• Rep Faso - owned by NRA?
I am sick of the Republican's lame excuses for doing NOTHING to stop these massacres, because they serve the NRA, not their constituents.

  • The Courage to Save Lives
The purpose of the Second Amendment has been completely distorted by well financed special interests leaving all Americans vulnerable to deadly use of military grade semi-automatic weapons. Representative Lee Zeldin received $33,732 from the National Rifle Association and members of its staff. He must show the courage to put the lives and well-being of constituents above money, or we should remove him from office on November 6, 2018.

  • It's not an assault rifle if people die
We need to start using accurate language to describe automatic and semi-automatic weapons. They are used for war and for killing. They are not used to assault they are used to kill. When people are assaulted, they usually live. When automatic guns are used, people are killed. These are Killing Rifles.

  • Stand with families of gun violence victims who want to reinstate the assault weapons ban
Immediately following Pulse I took my sadness, my anger, and turned it into action when I joined Pride Fund to End Gun Violence’s Board of Advisors, to ensure another pulse didn’t happen to anyone ever again. But on October 02, 2017, it did...this time in Las Vegas. We can’t wait any longer. We’re fed up with Congress’s refusal to pass commonsense legislation that we know will save lives. The Pride Fund’s agenda is what we all know just makes sense: Expand background checks to cover all gun sales. Prohibit suspected terrorists from purchasing guns. Restrict access to assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Support federally funded research on gun violence. And prevent those convicted of committing hate crimes from purchasing guns. Our mission is to turn tragedy into action by raising and spending money to elect Democrats at the state and federal levels who support common sense gun reforms and champion LGBTQ equality. The Pride Fund is the only LGBTQ political organization solely focused on enacting gun policy reforms to ensure safety for all.

  • Lift limits on studying gun violence.
My very being is affected every time there I hear about a mass shooting. That single persons are provided the means to carry out such acts, but the general public is not allowed to research what leads to them, is not in line with the 2nd amendment.

  • Stop Google Selling Guns
Google actively promotes companies that advertise and sell military style weapons and paraphernalia. Google Shopping lists companies that sell guns directly over the internet; Youtube hosts thousands of videos that celebrate, advertise, and instruct people on the use of these products. Most people working at Google have strong principles and try to do the right thing. It's time for management to demonstrate a level of social responsibility consistent with the company's influence and market power. Google's leadership team doesn't have to take a public position on the first and second amendments; it just needs to take a position on its corporate values. If you say "Don't be Evil", then explain and demonstrate what you mean. From Google's "Code of Conduct" “Don’t be evil.” Googlers generally apply those words to how we serve our users. But “Don’t be evil” is much more than that ... it’s also about doing the right thing... acting honorably... https://abc.xyz/investor/other/google-code-of-conduct.html

  • End Gun Shows at Metro
After Orlando, we un-successfully petitioned Metro to eliminate gun shows. We were told that ending shows would push the problem to other jurisdictions. Each jurisdiction should consider the problem. I am saddened and angered by the mass shootings and everyday gun violence that we as a society can choose to stop. Now, we can act. By eliminating gun shows, we send a clear message that we want to be part of the multiple levels of solutions required to end this epidemic in our country.

  • Stop Malicious Gun Owners - Prevent 2nd Amendment Abuse
I don't have to be personally impacted by gun violence in order to have concern for others who have. If I can protect my loved ones ahead of an incident, then, my actions will have been effective.

  • Allow the EPA to collect data on gun related violence
Almost weekly you see headlines about gun violence. Immediately each side start shouting the usual arguments. But what are the facts. For years, scientists have been forbidden to gather the information to make rational decisions that can effect the lives of every US citizen.

  • Ban assault and semi/automatic weapons and ammunition
There are insufficient regulations, laws or licensure to keep mentally healthy, law abiding citizens safe from weapons of mass destruction, which is what automatic, semi automatic and assault weapons are in the hands of the public. The congress has proven unable to provide for the general public safety on this issue and the public must take action!

  • Don't Let Silencers On Guns! Stop the SHUSH Act!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We must stop the SHUSH Act from becoming law! The public should be able to attend concerts, sporting events, or other large gatherings without having to worry about a madman with an assault rifle and a SILENCER! In the latest mass shooting in Las Vegas, with at least 50 killed, people could HEAR the gun shots, and were warned there was an active shooter from the noise. There is no logic to enabling silencers, and yet the #CorruptGOP led Congress is set to once again do the NRA's bidding. NO to the SUSH ACT!

  • Take NRA Ads Off YouTube
Many enjoy watching funny, harmless videos on YouTube. To have to endure even 4 seconds of the harsh and violent content of several recent NRA videos is disturbing. Even worse, children could be exposed to these "ads" over and over and over. It is unacceptable and irresponsible to disguise a call for violence and division as an "ad" and for YouTube to expose unsuspecting audiences to this violent propaganda.
