• Pass net neutrality in Rhode Island
The federal government has tried to take away net neutrality, so we need Rhode Island to protect our rights. Rhode Island lawmakers have introduced two bills to do this. H7422, similar to recently passed laws in other states, says that any Internet service provider that does any business with state or local government must let all its customers access all the Internet with no selective slowing or blocking. H7076/S2008 is similar, but also has a section making all Internet service providers in the state follow net neutrality rules. Rhode Island should join other states in passing and upholding net neutrality laws so people don't lose the ability to access the full Internet.

  • Pennsylvania Net Neutrality
Net Neutrality is a 21st century First Amendment right. As important as Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, the economy, the fabric of society, and innovation. Allowing corporate America to take control of what can be seen or sent over the Net is wrong. Comcast has already begun selling faster business lanes for those who can afford it. Which a small business cannot. Time is quickly running out on this issue. Please sign on.

  • Montana "Fake" Service Dog Law
Making it illegal in Montana to misrepresent or falsify a service dog or a service dog in training. I personally have observed people placing service dog vests on "pets" to avoid additional costs for air travel and lodging. People taking advantage of this only makes it more difficult for legitimate service dog teams and people with disabilities.

We envision a place where children and adults of all ages can come to celebrate their love of the arts. A theater where we can celebrate the creativity and courage of the artists in our community; while inspiring and encouraging others to build an appreciation for the performing arts.

  • Protect the Mature Trees in Charlesgate Park from MassDOT damage
I have lived in the neighborhood for over 15 years and am a member of the Charlesgate Alliance which is working hard to restore the Charlesgate Park to its original glory before the Bowker was erected. The Charlesgate Alliance has raised money and commissioned plans for restoration but the current MassDOT use of the area is endangering the mature and irreplaceable trees. MassDOT claims they have community support to extend their lease and I am organizing this petition to show that the neighborhood is strongly AGAINST it.

  • Connecticut College: Retain Dr. Andrea Baldwin
It has come to the attention of the students of Connecticut College that Dr. Andrea Baldwin is not being offered a tenure-track position, without first having to compete in a national search. We (the students of Connecticut College) feel that this completely devalues all the work Dr. Baldwin has done on this campus. This includes taking on many voluntary academic positions, such as the co-chair of Africana Studies and (position) of the CCSRE. Furthermore, it does not recognize all the work she has done for her students, both academically and personally. There is a long history of professors of color (specifically women of color) being denied tenure track at Connecticut College. As it currently stands, only 26.4% of full-time faculty are professors of color and only 7.1% of full-time faculty are Black or African American, this does not separate tenure, tenure-track professors. We find this disgraceful in an institution that claims to pride itself on equity and inclusion. Not only does Connecticut College fail to hire an adequate amount of professors of color, they fail even more gravely to retain them. Especially women of color. It is infuriating that students were not involved in the decision to forfeit Dr. Baldwins possibility of being a tenure-track hire. We find this to be especially disgraceful because the college prides itself on including students in these types of decisions and holds shared governance with its students to be a top priority. Finally, what is most obvious and disgraceful, is that the GWS department has now twice in the past five years created possibilities for exceptional “opportunity hires”. Both professors who were lucky enough to benefit from these opportunity hires are both white cisgendered professors, who were both granted tenure. The hires took place in a time where the GWS department was at risk of “no longer being a department”. It is clear that the department of “Gender, Sexuality, and Intersectionality” is, with out Dr. Baldwin, at risk again. This is why Dr. Bawdwin should have been and should still be considered for an opportunity hire to be placed in immediate tenure, or at least be granted a tenure-track position. It should be a priority of the school to retain professors of color by any means necessary especially when they have so clearly been valuable to student experience here at Conn.

  • No Tolerance For Bully On Live Me
I think we have all seen the effects of bullying of a person either in day to day life or on the app. Some people can brush off the harsh words, but some people are really effected by the words that are said to them. Please sign this petition if you want to see a zero tolerance policy placed on liveme so that the accounts that are doing the bullying are banned from having their account. The people that come into a broadcast to tell people they are ugly, stupid, etc needs to stop. As well as in family chats and DM messages. Although you can block people, you can't always stop them before the words are said. Bullying can mentally harm a person and cause them to cause harm.
