No delays. No excuses. Put Harriet Tubman on the $20 billMillions of people in a 2016 grassroots campaign chose Harriet Tubman as the face they wanted on a redesigned $20 bill. As a person of color, as a woman, Harriet Tubman is the face of the America that risks life for others and stands up for what is right and good. Her story is our story. We, as a people, should have the courage to honor her in this way. She's a childhood hero of mine. I want to live in a country where children see Harriet Tubman's face on the $20 bill and know that's what it means to be an American.907 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Kristin Andersen

Tell Dr. Carson and HUD to end unfair housing policiesAlthough the 1968 Fair Housing Act has helped reverse wrongful housing practices, Dr. Carson and HUD appear to be helping history repeat itself with their unfair housing policies. Not only are the policies unfair, but they will create greater housing disparities and an eviction crisis among the poor. If Secretary Carson has not done so already, I implore him to establish an advisory committee of public servants/Social Workers and other social service agencies to explore holistic, family centered, and empowering approaches to his housing policies. As Social Workers and gatekeepers of our communities, we are in a better position to offer innovative approaches to addressing issues of housing.128 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Alicia Sayas

Make DC a stateWhen Congress votes to go to war, or raise taxes, or reduce consumer protections, it affects DC residents like me as much as citizens of Florida or North Dakota. But DC residents are denied the ability to have a say in these decisions. Making matters worse, because DC is not a state, Congress meddles in our affairs -- for example, rom 1998 to 2007, Congress banned a clean needle exchange program that the DC government had implemented, intending to prevent the spread of disease associated with the use of dirty needles.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Elijah Weissman

LindseyGrahamResignNowI/we the people are tired of our representatives having the lack of our interest but insist on having their own personal agenda. Our country is based on Moral and Legal values and laws and Mr. Graham, having served our country, should be ashamed of his conduct. His behavior represents some in his Republican Party, not the People who did or did not elect him.30 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Renee Harris

House to have daily press briefings.Even during the Viet Nam War, the country was not as divided as it is now. That is why I started this petition, so the People's Party has a counter-balance to all the falsehoods and fantasies that are being perpetrated upon the public by R/W Propaganda and other sources, be they national or foreign.46 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Duane Daum

Pine Lake PoultryCurrent codes ban residents from keeping poultry by setting an impossible distance requirement of 250 feet from nearby buildings. A simple amendment to Sec. 14-22 would be to change the "250 feet" to "50 feet,” which is what the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County set as the distance requirement between poultry and nearby buildings.108 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Lisa Primack

Tell the DCCC to stop this undemocratic power grabRobust primaries are the backbone of our democracy. In fact, Beto O’Rourke, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and I all challenged sitting Democrats – and we would have never made it to Congress if the DCCC’s current blackballing rule had been in place when we ran. The DCCC's unprecedented, tone-deaf grab of power is a slap in the face of Democratic voters across the nation. Voters are sick of the status quo holding on to power and stifling new voices. They are sick of D.C. politicians who care more about holding on to power than a true competition of ideas. While I respect the difficult job that DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos has, and want to keep a Democratic majority in the House in 2020, stifling democratic debate and punishing challengers is the wrong way to go about it. Right now, for instance, progressive Democrat Marie Newman—a strong voice for women's rights, the environment, and health care—is trying to unseat an incumbent in Illinois who has a conservative anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ voting record. Many allies are unable to support Marie Newman because the DCCC will blackball them entirely if they work with her. The DCCC's policy will hurt progressive mobilization efforts and democracy in the long run. It will prevent competition and stem the flow of ideas by trying to stop courageous candidates who want to challenge the status quo. It is simply undemocratic of the DCCC. We need to fight until the DCCC reverses this terrible, out of touch policy. Sign the petition today to show your support for fair primaries.1,008 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Rep. Ro Khanna
