• Legalization of recreational marijuana in Florida
I have seen it’s medical use benefits work wonders, and I have also seen the revenue it brings in for the states that have legalized recreational use. I believe people will gravitate toward marijuana more if it’s not only for medicinal use but recreational as well rather than looking to the heavier substances and opioids they’re currently using to get their high. It’s an all around win for this state, if passed revenue will increase and overdose will decrease significantly

  • Legalize Marijuana in New Jersey!
I personally believe legalizing marijuana has been long overdue. It is only beneficial to this Country as a whole. It includes no health risk factors, it will boost our economy, it is something that needs to be done.

  • Police Shooting Death Inquest Process
On June 14, 2017, high school student Tommy Le, was fatally shot by King County sheriff’s deputy Cesar Molina. Tommy Le was unarmed. On October 12, 2017, King County Executive Dow Constantine ordered an inquest into the shooting. The inquest is structured so that one of King County’s own prosecuting attorneys introduces all witnesses and evidence to the jury. Presently, the family and their attorneys are merely observers in this one-sided exercise. This petition is to demand a voice for Tommy Le's family, by allowing their lawyers to speak to the inquest jury. This requires King County Executive Dow Constantine to modify the unfair rules governing the inquest.

  • Justice For Cyntonia Brown
Cyntonia Brown is a prime example of an unhealthy teen relationship. At 16 years old she ran away to live with her boyfriend, soon after he started abusing her and making her prostitute herself for money. “He would put a gun up to me and make to strip and stuff like that[…] Yeah, he had sex with me, sometimes I didn’t want to have sex with him, he’d still do it, I’d be crying and everything.” When asked why she stayed with him she said she felt no choice, that she truly thought she would kill her if she left. 16 years old and was trapped with no one to reach out to for help. In 2004 she was sold to a man by her “boyfriend” . She killed the man she was sold to in fear of her own safety “I thought he was going to murder me, or rape me or something, so I shot him.” Cyntonia Brown was convicted and tried as an adult, only eligible for parole when she is 56 years old. Have the courage to get her justice before it’s too late.

  • Have all of our men in authority gone stark mad?
The laws that allow immunity of elected government officials after they have sexually assaulted women and children needs to be changed. I travel all across America helping victims who have been sexually assaulted and in almost all of the cases, the men who committed these atrocities are prosecuted, fired from their jobs, or both. Senator Al Franken and Representative John Conyers have stepped down after pressure from their democratic constituents. Yet, Alabama Judge Roy Moore is ignoring pleas from his base to end his senatorial campaign and President Trump is vowing to campaign for him. If elected, Roy Moore will probably continue to voice his opposition to the many sexual allegations and President Trump will keep his job and will probably escape prosecution from his sexual allegations. Women and children in America should be protected from men in authority who are using their position to cover up their sexual exploitations. This needs to stop. Let's come together to remove these current and future elected officials.

  • Criminals Discovery File
I have been an activist out here for years, and people know and are scared for their families if they come forth and tell what they know. These people get killed, children hurt, and the victims of murdered people have experienced this over and over again with losing more family members due to retaliation because of discoveries. It's a mother out here now where her child was killed in a drive-by. Now the family of the one who committed the murder has retaliated and almost killed again. Please help stop all this bloodshed. Thanks

  • Justice for Ramad Chatman
I am starting this petition because his story is all over the media and no one else has tried to act on his behalf. In this day and age, we don't have to tolerate the injustices that this government tries to make us stomach.

  • Ann Arbor Demands Police Oversight & Alternatives to Policing
I'm an Ann Arbor resident and mother who is insulted that our City Council spent $230k of our tax dollars to fund a biased and unscientific study by a consulting firm of former police officers. The A2 City Council needs to stop wasting time and money and take leadership to establish a police review board that is representative, transparent, independent, empowered, grounded in restorative practices, and adequately funded, and to redirect resources to crucial alternatives to policing. Go to this link http://bit.ly/2jlJMRz to read the 11/16 statement from community members who have formed Transforming Justice Washtenaw to advocate for heart-based and restorative alternatives to policing and incarceration in Washtenaw County.

  • Second chance for Leon Johnson
My name is Leon Johnson and I'm currently an inmate at Calhoun State Prison in Morgan, GA. I've been sentenced to life plus 5 yrs imprisonment with the eligibility of parole. I was convicted of a crime I committed when I was 17 years old. I made a grave mistake for which I am deeply sorry. My actions cause pain to a lot of people and impacted those I never even met. Shaped me into the Man I am today. I have an understanding of what's really important in my life, and I know I deserve a chance to show what's within.
