Reform Campaign Finance in AmericaWe need to reform campaign finance in America so our politicians are not controlled by corporations and wealthy interest groups. This is the only way to free our politicians and allow them to govern based on their moral, ethical and intellectual conscious and not by the demands of those who paid to put the politician in office for the advancement of their own greedy needs and wants.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nancy Vetter

Future Mayor: Defend Democracy in L.A.The current race for Los Angeles mayor is set to be the most expensive in our city's history. And, believe it or not, just last month the City Ethics Commission voted to raise campaign contribution limits even further. This decision - like that of the U.S. Supreme Court in "Citizens United" - is an insult to the 99%, and has put this Great City's very democracy on the chopping block. We're calling on all candidates for Los Angeles Mayor to commit to establishing citywide elections that are clean, fair, and open to all Angelinos regardless of wealth!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alex Stevens

The Born DifferentMy son was born with a rare form of dwarfism he is only 3’2” tall at the age on 21. He has applied for SSI at the age of 18 and was told that he did not qualify because there is 2,000 jobs in the entire state that he was suited for despite the fact that because of his dwarfism he is unable to compete with an average person because his height and limbs are shorter making him unable to be efficient with office machinery; for example, unable to reach copy machine without assistance, unable to type with speed and accuracy, unable to drive without special attachment. His dwarfism also makes it a safety issue for most entry level jobs available to his peers such as fast food.152 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Deborah Ellis

Term LimitsIt is time our country have term limits in House and Senate. We have got to stop power grabing individuals that are supposed to work for their Employers. We The People. In our Senate one (1) six (6) year term. In our House three (3) two (2) year terms if reelected. We have to stop the insanity.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ray Aquila

Cap on Government PayWe should have a cap on all in our Government on their pay. Along with the cap on pay when those in office in our Government leave that office their pay stops. Except for what they have saved for pensions and retirement. When they leave office they get a job, like the people of this country do, and do NOT continue to collect year after year their same pay while they were IN office. It stops, along with lifetime medical coverage. They pay their own medical coverage. 3 things. Cap on pay at $250,000, No lifetime medical and NO continuance of pay when they leave office.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Linda Dill

The Unstoppable Green Slim for campaigns. The money driving our politics today is unconscionable. When wall street CEO's where asked why they couldn't stop the home mortgage debacle, they said it was too big too stop. Same thing has happened to campaign financing. The politicians can't stop it. It is up to the middle class to stop it. We're calling on our legislature to allow a citizen's vote during the November elections for term limits in congress.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gary G. Non-Partisan Election OfficersKatherine Harris in 2000. Ken Blackwell in 2004. Need I say more? Why on earth is it legal for the chief elections officer in any state to be a partisan, or to be affiliated with any campaign? This is an outrage. What an obvious conflict of interest. Ken Blackwell promised he would deliver Ohio for Bush in 2004, and he did. Ask anyone who waited for 10 hours in the rain to vote in Democratic enclaves how he did it.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Horowitz

Term limitsI believe it is time that we enacted term limits on Senators and Representatives. The culture in Washington has gotten so strong and so heavily influenced from outside sources that the ordinary citizen no longer has a say and the power structure in our elected offices simply causes our officials to be more concerned with maintaining power and doing the bidding of lobbyists and as such they no longer represent what the people want from their government. We do it to the President and most governors, why not to our Congresspeople.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Al Van Malsen
