Changes to NCRA’s position on contracting took place in 2016 without notice to membership. We request that NCRA continues its Government Relations support at the state level for anti-contracting legislation in keeping with its longstanding promotion of high ethical standards and its past statements on this subject: "NCRA believes that the focus should be on ethics, not money. Arizona, Arkansas, Nevada, and other states have the sovereign right and responsibility to make sure that court reporters are neutral and impartial, both in fact and appearance. The integrity of the judicial process and the confidence of the people under our rule of law require no less. "NCRA is constitutionally protected in its efforts to support state legislation that will preserve the integrity of the legal system by ensuring the neutral and impartial role of court reporters in the administration of justice as officers of the court and guardians of the record." If the board will not renew its efforts to support states in upholding the profession's integrity against contracting, the signators of this petition will enact our rights under the NCRA Constitution & Bylaws, Article IX, Section 5, and appeal such decision for a membership vote at the 2018 Annual Business Meeting.

Because of a couple of cases of domestic violence that I was involved in, but was proven to be the victim of, the IDFPR is holding my massage license, and questioning my morals because I thought such charges were dismissed (2 of the 3 were). Once they did their work and found that charges were dismissed, they pulled something up from 24 years ago, something minor that I was charged with. Help me put this to an end, sign this petition and let them know I am of upstanding character and morals. This current situation has cost me 40k in wages, as I cannot work until it is resolved. With tens of thousands of homeless veterans living in the streets of our country, in harsh conditions, without food or shelter, and tens of thousands of brave veterans struggling with PTSD and physical wounds, and a VA system that lacks funds and resources to properly help them... is throwing a big, lavish military parade at this moment in time a good use of our tax dollars? Shouldn't we take care of the people who fought and sacrificed for our nation first, instead of throwing money away on an antiquated show of force? We ask you to cancel plans for a military parade and use that money to help our veterans instead. That's the PATRIOTIC thing to do. Take care of our VETERANS!

TO SAVE the LIFE of children& wildlife close to Parks,schools,churches,libraries and daycares from cars. I have been Saving Wildlifes,at risk animal in the park,cats,& other abandoned animal in a local park for years.Last sunday they hit& killed one of my rescues,2 car were racing down hayden within 50 ft to the park entrance were she was born&lives.They did not stop,slowdown,a man said he was filming,which should be a crime if video is not given to police as evidance.This was the 2nd animal on one sunday they killed on hayden rd from racing and high speed cars. The same day,a skunk was killed in AM.Ive had also witness endangered birds kill by there careless drivers,Since riding the bus I've countless hit and run wildlife,pets that were hit& run, killed,dumped on the buss route. To Many to count. If you view the crash stats for Hayden rd & Riverside dr,you'll will see the Speed limit is to high,it a dangerus intersection.There have been many accidents& killed animal on this many road within a 1 mile of Parks,churches,play areas were children are.THIS Law is to protect children,adults walking,pats and WILDLIFE from careless drivers.
