Support the Sanders Plan for Puerto Rico Climate Justice and RebuildingPresident Donald Trump, Majority Leader Paul Ryan, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are failing to act to help the people of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands survive and rebuild from the devastation of the fossil-fueled Hurricane Maria. The 3.5 million American citizens of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have no representation in Congress -- they need all of us to demand action from our elected leaders. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has introduced legislation to mobilize all the resources and assets needed to restore electricity, provide clean water and food, a safe haven and access to medical care. Senators Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Ed Markey, and Richard Blumenthal are original co-sponsors. The plan includes a total waiver of the cost of matching funds to receive federal assistance, rejects privatization efforts, and promotes a new resilient, decentralized and renewable energy-based grid. Congress needs to act — every member of the House and Senate should co-sponsor and pass this critical legislation to help our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Stop using people's Gross income for determining eligibility for Snap.Recently I was denied Snap assistance for my family of 5. My husband grosses $2000.00 biweekly, but his net income is only $800.00 biweekly. When DHS saw his Gross, we were instantly laughed at, then told we were denied. How can you use an amount of money that we don't even see to determine eligibility? It needs to be considered to change to using net income!3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Mitchell

Curb the Concrete on Collins Avenue, Miami BeachThe proposed development for 5775 Collins Avenue, formerly known as the Marlborough House, will destroy two important view corridors along historic Collins Avenue. As detailed in the City of Miami Beach's planning report, the developer should rotate the building 90 degrees or increase each side set back by at least 50 percent to preserve two view corridors of light and air for the entire Miami Beach community that has existed for 54 years. It is important to note that we are not against new development, but want the very best development for the Miami Beach community, and this proposal falls short. Furthermore, this proposed development is NOT in compliance with Design Review Criteria. Specifically, guidelines 5, 6, 7, 12 and 15. Unlike the existing Marlborough House which is oriented perpendicular to Collins Avenue, the current proposal is oriented parallel to the street and broadsides the beach. For perspective, the proposal diminishes both side yards that serve as important view corridors by over half.102 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Save Collins

Stop the extreme expansion of cell towers on every street in AmericaI don’t want a cell tower installed on a street lamp outside my home or children’s school? Do you? There are two bills before Congress NOW that will make this all legal: S.19 (The Mobile Now Act) and S.1988 (The SPEED Act). Will you join me and Americans for Responsible Technology in Opposing S.19, and S.1988? The wireless industry has been "secretly" introducing legislation in the U.S. Congress designed to take away every American city's authority to control where Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile locate their cell towers. I don’t want a cell tower installed on a street lamp outside my home! The FCC is streamlining the deployment of thousands of 4G small cell towers NOW on an unprecedented scale (and paving the way for hundreds of thousands more 5G antennas in the future) and this could be happening in your neighborhood if you don’t act NOW and contact your member of Congress! These industry bills will allow powerful wireless transmitters to be installed (along with their noisy and large power equipment) to any utility pole or street lamp in any public right of way in America. Most utility poles or street lamps will become cell towers on every block leaving the public with no input OR legal recourse, and vulnerable to privacy and security risks. The public has not agreed to cell towers in their front yards! Real estate values will significantly decline near base stations and antennas. All of us, as taxpayers, will be footing the bill while the telecom companies profit HUGELY. Contrary to assurances by AT&T and Verizon, the “safety” of wireless exposure has NEVER been proven and there is growing science showing increased health risks, especially for children and pregnant women. I worry about the science showing health risks. Do you? Safety limits have not been updated since the 1990s and the FCC’s guidelines were derived from industry, and there is no monitoring or compliance testing of cell towers. A recent $25 million study by the U.S. National Toxicology Program of the National Institutes of Health found increased incidences of brain cancer, malignant tumors of the heart and DNA damage in laboratory animals from microwave wireless exposure levels the FCC considers "safe"! Please sign this petition (with your full legal name) as it will be sent to Congressional leaders in Washington D.C, urging them to oppose S.19, and S.1988 and put a stop to the massive deployment of cell towers.2,034 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Sarah Aminoff

Save Adult In-Home Support Waiver and Advantage Program in OklahomaI have been personally affected by this situation. On October 31, 2017, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services sent out letters to me and about 21,000 other families stating that due to budget failure, our in-home support waivers will be canceled effective November 30, unless the state legislature appropriates funds in the meantime. Many families are facing emergency situations of whether they can continue to work to provide for their families or quit work to care for their families and then face homelessness and dire poverty. It's a horrible, horrific situation.41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Don Alberty

Petition Having Westbridge Rd. Center StripedWestbridge Rd. is an access road that should have a center strip like Canyon Falls Drive for safety reasons.
