• New York Medicare for All
We went without insurance for ten years and it was financially devastating when my wife and I got injured. ACA did not go far enough as we could not afford it. Medicare saved my mother and father in laws home when she was struck by a car on the sidewalk and he fell down the stairs helping her when she finally came home with broken neck, back, and pelvis. New York can have Medicare for all if our elected representatives show some guts and sponsor legislation and bills in the State House and Senate and Governor Cuomo signs it into law.

  • Cancer patients should not live in poverty due to the disease.
People I know have cancer, cannot work because of chemo side effects, have spent their savings, sold their property, and may become homeless. Their friends' help has reached its limits. Taxing the cannabis industry to relieve the financial cruelty of cancer.

  • Extend Medicare To All Americans
Both major parties have struggled trying to re-invent a new type of healthcare coverage that achieves certain goals when a mutually agreed upon healthcare coverage method already exists! It needs to be extended to all qualified Americans. The basics will automatically be covered, but leaves room for supplimentary coverages through private carriers.

  • Senate’s Health Care Repeal: You Pay More, You Get Less and the Wealthy Get Big Tax Breaks
Senate’s Health Care Repeal: You Pay More, You Get Less and the Wealthy Get Big Tax Breaks The Senate’s repeal bill makes health care so much worse for so many people in so many ways, all to give huge tax breaks to the wealthy and big corporations, that it simply can’t be fixed. People have rejected repeal. Instead of cutting backroom deals, Republican Senators should start working with Democrats to keep what works and fix what doesn’t in the current law. You pay more and get less - that’s the Senate health care repeal bill. It makes health care worse for everyone - it raises costs, cuts coverage, weakens vital protections and ends Medicaid as we know it.

  • Do not REPEAL and REPLACE Affordable Care Act. Work towards Upgrading and Improving Affordable C...
The bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act that has been presented to the Senate is vastly unpopular with an overwhelming majority of the American People. It threatens the health and welfare of Elderly,Poor, and Middle Class by unfair pricing and vast cuts to Medicaid. I believe that the Senate should kill this bill and instead a Bipartisan Committee should be formed from both the House and Senate and also include input by the President to help create a bill that will help to address the problems of the Affordable Care Act and make necessary changes; perhaps even to look at a transition to a single payer program.

  • Make Trumpcare Mandatory for Congress
If Republican legislators are going to introduce massive, structural change into the health care sector, it is only fair that they should personally experience the effects of this change. Direct empirical experience of the law will be the best test of its proclaimed benefits. We should let Congress enjoy the same quality of insurance that will be available to Americans on the self-insured market. That's why I started a petition to end taxpayer subsidies for Congress's health care and to make Trumpcare mandatory for members of Congress, their staffs, and their respective families if they vote to pass Trumpcare.

  • American Muslim Health Professionals Unequivocally Oppose the Better Care Reconciliation Act
AMHP has been at the forefront of ensuring that Americans are aware of and connected to health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and this new bill will have devastating consequences for the most vulnerable members of our population and will undermine many of the gains made over these past four open enrollment cycles. An estimated 22 million Americans will lose their health care coverage. There will also be a reduction in coverage for our most vulnerable populations—including those suffering from addiction and mental illness. Promoting affordable and attainable healthcare coverage for all Americans has been a top priority for AMHP. As an organization that represents over 2,000 health professionals and students, we are committed to keeping the ACA's protections in place.

  • Voldermont affect of trumpcare
I do not want to live in a nation where the government of the nation is committing GENOCIDE on innocent human beings in that nation. I do not know if a vote in favor of trumpcare is an act of GENOCIDE. Before there is a vote on trumpcare we need, as a nation, to decide if one of the side effects of the bill is to commit GENOCIDE.
