On Nov. 1, if the ongoing budget battle isn't resolved, the Department of Veterans Affairs won’t be able to send out benefits checks to nearly 5.2 million veterans and family members. Domestic Violence Agencies Not Assisting and Following Proper Protocal for myself and my children. I have had to go to every agency advocate office & recieved no assistance. We now have no clothing, bed linens, wash clothes cleaning supplies etc. Due to the nature of the Apartment. I have all things photographed and all conversations recorded as me & my mentally ill daughter and son were denied rights.

Every year kids, adults, and senior citizens alike look forward to "Swing Night" an event that not only brings entertainment and enjoyment to the fine people of Nutley NJ, but also brings about a sense of community and fellowship most towns just don't have. This project will cause a nearly 2 year traffic jam on Topanga Cyn. Blvd. and harm the businesses there both financially and biologically due to the new mega cell tower to be installed at the post office. While other countries are taking steps to reduce cell tower radiation exposure to their citizens, LA County is looking to increase it for Topangans. The WHO says this radiation causes cancer in humans, Taiwan just removed 1500 cell towers due to death and illness, India lowered their radiation emissions by 90% and moved cell towers away from communities due to outbreaks of cancer near the towers and countries across Europe are taking protective action on this issue. Why must we be placed in harms way? This project must be stopped. I noticed a lot of students wanting to join a volleyball team. When we found out there wasn't one at our school we were shocked that our sport savvy school didn't have a team. Volleyball is a fun sport that has been growing quite popular lately. Many students, including students who usually don't join school sports, have taken an interest in trying out.

I have been a resident of the DC area my entire life and have been attending the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg for the past three years. I believe we can speak for everyone who lives or will live along Interstate 95 that something must be done about the incredible amount of car traffic that has become more and more apparent along the highway in the last decade. However, widening the highway or adding an HOV lane or building the Bi-County Parkway is not a long-term solution. Traffic on I-95 is no longer a morning and evening, weekday phenomenon--it happens at all times of the day and night. And it's only getting worse. The best way to prevent this environmental disaster from worsening is to add more cheap, enjoyable train rides by VRE for commuters of all kinds, not just the 9am to 5pm office workers. The MARC Train in Maryland has been providing counter-rush hour service for years now and will begin providing weekend service starting December 7th--so should Virginia!

The Wolfe Manor is an important building in history for the city of Clovis. It is the hope of owner Todd Wolfe to restore this majestic building and bring new business and tourism to Clovis. The City of Clovis is biased in its decision to demolish this building and we want to let the council know that Clovis cares about its history.

I'm just a swim mom, frustrated with the lack of importance being placed on the quality of our pools. The Parks, Recreation and Trails Advisory Board is making a crucial decision this month regarding their recommendations to the Borough Assembly. Please share this with everyone you know who can help us be heard. These pools are utilized by lap swimmers, swim lessons, water safety classes, highschool swimmers, and competative swimmers. If we don't speak up, the resolution could be killed and nothing solved!!!!

The truck weigh station as proposed for Lucketts, Virginia is inconsistent with our desires and the impact on our traffic poses a safety hazard to our families. Although the desire to secure additional revenue is understood, the negative impact to our citizens, community and scenic Route 15 is not. We ask that you abandon this project immediately. Instead, we ask that any tax dollars available be used to implement the improvements set forth in the proposed Lucketts Safety Plan, such as sidewalks , turn lanes and crosswalks. Introducing this level of mayhem to our fragile transportation corridor while simultaneously exposing us to safety issues and added pollution is unacceptable. This is hallowed ground. The Route 15 bypass near Leesburg where inspections are already taking place would be a more appropriate location.

The Medford City Council will meet on Tuesday night, 10/1/13. The Council resolution below would add 50% more funding to the Medford Arts Council in 2014 to support community arts and cultural activities. Every year, the Medford Arts Council allocates STATE funding to events including concerts at Wright's Pond; the Community Read and school vacation performances at the Library; West Medford Open Studios; Circle the Square arts performances; CACHE and the Mystic River Celebration in October; dance and music performances for seniors and in nursing homes; field trips, afterschool and in-school enrichment programs for students; Dance in the Fells/Dance at Wrights Pond; and much more. The city has not contributed to this funding, although the events serve a varied and large community audience and engage dozens of volunteers to bring activity and foot traffic to our commercial areas and arts venues.
