• Harry Reid must be removed from senate majority leader
Harry is no longer a leader. His lack of leadership on the filibuster keeps obstructionist power in the hands of the Republican Party.

  • How the state does business
I think it is unethical how Gov. Coumo and the New York state legislature operates in passing laws, for instance the recent gun law that was passed by rushing this bill thru without giving members of the legisature a proper chance look at the large document , some say the had 15 minutes to go over it and they admitted they did not know fully what they signed. Normally new laws are reviewed and properly debated for 3 days before anything is passed. No matter what side of the gun issue you are on rushing something like this is totally careless and unenthical and not the way a state or national goverment should operate.

  • Transition Electoral College to Popular Vote
The Electoral College is an antiquated form of voting in the United States due the mobility we have as a nation. We need to transition to the Popular Vote, which will make every vote count and be subject to much less discrimination based on the Electoral College district boundaries.

  • NM should help make every presidential vote count
It's time to throw the electoral college into the dustbin of history. We can do this without waiting for the obstructionists in Washington, D.C. to act by passing the National Popular Vote Bill. When states possessing a majority of the electoral votes have passed the bill, then those states will require their electors to cast their votes for the winner of the popular vote. This will put an end to the legislative scheming currently under way to apportion some state's electoral votes so that it favors the legislature's majority party. It will also put an end to the current campaign process where each side concentrates entirely on the "swing" states while ignoring states that are safely in either camp. See http://www.nationalpopularvote.com/ for more details.

  • STOP the GOP !!!
The GOP doesn't want your vote to count. They successfully redistricted a number of GOP led states and produced a Republican majority in Congress, EVEN THOUGH Democrats received more actual votes! Now they want to nationalize the gerrymandering!

  • Support Ranked Choice Voting for Maine’s Governor
Maine has a strong political independent streak and that should be encouraged. However, our politicians should be elected with majority support, ensuring the values of the majority our state are represented. Ranked Choice Voting significantly reduces spoiler candidate scenarios as well as mudslinging. The system works remarkably well in Portland, as seen when the city elected its first mayor in decades. Let’s see it work for state politicians as well.

  • Time to get a new Senate Majority Leader
Senator Harry Reid has allowed Sen. Mitch McConnell to filibuster the Senate into a state of inertia. It is time to get back to Majority rule and get the Senate back to doing the people's business.

  • Redistributing Electoral Votes
State Senator 9th district republican Bill Carrico is leading the charge to redistribute electoral votes from urban areas in Virginia. This will end the winner-take-all and one person...one vote. Urban communities..town and city dwellers, low income renters, the Housing Authority apartments. The people that the republicans consider insufficient until they need your vote. Virginians please sign my petition to stop your vote from being stolen.
