• Gun control is it guns?Gun nut,s?Or the mentally challenged?
    I personally have known people who were mentally retarded and have been placed in prison.In this day and time that is unforgivable.The last two outbreaks of gun violence were by people with mental problems.In a modern society we need places,funded by the government that can properly take care of these people.Its not a second ammendment issue,its not about gun nuts and its not about more security in the schools.Its not a religious issue, it common sense!

    Processed food such as sugar drinks and salty snacks contribute to increase rates in obesity and diabetes. Obesity and diabetes increase over all healthcare costs much of which is borne by government. A tax would help offset these costs to government and the increased price would decrease consumption.

  • Enact legislation to protect farm animals from abuse.
    Factory farming practices are extremely out of hand. With the debate on whether or not to eat meat always taking center stage, we lose sight that we ALL can raise our voices to proclaim that abuse of any animal is not right! Farm animals are excluded from almost all federal and state animal protection and anti-cruelty laws, making them susceptible to numerous abuses that that would be illegal if inflicted on a dog or cat. Ask our government to enact legislation to stop the abuse of farm animals.

  • Gun Rights Should Have A Price
    Citizens have a right to own guns, but certain guns have particularly high costs to society. Therefore, they should be taxed to defray those costs or prevent those costs from accruing. These taxes should provide funding for improved school security, psychiatric services focused on reducing violence, and compensation for victims of violence from the weapons most likely to be used in attacks which will have multiple victims.

HJ was also the creator of the Bronze Buckaroo movies. The great thing is that this American hero is still alive and about to turn 100 this year.

  • McDonald's does not offer employees holiday pay
    I have been employed at McDonald's since November 5, 2011. I have had to work long shifts on three different holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve. They do not offer holiday pay at all. I worked for minimum wage on all three of those holidays and did not get to spend any time with my family. I think it's a travesty of justice that a billion dollar corporation cannot at least pay their employees holiday pay. What then is my incentive to want to work on those special days?
