Senator Hawley's actions directly put our nation's democracy at risk. He incited violence by his words and must be removed.

Our Constitution spells out in great detail the role of the Congress in the Electoral College system. Their role is to certify and count the Electoral College votes, not to litigate the results of the election. Republican Senate members Hawley, Cruz, Blackburn, Braun, Daines, Johnson, Kennedy, Lankford, Hagerty, Lummis, Marshall, and Tuberville desire to take on an unconstitutional role in this process purposefully sowed doubt in the integrity of the 2020 presidential election. Through their actions these members fan the flames of conspiracies regarding the election results in a further attempt to cast doubt on the integrity of the process all while claiming widespread fraud without providing any evidence to support such claims. Their actions were reckless, inciting the violent insurrection witnessed by millions around the world. The United States is a beacon to the world on how a democracy and a peaceful transfer of power should work. On January 6, 2021 that beacon was dimmed, almost extinguished, to due the reckless actions of these Republican members of the Senate, thus a censure and stripping of committee assignments is warranted to prevent such seditious acts from occurring in the future.

After the riotous attack on our Nation’s Capitol today we need to squelched all bad actors that incite the Trump base. Hawley’s persistence that the election was fraudulent is an assault on Democracy. His behavior puts all Americans at risk.

Remove Trump to save our country from more terrorism in his remaining days.

Consistently with this country’s history, women and people of color are given little celebration. Yet they have been the literal backbone of this nation. It is long overdue for their contributions to be noted.

Our nation has become the laughing stock of the world and countries like Russia and Iran are high fiving and celebrating their accomplishments. Never in U.S history has their been such anarchy spawned and cultivated by the devil in disguise, Donald J. Trump. The history books will undoubtedly record him as the worst President in American history but, we need to act now to prevent the further destruction of democracy in the next 14 days. The President of the United States wields tremendous power. This President is a clear and present danger and has actively supported insurrection. Impeachment would take too long. He is clearly incapacitated and unable to perform his duties. Vice-President Pence can be a caretaker until the inauguration of Joe Biden.

Senator Hawley claims to be fighting for the people, but in reality he is fighting for himself and Donald Trump. If he will not respect the will of the people, he does not deserve the privilege of serving them. He also has shown that he will use Missourians as a pawn in his game of power, no matter the cost to the Nation.

The Sandridge Volunteer Fire Department serves a large area that is growing. It is in desperate need of a vehicle to transport its first responders to calls. Currently, all of their vehicles only sit 2-3 people which leaves many calls left shorthanded. Safety gear that has been denied has put the first responders serving our community in an unsafe manner. These men and women are already risking their lives to serve our community, that is more than enough. Nobody should be asked to risk their lives without proper safety gear. We have lost 2/3 of the Sandridge Volunteer Fire Department's manpower because of the poor decisions of the Sandridge Volunteer Department Board. This is a severe hazard to our community.

It’s important because he’s currently locked in a system that said its purpose was “Rehabilitation” yet he’s being charged for actually Rehabilitating himself in that said system.

Donald Trump was caught on tape trying to overturn the result of the 2020 election. We cannot let him get away with it. Trump called Georgia's Secretary of State and, according to an audio recording of the call obtained by the Washington Post, Trump asked him to find enough votes to overturn Biden's win and hand Georgia to Trump. "I just want to find 11,780 votes," Trump demanded. Trump abused his power to seek to influence Georgia's Secretary of State to change the vote count, and made threats if they refused his demands. That's trying to corrupt the election, through and through. Even if Trump fails, and Georgia's Secretary of State has so far resisted Trump's demands, this sets a terrible precedent. We have to hold Trump accountable now in part to ensure nobody else tries this in the future. Congress has the constitutional means in the form of impeachment to stop Trump from abusing his power in order to cling to office. We should use that tool, now.
