Ask Amazon to please Stop Selling Confederate Flag Posters-T-Shirts-Bumper Stickers and Confedera...The Confederate flag is not a symbol of southern pride but rather a symbol of rebellion and racism. On the heels of the brutal killing of nine Black people in a South Carolina church by a racist terrorist, it's time to put that symbol of rebellion and racism behind us and move toward healing and a better United States of America!636 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Mark Whisler

Designate The Remains Of "Splendid China Florida" As A Historic LandmarkWhen Walt Disney World opened in 1971, the Central Florida area began to take on a new shape and personality. With the growth of tourist attractions in the 1970's, 80's, and early 90's, a unique and original feel began to emerge on the side of 192, International Drive, and Universal Boulevard. The memory of these long-gone institutions are slowly fading, erasing what charm the attractions brought to the area. Xanadu, Arabian Nights, King Henry's Feast, and Water Mania are all attractions that no longer grace the billboards of Interstate 4. Splendid China represents one of the most charming, original, and magnificently planned tourism operations that came to Central Florida. Over 6 1/2 million handmade bricks alone were used in the creation of the park's Great Wall of China, a testament to the artistry and creativity that went into bringing the country's beauty and splendor to its guests. Over time, the park fell to the Post 9/11 tourism slump, which claimed several other Kissimmee/Orlando attractions. Vandals and thieves began tearing away at the park's buildings and defacing the holy statues that many created by hand. Splendid China's presence served as a reminder of Orlando's unique diversity, while also becoming a target of Tibetan activism throughout its time in operation. The park has become somewhat of a mystery and ideal location for "urban explorers" who post videos of the decay in an attempt to gain publicity for their endeavors. The park's rolling hills, handmade structures, and artistic remains should be accessible to everyone, not only those trespassing. The story of this once glorious attraction can educate current and future residents about our city's culture, economic hardships, and relationship with the tourism industry in which we rely.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by DAVID VASQUEZ

We want safer streets: NO Dynamic Message Sign on 24th Ave E. & E. Lee St.SDOT's stated reason for installing a sign in this particular location is to alert drivers of incidents between Boyer Ave E and Husky Stadium. In the case of an incident, the sign will instruct motorists to turn west onto Boyer Ave E to avoid the backup. This DMS will be the only one of it’s kind in a single-family residential neighborhood. SDOT has said that installation will run $400,000. I am concerned because: * By the time you reach 24th & E. Lee, there are very few options to avoid traffic other than cutting through our neighborhoods, causing excess traffic and safety concerns. * The sign creates a visual distraction on an already dangerous street for pedestrians and bikers. This will further endanger us as we attempt to cross the street. * SDOT has failed to engage the community on this installation. While they informed the homes that are north of the corner in December 2015, they did not reach out to homes south, east or west of the installation site. * This sign will direct vehicles, including large commercial trucks and tractor-trailers, to use Boyer Ave E. Boyer Ave E. is a narrow residential street that is a major commuting route for bicyclists. It also is the home of school and church. Time is of the essence on this issue as SDOT has stated their intention to install the sign this summer. I am requesting your help in stopping it.522 of 600 SignaturesCreated by CDS

Demand that prostitution be outlawed in Israel todayProstitution is a form of modern-day slavery. Every day over 15,000 women, men and children in Israel are exploited for sexual services against their will. They are victims of trafficking, fraud, debt manipulation, drug addiction, extreme emotion and physical violence, sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies. The average prostitute receives between 15 to 20 clients per day, creating approximately 1,000,000 sex transactions per month in Israel. No healthy, sane human being decides to work in prostitution out of free choice.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by The Jerusalem Institute of Justice

Ban The Confederate FlagThe Confederate Flag represents a Southern History, Southern Heritage, and Southern Culture for those who chose to oppose equality during The American Civil War. No matter who opposes, The Confederate Flag, is a Honorable Artifact, notably worthy of being remembered. Unfortunately, without proper law and order, Americans have traditionally misused the Flag, warranting hate crimes. As a result, the effects have been similar to a person misusing the purpose of a kitchen knife. Theoretically speaking, the Kitchen Knife was made to prepare food, but if misused, it becomes a weapon. The purpose of using the Kitchen Knife, as a prime example, is because it Is owned by every household in America. By-Law, owning one, doesn't give Americans the right to use it to make threats, inflict pain, injury or other hostile actions on people, In recompense or retribution for something done or not done. The Confederate Flag is not to blame for People who have abused their privileges; People who have symbolically created it as a weapon of mass destruction; People who flamboyantly renounce the genuity of the flag, with no remorse for being guilty by association. The despicable misuse of what the Confederate Flag stands for, is a public nuisance; Progress will continue to free-lance until the law calls for order. Now is the time, We stand together to petition to Ban The Confederate Flag, that it be placed in a safe place, where objects of historical, scientific, artistic, and cultural importances are stored. May the resignation of The Confederate Flag, victoriously belong to the people who won to heal. We pray, Their efforts were not in vain. As it is ordained, We hold these truths as evidence, All Men are created equal.220 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Carolyn

New York State Democratic Party: Let Bernie Sanders on the Democratic Primary BallotBernie Sanders is one of the most honest politicians out there - he deserves to have a chance at the Democratic primaries. Because of New York's Wilson Pakula Act, Bernie may be barred from running for the Democratic nomination in New York because he is not officially affiliated with the Democratic Party. However, certain exceptions are granted if a candidate gets permission from the state political party leaders. Despite this, the New York State Democratic Party is quite content to leave Bernie's name out of the primary. Please, tell the New York State Democratic Party: We Want Bernie's name on the ballot! Only then can we have a good public discourse among candidates on issues that matter to New Yorkers and to the whole country.1,714 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Jonathan Zheng

Fund the 6 community centers still without air conditioning and proper water fountains! On June 17,2015, my son was at the Shelby community center playing basketball when he suffered a heat stroke. He collapsed three times, hitting his head twice and losing control of his muscles and vision. Luckily his dad arrived and began pouring water on his head and ran him home to a cool bath before heading to the emergency room. The temperature in the gym was 105°and the water fountain only had hot water. He was treated at the hospital with iv fluids and underwent multiple tests. His headache is going on day three and he still has little strength and energy but otherwise was able to come home. This could have ended in tragedy and the next child might not be lucky enough to recover so well. When I contacted metro parks I discovered that Shelby center was one of 6 centers that still had not been upgraded with a/c and proper fountains. Since budget and funding are the only things keeping these centers from being upgraded, we need more funding allotted to these centers immediately. No child's life should be in jeopardy in a place created to be a safe environment for them and no amount of money will ever be worth the loss of life that could occur.77 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Angi Wallace

Charleston: Brokenhearted, we stand with youLast night, 21-year-old Dylann Roof entered Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina and asked to sit with Pastor Clementa Pinckney. After one hour, Roof stood up and opened fire, fatally shooting 9 Black people. It is hard to make sense of such an unspeakable tragedy, to know what to do in the face of such vile terrorism. Our hearts and minds are with the families and loved ones of those killed, survivors and the AME community at large as they begin the long and difficult journey towards healing. Yesterday's massacre confirms that for Black communities, there is no safe haven from the violence and brutality of racism, not even a house of worship. In the coming days there will be much work to do to address the root causes of this tragedy and to secure justice for those who lost their lives, but today we stand with our community and the families in grief and mourning over this devastating event. Will you sign the card below to support the survivors and family members of those killed? We will deliver your voices in person along with flowers.25,699 of 30,000 SignaturesCreated by Rashad Robinson

KENTUCKY CEMETERY LEGISLATIONKentucky citizens and consumers should be allowed the expectation that their loved ones will be treated with the same dignity and respect in death as they are in life. Kentucky State Law should provide regulated protection in upholding the sanctity of the handling and disposition of human remains and the preservation of final resting places. Ky law should require and ensure that ALL deceased be accorded equal treatment and respect for human dignity without reference to ethnic origins, cultural backgrounds, or religious affiliations. The cemetery industry and operations in Kentucky, should be declared to affect the public health, safety, and well-being of its citizens and to be subject to regulation and control in the public interest. The FTC monitors and regulates funeral homes, but cemetery legislation is nearly "non-existent"111 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Bill Dudley
