"Let's keep our right to vote as the party member we are and not be forced to vote as a member of another party just to vote in the County Sheriff's race" Camden County with less than 100,000 populations should have non-partisan constitutional seats. This allows everyone to vote for a candidate without choosing a party. This allows for equal voter representation throughout the County. Due to the polarization of the national election it is difficult to have local voters focus on the constitutional officers as a single race. Many voters are required to choice a different party than their own to vote in these races. This disenfranchises every voter and decreases voter participation solely because of the partisan political requirement.

We Americans have all been held hostage by Congressmen who have sworn loyalty to a "pledge" to NEVER raise a tax. They swore this in deference to a Congressional pledge to work for the best interests of the American people. They didn't quite, but may still drive our country over the cliff if the necessary revenue isn't restored to support our country in defense, education and citizens' health needs.

The Founding Fathers of this country did not intend for elected representatives to be lifers in congress. We need a grass roots referendum that ALL elected officials, no matter what branch of the legislative community they serve, be allowed MORE than 12 years in their seat (that's two House of Representative terms and 3 Senatorial terms).

People who serve in the active military should not have to pay income tax. They pay with their lives, and there is no amount of money that this country can collect for such a sacrifice.

I want to see money removed from electing our officials and removed from any influence peddling. It affects everyone.

Give every working person the day off WITH pay. Make it easier to go vote!

The US Supreme Court Ruling in Citizens United has put our government up for sale. We are calling on the President, the Congress and the States to reverse the decision so our democracy is not for sale.

All local, state and national elections should be limited to 6 months maximum from the date a candidate announces his/her candidacy to the date of the actual election. This limited amount of time would emphasize the issues instead of denigrating the opponent's character. Elected officials would have more time to actually govern.

The popularity of the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate are at their lowest point in history and with good reason. Congressional gridlock keeps any thing from getting done. I feel as though I am not being represented, that Congress has lost touch with the people of America. This has happened, in part, because of the perks and benefits that Congress has bestowed on itself. Once elected, they live the life of the rich and famous. It is time for them to return their focus on the common person. In the past year some form of this Congressional Reform has turned up in my inbox more than once. The first time it came from a liberal friend, the second time from a conservative relative who was "passing this email along from the desk of Warren Buffet." This reform petition is not partisan. Please sign this petition and forward it to everyone you know. Please sign it once no matter how many times it arrives in your inbox. When the signatures reach a critical mass, I plan to send it to every elected member of the U.S. Congress.

All congress people and senators should retirte on Social security not their private fund and get benefits only after at least 10 years of service and be on the same health plan as every other american,

The major dysfunctionality of government is the good old boy network of politicians who run this country for their own profit. If they had a two term limit then they wouldn't be able to wield the power they currently control. The intent would be for them to do what is in the best interest of the people and not the corporations that currently run our government.
