• Rush Limbaugh is on the run! Don't let him escape!
After a highly successful campaign resulted in massive advertiser boycotts of WABC, the station that carries Rush Limbaugh's daily lunacy, profits have plummeted. The head of WABC has put the blame directly where it belongs -- on Rush Limbaugh and his offensive statements, including those about Sandra Fluke where he went as far as to call her a "slut" for speaking out in favor of access to birth control.   Rush has decided that instead of owning up to the damage he's done to WABC, he'll simply move to rival station WOR if WABC keeps being a big meanie and blaming him for the lost revenue. Let's convince WOR not to give him an escape route.

  • Nut Free Section at Turner Field
My son, Ethan, has a severe nut allergy. This allergy makes attending professional sporting events risky. Ethan is also an avid baseball fan, who loves attending Braves games at Turner Field. However, Turner Field is one of the professional arenas that has no designated "Nut Free" section. Being amongst fans who are enjoying peanuts is a health risk for children like mine. Help me convince the Braves excutives that creating a safe environment for children with nut allergies should be a priority.

  • Welcome Home Vetrans!
California has the largest electronic message board system in the nation. Usually it displays innocuous messages; over memorial Day, why can't they be used to welcome home our heroes? It is a revenue neutral, but highly effective way to welcome home all of California's returning(ed) military men and women.

  • Save Ashland OR Parks - Recall Mayor & City Council
The Ashland Parks & Recreation Dept. has had separate funding since the City Charter of 1908. The City is currently moving through Committees, rather than through a vote open to the general public, to take the monies the Parks & Recs has SAVED for a rainy day (remember the 1997 flood?) and put it in the City GENERAL FUND which will pay for other services first, and the Parks LAST.

  • Tell the Southern Tioga School Board to rescind its vote to fire and subcontract its cafeteria em...
On April 29, the Southern Tioga School Board illegally vote to fire the 28 union cafeteria employees and to subcontract their work to an out of town for-profit corporation. Our public schools are not for sale to the highest bidder!

  • Save Food Trucks in DC
The DC City Council is considering regulations which would make it nearly impossible for food trucks to operate. I love DC food trucks and want them to keep serving food.

  • FAME: Save Chef Jose Medrano at Internal Revenue Service
Chef Jose Medrano, one of the best chefs apart of the Internal Revenue Service cafeteria staff, was fired by FAME on Friday, May 3, 2013 with no notice and no explanation. Jose is a great chef who is very popular with the IRS employees and very professional in performing his duties. He efficiently oversaw the daily operations of the cafeteria, going above and beyond his job description most of the time. Jose should be rehired by FAME as a chef for the IRS cafeteria or any other location. He is the friendly, accommodating face that encourages the IRS employees and others to return day-after-day to purchase their meals. Please sign this petition to help get Chef Jose Medrano back into sharing his lively spirit and passion for cooking with FAME.

  • Deerfield Estates: Buckhorn Fence Project
Residents of Deerfield Estates were effected by the City of Lorain's change in building plans when Ryan Homes took over the land that Tower Park homes was originally supposed to build on. The specific change is that there is no longer any type of barrier separating the backyards of the homes on Buttercup Lane from Buckhorn Blvd. This creates a safety, privacy, and aesthetic issue for the entire community. Allowing the Deerfield Estates Home Owner's Association to place a white vinyl privacy fence along the stretch of Buckhorn Blvd would rectify this situation.

I feel that since it is up to the people to fix our economy, maybe we should have some financial support for it.
