• Save Mrs. Pettyjohn's home from the City of LaFayette
The city of LaFayette, GA. is railroading Mrs. Pettyjohn out of her home on S. Main St. It's obvious the city has their own agenda of what they want to do with her property. Please sign and help try to prevent this.

  • Preserve Unused Land for Park and Recreation Zones
This petition seeks to preserve this open acreage where Bend area residents currently hike, bike or just walk, rather than see every such property be turned into real estate developments. This affects our quality of life, which is the very reason so many have moved to the Bend area in the first place. We need such places close to our homes to go for walks, enjoy exercise, enjoy undeveloped, open land we can walk to after work, or on the weekends with our families, without having to drive for half an hour to get there! And there has been so much development in Bend, that we now have to speak out to preserve what we have.

  • Replace the Hate in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools
My daughter has been the target of racially discriminatory, gender degrading, belief insulting harassment by the same student who has spewed hate speech at her twice in the past year. I will not allow it to happen for a third instance. My child and all children deserve to feel safe, supported, and equally important in school. We must demand accountability from our school system to ensure their policy is put into ACTION.

  • Banning "Dumb & Dangerous" Meters in Washington State
Technology should serve the people and not oppress the people. The more you study smart meters, the more you will NOT want them on your house or in your state. Hi Smart meters are being rolled out despite being a class 2b probable carcinogen, causing heart arrhythmia, head ache, other health problems and invasion of privacy. Private military organizations and utilities were awarded 3.4 billion to implement smart meters and smart grid against peoples wishes and behind the false premise of "green". We should be able to choose if we want our privacy invaded and if we want to expose ourselves to carcinogens. This invades our Constitutional rights to privacy, liberty and life. That's why I signed a petition to President Donald Trump, Governor jay Inslee, The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate, The Washington State House, and The Washington State Senate, which says: “We the undersigned citizens of Washington State are very upset at the idea of having smart meters imposed upon us. We have researched this new technology and now understand that it is not healthy. Indeed, given their inaccuracies and health risks these meters are more accurately called “dumb dangerous” meters rather than "smart" meters. Smart meters/smart grid is an assault on the health of Americans and an invasion of our privacy. People should be informed about the risks of having a smart meter.People should not be charged a penny to retain their health and privacy. That is extortion and should be punishable be jail instead of funded by our government! Public Utility Commissions (PUCs) and legislators across the country need protect our constitutional right to heath, life and privacy! Corporations should not be able to profit at the expense of public health or by trampling on our Constitutional rights!"

  • Against Animal Experiments at Utah University.
As an avid makeup user and animal lover, I didn't take a second thought of how companies test their products. As I began to research Animal experiments for a school paper what I found was horrific. Most of the animals being experimented on for medicine and cosmetics are being chemically burned, paralyzed and injected with synthetic drugs. Ninety percent of drugs tested on animals fail in humans because of our body makeup. Some animals are even rejected pain medicine causing them to suffer.

  • Roses for All! Bring back the Tuesday and Saturday Free Hours at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden!
I am heartbroken that the Brooklyn Botanical Garden has practically erased it's free admission hours. My high school students used to go after school on Tuesdays to sit under the cherry blossoms. Families used to spend Tuesdays, and Saturday mornings wandering the paths, their children delighting in wonders we city folks can't normally access. We have to raise our standards; it is not okay for our cultural institutions to be available only to the economically privileged. When I was a kid, the garden was free to all, every day. My mother still remembers the day, right after they began charging, that a big family turned away in disappointment, unable to afford entry. Free hours only on a Friday morning mean that no working person can go, and no young people can go. This is unacceptable! I have lived in Brooklyn my entire life, and been a member of the garden for the last four years. It is one of my favorite places. And I miss the sweetness of the Tuesday scene when the garden filled with families, youth, couples on dates. This is a plea to fix this wrong immediately; please BBG, be the community resource you are meant to be. Do not participate in discrimination!

  • Save Public Water Accesses
Zundel's Road going to Mobile Bay in Point Clear, AL was blocked with a fence by the County Commission on April 24, 2018. My husband and I tore down the fence and deposited it in the Commissioner's office. We have stopped the Commission four times before but they continue to ignore the Alabama Supreme Court decision in (McPhillips v. Brodbeck) of 1971 that states you cannot block vehicular access on Zundel's Road.

  • A change to AMC Theaters
I'm starting this petition because deaf and hearing impaired people do actually exist and like to be able to enjoy the same luxuries as people who can hear fine. The theaters do not treat these people fairly and provide very poor equipment for them. A massive change needs to happen and this is just the start.
