Inmate sentencingThis petition is in regards to certain inmates being given a more harsh sentence than others for the same crime; in conjunction with, inmates being oversenteced because of a crime that could have happened and not exactly what happened. My husband was sentenced to life in prison for being in the wrong place at the wrong time..This has destroyed my family and my children has suffered tremendously. Broken homes play a major role in the inflation of the crime rate and I feel the restoration of parents in the home will have a positive affect on our society has a whole.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Keyshaundra Johnson

Police shoot two women in Torrance in search for ex-LAPD copPolice shot two women in Torrance as they were delivering papers from their car in the early morning. There should be no reason to fear random acts of violence and especially not from the police. These officers did not even hesitate or ask questions before they opened fire and shot over 30 bullets into the back of a civilian truck. Injuring hardworking, unarmed Americans in the process. Our police force should have more discipline than a junkie with a weapon. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2013/02/torrance-shootings.html612 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Jordan

Preserve Vermonters' right to self defenseThere is no one who was not horrified by the slaughter of children at Sandy Hook elementary School. But these were the actions of a madman. Restricting the rights of law abiding Vermonters to self defense is not the answer. State Representative Linda Waite-Simpson's legislation, H.124, would ban the sale of magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition, and end the long standing Vermont tradition of being able to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. Please urge your Vermont state representative to oppose H.124 and protect your right to defend yourself and your family as you see fit.185 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Eddie Garcia
