• Protect the Department of Education
Donald Trump is signing another fake executive order – one that he claims can get rid of the Department of Education, which millions of students, teachers, and parents rely on to ensure every child gets the education they deserve. How will this impact your school board, your kids' education, and the funding your local schools rely on? What opportunities could be taken away from your kids or grandkids? And without the Department of Education’s guardrails, what extreme policies could be forced onto our classrooms? We shouldn't need to keep saying this, but Trump is a president, not a king. He can't close federal agencies without Congress – his attempt to do that at USAID got shut down in court.  And if he had the votes to pass a bill, he wouldn't be staging today's stunt. That sure won't stop him from trying – no matter what our Constitution, the will of the voters, or basic common sense says.   Let's make sure this attack on our schools is dead on arrival in Congress – can you tell your lawmakers to stand up for students today?

  • Speak out against Trump's anti-voter executive order
President Trump just signed an executive order to bring the DOGE playbook – a flood of half-baked and likely illegal cuts – to our nation’s elections.  This is a full-scale attack on our most fundamental right: the right to vote. Our experts are still digging into the details – and evaluating our legal options to respond – but here’s how this order could affect your rights:   • Sharing your personal voter data with Elon Musk and his cronies at DOGE.  • Endangering your right to register to vote online or by mail – making it harder for seniors, rural voters, and disabled voters to register and cast a ballot.  • Throwing out your absentee ballot if it arrives after Election Day – even if you mailed it on time.  Any state that implements these extreme demands will silence thousands or even millions of eligible voters. And any state that doesn’t – and chooses our rights over Trump’s agenda – would lose all federal election funding, blowing million-dollar holes in their state budgets. We’re exploring legal options, but voters can’t wait for the courts to fix this. We need your voice on our side to speak out NOW.

  • Investigate Trump’s group chat scandal
Trump administration officials are making top-secret foreign policy decisions in their group chat. Reckless doesn’t even begin to cover it. Vice President Vance, Defense Secretary Hegseth, and other officials used Signal – a private messaging app – to talk about top-secret war plans instead of using official government channels.  That’s right – Trump replaced the public servants who know what they’re doing with unqualified loyalists, and now they're running the show so incompetently that they managed to leak their entire unredacted conversation to a journalist! This isn’t just careless – it’s a dangerous disregard for the rules and a threat to our national security. The American people deserve to know how deep this scandal goes. We need answers NOW. Join us in demanding Congress investigate the Trump administration’s reckless Signal Scandal.

  • REJECT the anti-voter “SAVE” Act
House Republicans want to make voting harder for you – no matter where you live. We need your help to stop them. Here’s how their “SAVE” Act puts your vote at risk: • Prove your citizenship – again: Even if you’re a lifelong voter, if you move across town, change your last name when getting married, or switch parties, you’d have to provide your passport or birth certificate with your current legal name – in person at your local elections office – just to stay registered. • Get stuck in long lines: Election officials would face impossible workloads, causing confusion and delays. • Lose your right to vote – without warning: If outdated records can’t verify your status, you could be purged from the rolls without even knowing it. The “SAVE” Act’s barriers could strip millions of eligible Americans of our right to vote – especially the 146 million Americans without passports and the 69 million American women whose birth certificates don’t match their married names.  Add your name to urge Congress to REJECT the “SAVE” Act and protect millions of American voters.

  • Town Halls With Dialogue, Now!
We understand that your Republican predecessors in our WA CD-03 established the very poor precedent of refusing to hold Town Halls at all. Let’s not allow that unacceptable behavior to set the bar moving forward. Your constituents want the kind of transparent and accountable representation that can only be achieved with direct dialogue. Please engage in direct dialogue with us during our Town Halls.

  • Congress: End the Chaos
The agencies, programs, and regulations Trump has eliminated are the critical organs of our government. Our individual freedoms are its spirit. When dissent is no longer tolerated, the debate that is so fundamental to our democracy is silenced. To put it simply, the United States was founded on an agreement to disagree. If we lose that, we've lost everything. Congress has the power to prevent that from happening. Please sign this petition calling on Congress to act.

  • Call for an investigation of Oxnard, California's, City Manager and his office
This petition is calling for an investigation, not to just flat out remove Alex Nguyen from office. The Council and the people of this city deserve to know if anything is going on that is undermining this City out of the view and transparency to the public.  If an investigation shows no wrong-doing, so be it. But on the other hand, if the investigation shows that he is not performing his job properly and in the best interest of this city, he needs to be removed.  When you put a cake in the oven, you check to make sure the temperature is correct and that the cake isn't burning. To just leave it unchecked could produce one heck of a failure of a cake.  We need to make sure our City Manager isn't secretly burning this city down with his actions and non-actions.

  • Housing Not Handcuffs
Rochester is in the midst of a housing crisis. Current resources do not meet the current needs. • There are 635 homeless adults and 570 beds for adults (without children).  • There are 415 families living homeless with children and 310 beds. For many houseless people, there is nowhere to go instead of living outdoors. The current administration firmly believes they are conducting simple "relocations". By technical definition, a homeless sweep is, "the forced disbanding of homeless encampments on public property and the removal of both homeless individuals and their property from that area." The administration sends outreach workers, police and dump trucks into encampments, leaving our chronically homeless community with no safe space and without any belongings. Regardless of the label, in practice the current administration is conducting sweeps.

  • End the Silence: Make Protection Order Violations Public and Enforceable
I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to close a critical gap in our justice system: the failure to include protection order violations in standard criminal background checks. This oversight allows individuals with a history of violating protective orders to secure jobs, housing, and even custody or visitation rights without accountability, putting survivors and their children at risk. Protection orders exist to shield survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and harassment from further harm. However, because these violations are typically classified as civil matters rather than criminal convictions, they often do not appear in background checks conducted by employers, landlords, and family courts. This omission not only endangers survivors but also allows repeat offenders to continue their abusive behavior without consequence. The Urgent Need to Protect Children Children are among the most vulnerable when protection order violations go unreported or unrecognized. Parents who have repeatedly violated protective orders can still gain custody or unsupervised visitation, placing children in harm’s way. Without these violations being made visible in legal and background checks, courts may unknowingly grant access to individuals who pose a threat to their child’s safety and well-being. By implementing these changes, we can provide greater protection for survivors and children, increase public safety, and hold repeat offenders accountable. I urge you to introduce and support legislation that ensures these violations are visible, enforceable, and taken seriously in legal and protective proceedings. Please let me know your stance on this issue and what steps you will take to address it. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further. Thank you for your time and commitment to public safety.
