• Pine Lake Poultry
Current codes ban residents from keeping poultry by setting an impossible distance requirement of 250 feet from nearby buildings. A simple amendment to Sec. 14-22 would be to change the "250 feet" to "50 feet,” which is what the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County set as the distance requirement between poultry and nearby buildings.

  • Tell the DCCC to stop this undemocratic power grab
Robust primaries are the backbone of our democracy. In fact, Beto O’Rourke, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and I all challenged sitting Democrats – and we would have never made it to Congress if the DCCC’s current blackballing rule had been in place when we ran. The DCCC's unprecedented, tone-deaf grab of power is a slap in the face of Democratic voters across the nation. Voters are sick of the status quo holding on to power and stifling new voices. They are sick of D.C. politicians who care more about holding on to power than a true competition of ideas. While I respect the difficult job that DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos has, and want to keep a Democratic majority in the House in 2020, stifling democratic debate and punishing challengers is the wrong way to go about it. Right now, for instance, progressive Democrat Marie Newman—a strong voice for women's rights, the environment, and health care—is trying to unseat an incumbent in Illinois who has a conservative anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ voting record. Many allies are unable to support Marie Newman because the DCCC will blackball them entirely if they work with her. The DCCC's policy will hurt progressive mobilization efforts and democracy in the long run. It will prevent competition and stem the flow of ideas by trying to stop courageous candidates who want to challenge the status quo. It is simply undemocratic of the DCCC. We need to fight until the DCCC reverses this terrible, out of touch policy. Sign the petition today to show your support for fair primaries.

  • The Attorney-General of the United States
William Pelham Barr, the current Attorney -General MUST be disbarred. We the People are asking the American Bar Association to look into the misconduct of this member. He has LIED, committed perjury before the entire world and has shamed the Bar association with his lies and deceit. He is serving ONE MASTER, instead of We The People of these United States , When the Founding Fathers decided to separate from the King of England the first thing that they wrote was We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL, Yet Mr. Barr would put the current President ABOVE THE LAW, like a King OR Dictator. He does not mind lying, ignoring subpoenas from the oversight committee and determining that he "Has the right to NOT SHOW UP"--This man is a threat to the Constitution and MUST be disbarred as the only way to rid the country of this scourge who sees himself as the "Protector" of the next King of America. He has sworn an oath to "Protect, Preserve and Defend"-yet-the only one he does it for is this President--It is imperative to the continuation of this country as we know it that this man be dis-barred immediately--The fate of these United States is in peril, and he MUST be stopped Thank you for your attention to this matter---Signed, WE THE PEOPLE.

  • #NeutralizeSuperDelegates2020
The DNC rules regarding SuperDelegates was changed in August 2018, stating that they will not be allowed to vote in the first round of voting at the Presidential Primary. However, if any candidate fails to reach 50% of the elected Delegates at convention, the SuperDelegates will be allowed to vote in subsequent rounds. With 22 candidates running, it is critical that the DNC set aside their SuperDelegate rule and let Majority Rule.

  • Demand the firing of Frank Macomber, an animal abuser who runs the San Bernardino Animal Shelter!
Hundreds of animals have senselessly been euthanized for NO REASON at The San Bernardino Animal Shelter; FIFTY-ONE dogs last month alone!!!! These dogs were not even given a chance- they were not sick, they didn't have aggression issues, they were all healthy, happy dogs when they came into the shelter. This shelter is run by The San Bernardino Police Department, they do NOTHING to adopt dogs out or work with rescues- it is a literal slaughterhouse. In fact, they put the one employee (Jennifer Van Ness) who helped with rescues on administrative leave FOR NO REASON AT ALL. In addition, they allow no beds or blankets, which is why a dog FROZE TO DEATH in her kennel at the San Bernardino Shelter last month. She came into the shelter wearing a pink sweater which was immediately removed so she slowly froze to death- FROZE TO DEATH. The manager of this slaughterhouse, Lt Frank Macomber has a long history of animal abuse and is now responsible for running a shelter and for the death of all these animals. Macomber needs to be fired and never be allowed to work with animals AGAIN. Rescues have offered thousands of dollars in blankets, he has turned them all away. An even bigger part of this story is how Mayor John Valdivia has done NOTHING to remedy the situation. He has received thousands of calls and emails and DOES NOTHING. He is a disgrace to the community and needs to be held accountable for his city's shelter. He has posted LIES on Instagram claiming the shelter is doing a great job and ignores the countless and senseless deaths- mysterious deaths, lack of care, lack of warmth, needless euthanizing (even when there is room at the shelter)- he allows it all, and knows about it all. BOTTOM LINE, WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION- Macomber needs to be removed but this is all at the hands of Mayor John Valdivia who has done NOTHING. He is posting false information and needs to be held accountable. Please tag @mayorjvaldivia. Please email [email protected]. Or call him 909-384-5133 or 909-384-7272. Please call the shelter and ask Macomber why he is senselessly killing animals 909-384-1304

  • Amend the Constitutional requirements to qualify for President of the United States
The world is a more dangerous place than it was when the Constitution was signed 232 years ago. The citizens of our country have a right to know who they are voting for in advance. The information could prevent investigations into the President after they have been elected.

  • Gov. Pritzker: Illinois Wants a Full and Public Review of Child Deaths Where ILDCFS was Involved
As a society, we have a responsibility to protect our children. To do this we pay taxes to ensure safeguards are in place at a state level. Those safeguards are failing and children are dying. Illinois deserves an explanation and our children deserve our advocacy.

  • Honolulu City Council: Don't Squeeze Locals Out of Housing
May 8 the Honolulu City Council will take a final vote on Bill 85 to enforce zoning laws and shut down illegal vacation rentals. They will also take a final vote on Bill 89 which has the same enforcement measures but also gives out permits to a set percentage of the houses in each development district to do vacation rentals in a home with a home owner tax exemption. Those who win the lottery and get the permits will get first dibs on renewing every two years, creating a priveleged group who will benefit financially while the property values and quality of life of their neighbors goes down. We need proven enforcement first with Bill 85 before considering additional permits in residential zones. Please comment on the form. WHERE THEY STAND -- CALL THEM OUT! Yes!
