Former President Donald J. Trump is facing 37 federal charges, including 31 violations of the Espionage Act, for stealing from and refusing to return top-secret nuclear and military documents to the government. Trump believes he is above the law, and the outcome of this federal case is critical to proving to the nation that he is not. It’s imperative that an impartial, trustworthy judge oversee this high-stakes trial. Judge Cannon is not this person. Last year, Judge Cannon wrongfully intervened in the Department of Justice investigation into Trump’s withholding of classified documents, barring the DOJ from using the seized materials in the continued investigation. Her ruling was ultimately reversed by a conservative court, citing she had no authority to intervene. She claimed to be protecting his reputation as former president of the United States, but the court responded with, “To create a special exception here would defy our nation’s foundational principle that our law applies ‘to all, without regard to numbers, wealth, or rank.’” It’s clear she did not adhere to the mandate of equal justice under the law. Despite federal law requiring judges to recuse themselves when their “impartiality might reasonably be questioned” or when they have “a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party,” she has yet to do so. And with the stakes this high, we can’t wait any longer for a judge with integrity to oversee this trial. Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga has authority under federal law and internal court procedure to reassign a new judge to this case, one who will prioritize equal justice under the law. It will help ease suffering to many families, provide more research opportunities, and give newborns / kids a chance to thrive even with a rare illness or genetic disorder

Antonio Robinson is well known in his community. He is a licensed Barber, owns his own moving company and started investing in property. Each year he gives back to families by giving out free cuts and backpacks at the start of the school year. He is a dedicated father to all his children and is very active in their lives, school, and other activities. Antonio is a black male that grew up in Monroe NC. He was taken from his parents at a young age and went from foster home to foster home. He went back to school to get his GED and then went on to college. He is a licensed barber and master educator. I am fighting for justice for Antonio because the system is not treating him fairly. I have done my research and pulled all other persons in jail with him that are of a different race and have the same or higher charges but their bonds are way lower. Also Antonio’s charges have been dismissed but they still have him under a 1.5 million dollar bond.

Israel Saldana and Michael Maldonado are two of many people who were either convicted when they were children, or who were given sentences way out of proportion to their crimes, or who are still in prison years after others with identical criminal histories have been released. They are two of the many who have grown and changed during their years in prison. Excessive sentences like theirs are part of the reason Wisconsin's prison racial disparities are, by many measures, worst in the nation.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently announced a new tax filing software that went live for 12 states in 2024. This question-based software will allow people to send their returns electronically to the government for free! If broadly available, this software would allow Americans to avoid profit-hungry companies that act as middlemen when we e-file our taxes. But the tax preparation lobby strongly opposed IRS free direct filing software, and it was difficult to even get the 12 states we had in 2024 in a pilot—so we need your help to demonstrate overwhelming support for the program! Donald Trump is a twice-impeached former president, who has now been indicted by a jury of his peers in New York and in Miami. During Trump's two impeachment trials, GOP Senators who acted as the jury prevented Trump from being convicted and barred from future office because they were more interested in playing politics and holding onto power than in justice and accountability. Trump is facing very serious criminal charges—34 felony counts in New York, and seven federal felonies in Miami, reportedly including violations to the Espionage Act and Conspiracy. They could put him in prison for a long time. And we still are waiting for expected charges for attempting to sabotage the 2020 election and inciting insurrection. It is critical for the future of our democracy that Trump be held accountable for his actions. These juries cannot be allowed to treat him differently for the fact that he's rich, or a former president, or a contender to be our future president. He must be treated as if he is not above the law.

We believe that these changes will significantly reduce the financial burden on residents and workers while still ensuring that the town has sufficient resources during the peak tourist season. It is time to reclaim the spirit of "Public" in our Public Landing and reaffirm its role as a community space that is accessible and welcoming to all.

We’re breathing in dirty air right now which will decrease our life expectancy. We have a fundamental right to a healthy environment. With the current AQI levels in and around the state of PA, many of us are experiencing health issues because of the Canadian Wildfires. Scientists have expressed to us that events like this will continue to happen more frequently due to Climate Change inaction. We deserve a future and that is why we should all sign this.

This campaign is important for all of North Carolina citizens because the amount of negligence in our state, whether it be a car accident or a gross negligent homicide, will continue to increase without any financial responsibility. Being financially responsible for injuries or wrongful deaths will most likely make others think twice about being negligent.

Assault weapons are for killing.

George Santos lied about nearly every aspect of his life, deceiving voters in New York’s 3rd congressional district about his residence, religion, resume, finances, and family history. Now he’s been arrested and is currently facing 13 counts on federal charges, including wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and making materially false statements to the House. Put simply, Santos’ misconduct is more than disqualifying. It’s time for the House to vote swiftly to expel George Santos from Congress.

If President Biden doesn’t step in, many Native American tribes are set to lose their sacred land, and more than 40 million Americans’ access to clean water will be in jeopardy. Despite a 20-year uranium mining moratorium near the Grand Canyon, Donald Trump’s administration took bold steps towards restarting operations at dormant uranium mines outside the Grand Canyon.1 Right now, MAGA Republicans in Congress are pushing to increase uranium mining on the millions of acres of land near the Grand Canyon. We have to act now to show President Biden this is an unacceptable attack on local tribes and access to clean drinking water. The Grand Canyon is the largest canyon in the world and has massive historical importance for local tribes. Though the Canyon is visited by millions to witness its beauty and grandeur, it’s also an essential resource for the communities around it. The rivers at the bottom of the canyon carry half a million tons of silt every day and provide clean water to 7 states.2 Many tribes are set to be affected by the mining if President Biden doesn’t act. The Hopi, the Hualapai, the Kaibab,the Las Vegas, the Moapa Band of Paiute Indians, the Navajo Nation, the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah, the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, the Yavapai-Apache Nation, the Pueblo of Zuni, the Havasupai Tribe, and many more tribes have strong connection to the Grand Canyon and still call it home to this day. In fact, this wouldn’t be the first time local tribal communities have been damaged by uranium mining. Since the 1950s, when at least 22 uranium mills were active in areas surrounding the Grand Canyon, more than 500 mines have been abandoned, leaving a toxic legacy in the communities.3 In the southwest, women and newborn babies show higher levels of uranium in their bodies than people in other parts of the country.4 We must take action and demand that President Biden protect the sacred land of indigenous communities and preserve clean drinking water for 40 million people. We’ve partnered with a coalition of Tribal leaders to call on President Biden to use his authority under the Antiquities Act to establish a monument — totaling 1.1 million acres — to protect the cultural, archeological, and sacred places of ancestral importance to Indigenous peoples and Tribes.
