whether or not they'll even look at it; however, we know from past decisions that the justices are looking for any chance to look at Obergefell v. Hodges.  Gone are the days to just sit back and let these things play out. You also cannot tell me I'm overreacting or that this will never happen. Instead, please stand in support by flooding the senators with emails. I will put their info in the comments. You can write to them while also not being a resident of the state. Please just tell them to oppose this memorial.  Friends and family, this is very important to me and to people I care deeply about. Even if you don't support gay marriage, you should be angry that the House and Senate are wasting money ($70K per day per session) entertaining bills and memorials that do not serve Idahoans best interests.

  • Petition to Reinstate Target’s DEI Programs
This petition matters because diversity and inclusion aren’t just nice ideas—they’re about real people’s lives and opportunities. When big companies like Target back away from supporting underrepresented communities, they close doors for talented employees, small business owners, and customers who deserve a fair chance. By standing together, we can remind Target that their commitment to diversity isn’t just good business—it’s about doing what’s right. We also invite the public—employees, customers, business partners, and community members—to share their stories about how Target's DEI programs have impacted them. These personal narratives will demonstrate how diversity and inclusion initiatives create tangible, meaningful change in people’s lives—from career opportunities to community support. Stories will be carefully curated to protect individual privacy while highlighting the broader impact. We’ll select narratives illustrating how Target’s DEI initiatives have created opportunities, fostered belonging, and driven positive change across different communities and professional environments.

  • North Carolina- Petition Against State Resource Usage In Mass Deportations
Everyone who cares about their neighbor should sign this petition in hopes to make and keep NC as a state that is seen as a safe and welcoming place for all. While we cannot control what the federal government is doing, we do have the power to reach out to our government, especially our governor, as we elected them to work in our best interest.

  • Stop California From Using Foster Care Funding to Unjustly Separate Families
Why Is It Important? It is crucial to address the injustices caused by CPS and DCFS social workers who lie in court, resulting in the unwarranted removal of children from innocent parents. These actions devastate families, leaving lasting emotional and psychological scars on both parents and children. A system designed to protect children should not be used to tear families apart without evidence or due process. Reform is needed to ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness in child welfare practices. Why Should Others Join the Campaign? This fight is not just for one family but for every family at risk of losing their children due to false claims and unchecked power. By standing together, we can demand a child welfare system that prioritizes truth, justice, and family preservation. I created the nonprofit Stolen Children by CPS to support innocent parents and expose these systemic failures. Your voice can help bring about the change needed to protect families and hold CPS accountable for its actions. Join the campaign to ensure no parent suffers this injustice again. https://www.stolenchildrenbycps.com

  • Congress: Stop Trump's Attack on Birthright Citizenship!
Trump's attack on birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, and it's just one part of MAGA's far-right playbook to scapegoat our immigrant neighbors, all while Trump makes life easier for his wealthy friends and harder for everyone else. If this Congress votes on this order, they must resoundingly reject this brazen attack on our Constitution and its discriminatory agenda that threatens the very fabric of America.   Trump's promises of deportation raids and family separation policies are in practice unpopular—morally AND economically. Yet, he remains undeterred, because the true goal isn't efficient policies—it's scapegoating immigrants, fueling division, and creating a distraction while he and his billionaire allies profit at the public's expense. Congress must take action and refuse to concede to Trump's assault on our Constitution. Re-litigating the question of who gets to be a citizen is just another attempt by Trump to divide us and further advance a discriminatory America. We won't be distracted or divided. Add your name to demand Congress denounce and fight back against Trump's unconstitutional executive order—and commit to protecting birthright citizenship.

  • JUSTICE FOR LAYLA STEWART MESHAY MELENDEZ AND CURTIS URQUHART
This issue is critically important because it highlights the need for true justice and accountability in our legal system. Three lives—Layla Stewart, Meshay Melendez, and Curtis Urquhart—were senselessly taken in acts of violence so brutal and inhumane that they demand a fair and thorough legal response. The failure to prosecute Kirkland Warren fully for the murder of Curtis Urquhart due to judicial bias undermines public trust in the justice system. It sends a message that connections and privilege can overshadow accountability, leaving victims and their families without closure. Layla Stewart’s case is especially horrifying, as she was  murdered at 7, her future stolen in the most tragic way. These crimes are not just about the victims but about protecting society from individuals who have demonstrated a complete disregard for human life. Transferring this case to Arkansas for a fair trial ensures that no one is above the law and that these victims and their families receive the justice they deserve. By addressing this, we reaffirm the importance of an impartial legal system that serves to protect and uphold the rights of all citizens.

  • Pay bail for Marissa
Imagine you were fleeing violence, or seeking to reunify with your relatives in the United States. You are crossing the border when the US government arrests you. Despite your age, you are treated like a criminal, locked in detention, and separated from your family. Not only must you endure conditions that the federal government itself has found inhumane, but you must also defend yourself in immigration court alone-because the United States does not recognize your right to a lawyer even if you cannot find one. This is the reality that hundreds of thousands of adults and children face each day. It is the result of an immigration system designed to dehumanize and criminalize people, not welcome them with dignity. The US immigration system is an arrest-to-deportation pipeline rooted in racism. Our nation’s immigration laws were created and founded explicitly in racism and xenophobia. The past three decades have been marked by an ever-expanding immigration detention system, and an immigration enforcement regime that criminalizes people of color and funnels people from the criminal legal systems into detention and deportation. As a result, our immigration system serves as a form of “double punishment” for people who pass from one legal system to another, compounding the racial disparities and injustices in both. Just as Black people are more likely than white people to be targeted by police, Black immigrants are also disproportionately vulnerable to immigration enforcement. One-in-Ten Black people living in the United States are also immigrants.

  • Tell the Senate: Don't Abdicate Your Duty to Vet Trump's Nominees!
A dangerous attempt to undermine one of our democracy's fundamental safeguards is playing out before our very eyes: Trump is demanding that the Senate forgo its constitutional duty to vet and confirm his nominees for crucial government positions — including Secretary of State, Defense, Education, and more. He’d reportedly implement an unprecedented and brazen use of presidential authority to make it happen: Under a bad-faith reading of Article II of the Constitution, the president could potentially force Congress to adjourn and use his presidential authority to recess-appoint his Cabinet while they’re out. Without Senate scrutiny, there would be no public hearings, no tough questions, and no way to stop dangerous, ill-fitted nominees from leading our federal agencies. The resulting harm could take decades to undo, and we’re not about to let it happen without a fight that starts today. Incoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and too many of his Republican colleagues seem willing to abdicate their constitutional responsibility, but that’s where constituents like you come in, and remind them to do their job.

  • Petition: Demand Better Mental Health Resources at UW Madison
As a student body, we demand immediate action to address these issues and improve mental health services at UW Madison. Specifically, we call on the administration to: 1. Hire more professional counselors: Increase the number of qualified therapists who specialize in addressing serious mental health concerns. 2. Provide face-to-face counseling: Virtual or phone-only sessions are not enough. Students need in-person services to build trust and meaningful connections. 3. Reduce wait times: Expand staffing and resources to ensure students can access help when they need it, without unnecessary delays. 4. Invest in mental health resources: Enhance outreach, workshops, and student support programs to proactively address mental health concerns. 5. We cannot allow these issues to persist. Delayed or inadequate care can lead to devastating consequences. As students, we are advocating for our right to access high-quality, accessible mental health care on campus. By signing this petition, you are joining the fight for a healthier, more supportive UW Madison. Let’s ensure that every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Together, we can build a campus culture that prioritizes mental health and well-being. Sign this petition to demand change now. Share your voice and make an impact. [Sign Here]

  • Commute All Federal Death Sentences!
A shocking number of innocent people have been sentenced to death. And the tragic reality is that capital punishment is imposed mostly on poor people who cannot afford to hire an effective lawyer. And while proponents claim the death penalty is a crime deterrent and keeps us safer, that doesn't seem to be the case, according to the National Research Council of the National Academies. After more than three decades of research examining whether the threat of a death sentence deters people from committing aggravated murders, there is no reliable evidence that the death penalty deters murder.  Add your name today to urge President Biden to commute all federal death sentences before he leaves office.
