• Stop Burdening Kansans with an Extremist Agenda
Gov. Sam Brownback and his hand-picked "yes men" are working to impose their own agenda on the state. Listen to the people. They are creating laws that benefit corporations and the elite, not Kansans.

  • End redistricting!
We as Ohioans have always had to deal with the confusion and gridlock caused by redistricting, wich only serves to grant the party in office more power, and unlimited seat time. this has to end.Already we've seen the end results....A new president,a few new Senate members, and an unchanged house, which only serves themselves. It is long overdue to return the power back to the people.End Redistricting!

  • Voter Education
Due to the total absence of honesty or accountability during candidate speeches, uneducated voters are basing their vote on television adds, and "journalists" rants. It seems to me that a simple short "voter exam" (similar to the California drivers' license exam) with questions concerning political history and basic American civics would at least alert some people to the facts of American politics. "Studying" for the exam would enlighten the uneducated and the often duped, and perhaps keep politicians accountable for their unbelievably ridiculous "proposals".

  • Congress: Pass an honest redistricting bill
Both parties have used gerrymandering to increase their representation. It destroys any pretense of democracy. There already exists a usable system for creating districts by population which is non-political and fair to both parties. It is the Post Office's zip code system. Some districts might need some re-arranging, but most are usable now. Please do something for the people that will last for generations.

  • Anti Norquist Elected Official Pledge
For years we have seen corporate interests dominate our nations economy. Elected officials have even signed a pledge of allegiance to anti tax zealot Grover Norquist instead to our country. Signing a pledge of integrity would show the nation who is working for them and who is a slave to Corporate America

  • A unicameral legislature for Hawaii
Hawaii's legislature should be unicameral. The quality of the laws passed by our present bicameral legislature leaves much to be desired, a single house can do no worse, with minimum of inane posturing and speech making. Also, there should be term limits and elimination of early retirement, by having legislators meet the same requirements of state civil servants.

  • Appeal Right to Work
It is time that we found a better way to make Union Labor Fees more manageable. Right to Work Laws simply allow companies to pay their employees less and give them fewer benefits. I have friends in Ohio who do the same job but are paid more because Ohio is not a Right to Work state. Indiana is already suffering economically and these types of laws merely make it more difficult for all of us to make an honest living. I demand our law makers revisit this law and take a hard look at how it is negatively impacting our State's financial situation.
