We are in the final stage of the town board's irreversible decision on whether to sell EPCAL at low cost to Calverton Aviation and Technology, a paper corporation under the complete control of the Ghermezian family's private company Triple Five. The Ghermezians insist they take 1,000 acres of irreplaceable land that they will not stipulate is truly undevelopable. They refuse to accept contract provisions that would permanently protect the town from use or resale for gambling or purposes other than aviation, science and technology. Unless Councilwoman Giglio recuses herself because of the impropriety of her private meeting with the Ghermezians, the sale will soon be approved by a Party line vote despite the clear mandate of last November's election. Only a strong voice from the community can stop this self-interested disaster and protect Riverhead from the corrupting influence demonstrated by the Ghermezians in Nevada (see tinyurl.com/votenoEPCAL )

This petition is in support of Indian Athletics and Athletes. All support for Sport is directed towards cricket, and it ends up sucking the oxygen. It is time for other sports to receive equal treatment.

I used to work at Chipotle and I thought I was doing something good for animals. Chipotle brags about using "free-range" animals and treating them with respect, but when I went to a Chipotle-supplying chicken farm, I saw dead and mutilated birds. I couldn't believe this was being called "humane." I used to be one of the people calling this "humane" and being proud of it, but now I know the truth. Chipotle's CEO needs to stop lying to the public and to warn them about the way animals are suffering to produce the products Chipotle sells. Chipotle already posts warning signs when they are serving animal products that don't meet their highest standards, but they should be posting warnings of violence on ALL of their animal products because even on their "humane" farms, Direct Action Everywhere has documented cruel animal abuse and the public deserves to know the truth.

I have been hit twice in an intersections with cameras on it as well as have seen others hit in the same intersection. Mine and the others I have seen were hit and runs. Also drivers stink and often block traffic and make traffic worse parking in intersections. It would be an easy way to generate income and keep Oakland citizens safe as well as help out with other cases which are near intersections that may be being investigated.

Eerie was a defining show in my life as a writer. Now my son loves it more than the Goosebumps series. There is a need for a paranormal show that families can enjoy together.

My family became homeless June 9, 2017. Our roof was damaged in a severe wind/hail storm August 5, 2015. After filing an insurance claim one vehicle was paid and we told roof was fine. After two years of being extremely sick and almost near death we found out why. Water leaked through the damaged roof down the wall cavitatys in our children’s bedrooms. We couldn’t see it, smell it, nor had any idea it was there. After a second claim with the insurance for fungi/bacteria coverage we pay for, begin the longest two years. One engineer who said no active/dormant mold, a second engineer who came up with a completely non related reason and photoshopped the pictures in the report (left the blending tool in a few pictures), we hired our own company. Levels so high that a company do this kind of testing had never seen in twenty five years. The day we became homeless with nothing but the clothes on our backs but finally the answer to our health problems. Not a single community action program, state department, or federal department would help us. Why? No guidelines for unhealthy/healthy mold levels and human health! We were literally left out in the cold paying a mortgage for a home we have watched slowly fall while battling it out! We are no different then fire victims! If there were federal and even state guidelines we could’ve been declared a disaster just like a fire victim and received some gudieance as what or where to go! Instead we’ve been threaten to have our children removed from our care because we live in a camper in our back yard, consistently harrassed by our county officials even trying to do the right thing and obtain a special permit for our camper and to be able to live in it. And failed by every state department that was designed to protect us from situations like this. We must have guidelines and it’s a huge issue all across the nation!
