Most of us skaters can not get all the way out to the skatepark we currently have. The current skatepark we have breaks a lot and does not conform to all of our skating styles. Most of the skaters in Searcy skate around business' of downtown Searcy. If we had a skatepark that was in downtown Searcy it would keep us out of the local business' way.

You should be concerned because one day your child may come home hungry and upset because they could not eat at school all day and had to watch others eat. I have seen this happen and had it happen to a family member and I am a mother of a child that will be in school in a few years.

I am on Social Security. It's not an "entitlement." I have paid into Social Security all of my working life. And so have you! Do not let the federal government steal our money! Social Security is solvent. It should not be touched. Let the government take money from the bloated Pentagon budget, or from corporations that pay no taxes.

Once again they are talking of a GRAND BARGAIN that will cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The middle class and the poor have been hammered for the last 30 years. It is time to reverse the trend and insure that all the citizen of the United States can have a measure of security and dignity.

The Postal Accountability & Enhancement Act of 2006 requires the USPS to pay forward health benefits 75 years in advance over a period of 10 years. This is something that no other government agency or corporation has to do. It has caused decrease in service and closure of post office and processing facilities. It has generated a 5 billion dollar tax which the taxpayers are paying in the form of decreased service and employment. The USPS is no no longer able to continue its long standing practice of hiring large numbers of veterans for career jobs. This assault on the USPS is designed to lead to privatization of the post office. This would end up in higher costs and decreased service to rural areas. It might also mean we lose our door to door delivery of mail. This could pose hardship on many elderly and disabled. We cannot lose our valued postal delivery service. PAEA of 2006 should be repealed.

Timberline Stables and its management have been commited to bringing the gift of horses specifically to troubled and struggling youth, as well as the general public. The owners have continually provided support and networking to surrounding businesses and helped turn a struggling small town resort community into a viable place for business. They support programs for Troubled teens like Applewood house and The Journey both pioneered by Q & A associates of Canaan Valley, WV. They recently opened a new restaurant called Deerfield to help support these fantastic programs and bring jobs to Canaan Valley only to be told by Timberline Four Seasons Resort and Lodge AFTER opening their doors that if they were going to open a Resaurant they were no longer welcome to run the horse program on their property because they feared it would take away business and compete with the thriving lodge restaurant. PLEASE help me save this wonderful farm so that it can continue to enrich the lives of so many people!

Here in America, more than 16 million children live in poverty. During these hard economic times, America's children are some of the most vulnerable and hard hit by this rough recession. Children who are hungry can't concentrate in school because they are too worried about their next meal. Congress has the power and the duty to make sure that every child in America is fed; however, they have only cut benefits for SNAP. Please stand with Fair Share by signing this petition to support more funding for SNAP.

Every town in Bergen County has a dog park, but Hackensack does not have any designated area that our dogs can run and play safely. There are many dogs in our town and they help keep our streets safe. We think its time that Hackensack does something for these pets and their owners.

The zoning map in the village of Warwick currently has fitness centers zoned under Light industry. Fitness centers should be considered central business. Light industry is manufacturing. With the current zoning map a fitness center will not be successful as the allowed zones are on side roads and back roads. Break the cycle and allow for a fitness center in the village district on the main street.

Gang violence have ravished our cities leaving behind many innocent victims in it's wrath. The most recent killing was a young man named Eric Mabry, Jr. who was shot brazenly in broad daylight on Mission & Brazil in San Francisco, CA October 9, 2013. Although he was gang affiliated his passing brought together over 40 young men and women who have fallen victim to the street life to become saved at his funeral. His death WAS NOT in VAIN. We wish to do God's work in the deliverance of our young people who have fallen victim to theses streets and give them a sense of belonging. Please help us to save our youth from the violence with love, peace, and hope. The Safe Haven Foundation, In Loving Memory of Eric Mabry, Jr was founded not just on his untimely death, but for the safety of the public. We want more mother's, father's, uncle's, cousin's and friends to stand up for what's right and take accountability for our youth that are going astray.
