School Zone SignsI believe that you are in agreement and will stand with me in ensuring that with a safer designed school zone our Providence of Englewood scholars as well as surrounding residents will be able to safely cross this intersection by the proper placement of digital 15 mph signs. In the 2016-2017 school year several pedestrians have had instances where they came very close to being struck by speeding vehicles; including myself. These Radar signs will visually alert drivers of current speed of their vehicle and to not exceed a speed limit of 15 mph during school hours. I hope you agree that our children deserve the right to safely cross the street just as at other school zones. Let us move forward in addressing this traffic control issue together for a safer school zone for our children.50 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Toi Gray

Boycott NJT May Ticket PurchaseAs a commuter, getting to and from work and home in a timely matter, without delays or re-routing is our RIGHT, not our privilidge. The amount we pay NJT every month, just to de delayed, or worse, re-routed or stalled for hours, is completely unacceptable partnered with the kind of service we're getting. We're asking for NJT to waive the cost of the monthly train pass for May for all NYC bound commuters. If they do not concede, we're asking each of you to stand up for your rights. To boycott the system. To say, WE'VE HAD ENOUGH. To REFUSE to pay for a monthly pass for May and demand we ride for free during the month of May. It's the least they can do for us, taking into consideration the hours of ours lives lost and wasted on delays or re-routing. Terrible service effects our work hours and even worse, our family life and time spent with our families. Stand up for your rights. Either NJT gives every commuter a free May pass, or YOU REFUSE TO PAY FOR ONE. Stay strong. Stand up for what you believe in. Come May 1st, if we don't hear from NJT officials about a free month, refuse to buy a ticket and board your train as usual. We outnumber them. We need to take control back.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Romaric Maser

Save AMTRAK's Long-Distance Train ServiceMy family and I have travelled coast to coast and beyond via Amtrak's long distance train service: from Charleston, SC to Portland, Oregon; from Charleston, SC to Montreal Canada; etc. Our home station in Charleston, SC is on the list of stations we'll lose if Trump's budget passes. My 7-year-old son, Jack, is particularly devastated. On our travels, we've made many friends — often people from other countries to whom train travel appeals when they're vacationing here. In short, eliminating our long-distance rail service would be a loss not only to American citizens, but also to international tourists and the tourism industry.3,014 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Nicole Plyler Fisk

Threat for HUD budget cutsBen Carson is appointment to fix low-income housing challenges by cutting the HUD budget by $6 billion. I work at a halfway house with hardworking Moms who struggle with addiction and mental health. If the HUD cuts go into effect, these women will struggle to find affordable transitional housing. If they have no housing, they and their children are likely to go back on the streets or live in unsafe situations. Let's work together to give those struggling with addiction and mental a chance to have a safe and sober life.60 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mara Irwin

Put a Guardrail at Road 426 and China CreekOn January 7, 2017, there was a horrific accident that took the life of Shania Costella. Shania’s vehicle hydroplaned on Road 426 and China Creek, and her vehicle rolled over the edge and into the creek. Her loss was felt across the mountain community, her high school, friends, and family. Shania’s sister Sahvannah survived the tragic accident, and together with Caleb Morgan, one of Shania’s friends, they have decided to start this petition to prevent any further accidents on this dangerous stretch of road. This curve is unsuspectingly sharp, and there have been numerous other accidents at this spot. We are urging you sign this petition to put up a guardrail at this location. This guard rail has the potential to save lives and prevent families from enduring the heartache that has been felt from Shania’s loss. Please take a moment to sign this, and make a difference in our community.357 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Caleb Morgan

Spencer SkatePark additionsThe Spencer skatepark has been our hometown skatepark for years now, and the park does not have much for us to skate. We are simply asking for town officials to use the money we raised using our "Gofundme" to add other ramps, ledges, and rails. Thank you to anyone who signs! Sincerely , The skaters of Spencer106 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Aidan Wooldridge

Save Bridgeport and Stratford's Unprotected Open SpaceWe are extremely concerned about proposals to build office buildings and a hotel on this property. Remington Woods should be off-limits for development and instead should be preserved as a park or open space for the people of Stratford, Bridgeport and surrounding towns. There are plenty of true brown fields in the area that should be cleaned up and used for office space and hotels instead, not a precious and rare urban open space such as this one. It would be as if the leaders of New York City proposed developing Central Park as a way to generate "taxes and jobs". Not a good idea in either location.58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter McKnight

DOT: Make This Intersection SafeWe are students at Marvin Ridge Middle School. We will be driving soon and this intersection is one that we will use to get to school. It is a very dangerous intersection and we don't want to have to risk our lives every day or see any more accidents happen. Two other traffic circles are going to be installed on this same road within the next 6 months. This intersection is the most dangerous one on the street but DOT doesn't have it on the schedule with the other two traffic circles. This intersection needs to be made safer immediately before someone loses their life.1,269 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Gina Lorenzo

Sewerage and Water Board of New OrleansThe citizens of New Orleans declare a vote of no confidence in the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO). Our bills have risen steadily and unreasonably, and our infrastructure and streets have eroded into stagnant pools of disrepair. Meanwhile, the Sewerage and Water Board's customer service is non-existent -- the website is either down or overloaded, contact by phone is virtually impossible, and our issues of record are permanently "under investigation," an empty and meaningless term used by the SWBNO in an attempt to placate customers. Business, as usual, must cease immediately. The citizens of New Orleans demand change!2,031 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Hilary M. Suthon
