Scientific research has shown that primates such as chimpanzees possess a wide array of traits that would seem to suggest that they are rational, autonomous beings capable of feeling emotional and physical pain and being unhappy with their environment. Chimpanzees such as Hercules and Leo should not be kept caged up in inhumane research facilities that would put them in distressing emotional and physical states.

It is truly cumbersome to drive at snail speed when your car as well as the large highway that you drive on are both capable of maintaining high speeds without compromising the safety of you, as well as your fellow drivers.

Too many local families are getting caught in the debt cycle to leave this industry unregulated. This debt is bad for families and bad for the local economy. People I know and love have been hurt badly by these loans - and not just in the pocket book. The stress these loans have placed on family stability is really tough to see.

This civil court case in California where I was awarded a home as partial payment on a money judgment owed to me.. In 2004 the people who owed me had tried to get several loans against the house before I got it and were turned down by three title companies because of my recorded judgment. These people had a daughter who worked at First American Title and she had her cousins wife apply for a loan and asked them to use First American. The daughter worked at the title plant and withheld my judgment so the bank would give her the loan so she could pull out $139k for her father. They got the loan and when I told the bank and the title company they committed fraud to get the loan they said prove it. After many more years in court I got the deed overturned because of the fraud. Wells Fargo didn't care that this was the only asset I had and that the people who committed the fraud and owed the bank over $139k hadn't been on title since 2009. Wells Fargo could've collected their money from the title company, but chose not to do the right thing. So on 4/14/15 they foreclosed on that loan and took my house to pay the fraudulent loan. Of course Wells Fargo told me if I didn't like what they where doing I should get an attorney. Over the years I had spent over $100k in this battle and had no money left to fight. I've had 3 back surgeries over the past 4 years and been on disability as a result. Attorney's and the court system are the one's who put innocent people in a position where at some point you don't have anything left to fight for what is right. You can do everything the court ask and be 100% right, but if you don't have the best attorney it doesn't matter. If I didn't have God and a loving family I would be really lost. I am part of the growing Anti-AA movement. We, of the Anti-AA movement, have watched AA ideology destroy and kill the more vulnerable members of AA and other related 12 Step Groups. Many of us have also almost been destroyed by the psychological abuse of AA ourselves. AA does not show a significant statistical long term success rate, but it is increasingly showing more and more victims. The Christian Church, and again, even anyone who simply believes in the most basic teaching of Jesus, needs to stop allowing meetings in buildings under their control and/or stop encouraging friends and followers to attend AA.

"Spring Forward" is associated with *an increase in heart attacks. *an increase in traffic accidents, many of which are fatalities. *an increase in on-the-job accidents, many of which are heavy equipment accidents. *an increase in suicides. *an increase in risk of being hit or assaulted for students waiting for school buses in the darkness. *an increase in insomnia/sleep deprivation for children and adults. *difficulties of parents to get children to go to bed with it light outside. *difficulties of teachers who try to teach to sleep deprived students who do poorly on schoolwork and tests. *difficulties in adjusting animals to new feeding schedules. *payroll nightmares of businesses. AND Year round DST is not an affordable/timely option. IF Texas passed a bill for year round DST, TX would be in violation of the Uniform Time Act of 1966, which permits states to opt out of DST but does not permit states to opt out of Standard Time. Going 30 mins either way is against this act too. Texas would suffer penalties from the Dept. of Transportation, like losing all federal funding for highways. A Congressional Authorization "might" be possible, but that battle would take years and years and years. The only timely/affordable option to end time changes is to opt out of DST.
