• Trapped Animals Intentionally Tortured by Charlotte County Florida
Charlotte County Florida Employees are intentionally torturing trapped hogs spearing and slashing them and leaving them to die. The evidence was captured on a County Surveillance camera. This is a clear violation of Florida Statute 828.12 which forbids “excessive or repeated infliction of unnecessary pain or suffering upon any animal.” Charlotte County refuses to fire those responsible and their superior who is to be held accountable for these brutal acts. PETA has investigated and issued an alert "Demand for Justice". http://www.peta.org/action/action-alerts/demand-justice-florida-pigs-tortured-traps/ Click this link and you will see some of the photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8747nfyevxp1a3w/AAA6J5i7hzAdeChQQYNhnis0a/6-13-14?dl=0 Fox News Story: http://www.jrn.com/fox4now/news/Woman-promises-to-interfere-with-inhumane-animal-traps-288614251.html We want Charlotte County to stop this activity and dismiss those employees ASAP. Charlotte County cannot leave these employees on the job. Leaving these people on the job will not resolve what happened and is not the message that our citizens deserve.

  • Make Equal Housing Opportunity TRULY equal
I am a 29 year old male and I live in the state of Tennessee, county of Davidson, city of Nashville. My roommate and I have recently started looking for a bigger apartment recently and even applied for an apartment that fit our financial needs and space. Later that day, we received noticed that we were denied due to "credit risk". I make over 3 times the base rent alone and with my roommate, we both make over 4 times the base rent. I may not have perfect credit (low 500s due to student loans), but I am still a person that is trying to make a living and have a decent home, just like everyone else. I have never been arrested, never been to jail, never been evicted, and I don't owe any properties any money. I know plenty of people that this has affected and they are also having a hard time finding a place to live. A person's credit should not be the only determining factor on if a person is eligible to rent a property. The management should look at other factors as well such as employment, previous history (as long as there are no evictions and payments are made, regardless if it is late), income, and criminal background. Make rental properties TRULY equal so that hard working Americans like myself can get the housing that they deserve.

  • Oliver Outdoor Advertising: Turn Off the Digital Billboard
This case is an example of the ongoing and rampant abuse of the public realm by the billboard industry. Everyone deserves a good night's sleep, even if billboard companies feel otherwise.

  • Beards for Army: Revise AR 670-1
I think all men should be allowed to have a beard while in the military as long as it kept trimmed. If you allow it for religious reasons, it should be allowed for everyone, no matter their religion.

  • Stop Sanderson from Spoiling Sampson
The Sampson County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to let Sanderson Farms know, by letter, that they are interested in having a high-volume chicken processing plant built in Sampson County. The recruitment of Sanderson Farms should be stopped. Two other counties in this state have already voiced their opinion; and they do not want Sanderson Farms. We should not want them either.

  • NO TO THE SOCIAL CLUB SWINGER'S CLUB IN MADISON
We are starting this petition because our children are the future. Neighborhoods matter. Communities have a voice. We do not want this establishment (a hard core sex club called The Social Club) relocating to 520 Lentz Drive which is next door to Goodpasture Christian School K-12, in a medical building in a medical professional campus where there are pediatric doctors, in our evolving business district, nor in our residential areas. Our once darling Madison has suffered enough from blight and economic loss. We are working hard to bring back our community. Madison, TN, is on a mission for healthy revitalization and attracting elite investors and strong developers to bring this community back to a quality of life area to live, work and play for its residents, employees, business owners and service folks. We do not want these negative-type businesses dragging down the value of our properties, contributing to loss of business to others, sabotaging economic worth for the community and threatening our quality of life in our area. We as a community feel disrespected by this business because they never considered impact on community as part of their location research. This petition will continue until we stop this club from opening at 520 Lentz Drive, see the location here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1HJGSvMLSIZSBshJ0XcmSgLWBTOME6hp-tu2m103kyUk/edit?usp=docslist_api

  • I stand with John Dehlin.
"Thoughts and expressions compete in the marketplace of thought and in that competition, truth emerges triumphant. [….] Only error fears freedom of expression. [….] The free exchange of ideas is not to be deplored as long as men and women remain humble and teachable. Neither fear of consequence or any kind of coercion should ever be used to secure uniformity of thought in the church. People should express their problems and opinions and be unafraid to think without fear of ill consequences […] We must preserve freedom of the mind in the church and resist all efforts to suppress it. We should all exercise our God- given right to think and be unafraid to express our opinions…” — President Hugh B. Brown

  • Save McGinnis School
I myself went to McGinnis school as a child. I was appalled when I heard it was going to be demolished. There is no reason for it, except perhaps in the name of corporate profit, Many East Brunswick Citizens feel the same way.

  • MEDICINE WHEEL ON DAHLONEGA GOLD MUSEUM GROUNDS
The native tribes of Georgia were moved to Oklahoma during the gold rush in Dahlonega and there is very little history at the museum about their loss and struggle. We want a monument of healing added to the museum grounds as soon as we can! This would be a long needed site for forgiveness and justice. A place of reverence, as never to let greed overshadow human rights again in our State.
