For the future of the planet, we must address my petition. We must melt all the guns down . Start with the first and end with the last, no matter how many die until this is accomplished. Include tanks, ammunition, warships, drones, shotguns, rifles, handguns and all weapons that can be used to kill babies.

In the next few months, Congress is going to debate some incredibly important issues, like the debt ceiling, mandatory budget cuts, and a possible government shutdown. Republicans have made it clear they will fight to cut domestic spending and the Social Security and Medicare I've worked for and paid into all my life. Barney Frank has never been afraid of a fight, and if appointed to the Senate to replace John Kerry, he won't back down in defending working families and seniors like me.

In light of the recent tragedy in Connecticut, the safety of our children in schools should be a top priority. School security must be reevaluated. This petition advocates that the Orange School District consider and implement additional security measures to protect our children, including the fortification and/or re-design of entryways, improvement of emergency response systems, and the hiring of additional security personnel.

Facebook has become a cultural norm for teenagers. Kids spend all of their free time on the computer instead of developing personal relationships, or other creative healthy pastimes; and it creates a footprint that could be damaging to them in the future in ways they cannot possibly understand (because we don;t know how all that info is even being used right now..).

Just a test to see what this is all about

Time is running out in the Illinois House to pass a common sense bill that would allow 250,000 immigrants to apply for driver's licenses. SB 957 has already been passed by the Senate, and Governor Quinn has said he'll sign it. But the legislature adjourns tomorrow, which means the House must pass the bill RIGHT NOW. The bill allows Illinois immigrants to apply for driver's licenses--which will allow them to get to work, go to the doctor's office, and take care of their families, without the fear of deportation. And it requires that ALL Illinois motorists be tested, registered, licensed, and insured--making Illinois roads safer for all drivers. Time is running out. Help turn this bill into law by using this form to tell Illinois lawmakers to pass the immigrant driver's license bill today.

President Obama has nominated former Senator Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense. As Secretary of Defense, Hagel will work to end the war in Afghanistan, cut the Pentagon budget, and prevent war with Iran. Cutting the Pentagon and foreign wars will free money for domestic needs, like preventing cuts to Social Security and Medicare benefits. Right-wing pro-war groups are working to block the Hagel nomination. Urge your Senators to speak up for and vote to confirm President Obama's nominee, Chuck Hagel.

Oregon and New Jersey are the only 2 states that do not allow the motor vehicle consumer to pump their own gasoline. These laws forbidding self-service gasoline are outdated and not sound. There is no constitutional basis to restrict the self servicing of one's gasoline tanks. Repeal these restrictions on Pumping Your Own Gasoline.

The only reason this school has a no-hat policy is because of gangster hats, distracting hats, and people playing with their hats. With a slightly altered dress code for head wear, all hats but gangster and distracting hats would be allowed. I'm not the only person rooting for the "go hats" side.
