Here at Say No to Sterling Relief Drain Conversion, we are driven by a single goal; to make ourselves heard. We do not want to convert the Sterling Relief Drain Corridor from Dequindre to Freedom Hill into a 'drain trail' that is touted by Macomb County. We feel the trails are redundant and the 8 million should be spent for other infrastructure, specifically our roads.

Road Conditions

A family member was fondled and held against her will until she was able to get away by biting and elbowing the predator. This happened on the corner of Wilmington Avenue and Gage Avenue, which is clearly infested with unregistered and unpermitted RV's, recreational, and regular vehicles that are being used to live in. All these unpermitted vehicles are also parked feet away from an elementary school, where a person living in one of these recreational vehicles jumped the school gate and entered school grounds. Our community pool is within 600 feet of the tower, which is at the beginning of our development and where everyone gets a first impression when visiting, but more importantly when looking to purchase a home in our community. My home is very close to the tower site, which means I will see it every day when I go out the front door. I am concerned about the waves the tower puts off which can have health implications for my family. Health of my family, eyesore every day for me and my community, and decreased home values are why I am staring this petition.

It has been way too long of a wait just to be getting a new skate park due to the fact that skaters are destroying properties of others by skateboarding on them and sometimes even vandalizing people's properties and businesses. Northern Miami Beach area is in need of new skate parks. There are many skateboarders in Miami going long distances just to have a place to use their skateboards without being harassed by property owners. So skateboarders deserve and need new skate parks to skate in peace and focus on themselves.

We believe the purchase of the land should benefit all residents of Albany County and provide as many economic opportunities as possible to sustainably manage the land. In order to prevent harmful and unhealthy water contamination in one's community, we want funding to increase water safety testing on a regular basis and to update our water infrastructure nationwide; such as the case in Flint, MI.

We are starting this petition because we grew up in the Mattapan area and growing up, we always felt that it has been left in the back seat - especially in comparison to other Boston neighborhoods. We believe that opening up a Wing Stop in the area would greatly enhance its economic and aesthetic value. After all, there's heavy foot traffic, affordable public transportation, and new development in the area!
