  • Charge Donald Trump with Sexual harassment
I am appalled to see that Donald Trump has remained immune to allegations of sexual harassment. Doesn't he belong to the gang of Weinstein, Moore, Spacey, and the rest of those deviants?

  • U.S. Congress: Close loophole that allows sexual assault/harassment settlement payments to be ded...
I am a survivor of sexual abuse on several levels. Though I have not personally received any settlement payments, the fact that an employer of a perpetrator could benefit from such payments through a tax deductible loophole in our current tax law, is an abomination. As a taxpayer, this adds insult to injury. Please sign my petition to tell our U.S. House Representatives and Senators to eliminate this loophole.

  • I believe Leigh Corfman
Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said it best: "Innocent until proven guilty is for criminal convictions, not elections. I believe Leigh Corfman. Her account is too serious to ignore. Moore is unfit for office and should step aside."

  • Keep Firearms Out Of the Hands Of Domestic Violence Perpetrators
Access to firearms is the single most common predictor of a woman being murdered by a current or former partner, regardless of employment status, education level or relationship status. It's increasingly evident is the flaw in our nation's background check system. When records prohibiting domestic abusers from gun possession are excluded, dangerous individuals, like the shooter in Sutherland Springs, Texas, are able to pass a background check, obtain guns, and do harm to our communities. Our laws must keep deadly weapons out of domestic abusers' hands. As advocates for victims of domestic violence, the National Domestic Violence Hotline knows far too intimately how dangerous firearms are at the hands of an abusive partner – whether the abuse is physical, emotional, verbal, digital and/or financial. We can all agree that such dangerous individuals should not be permitted access to firearms, and prevention of future tragedies cannot be accomplished without demanding that our elected leaders take action. Congress must ensure law enforcement officers have access to the information they need to identify dangerous individuals. And we demand that current federal gun laws are expanded so that the prohibited purchaser category includes current and former dating partners because the threat of harm is just as dangerous coming from a dating partner as it is coming from a married one.

  • Roy Moore: DROP OUT
Roy Moore--the extremist Alabama Republican candidate for U.S. Senate--sexually assaulted a 14 year old girl while in his 30s, according to a Washington Post investigation. A fifth woman just came forward saying Moore attacked her when she was a teenager. Beverly Young Nelson showed reporters her old high school yearbook an adult Roy Moore appears to have signed in 1977. A message signed from "Roy Moore, DA" is signed with "love" and refers to Nelson as "beautiful." This predator has no place in the U.S. Senate and the momentum to stop him is on our side. Already, multiple senators, including Mitch McConnell, have said Moore should step down. If we speak out right away, we can pressure a dangerous child predator to drop out of a high-profile Senate race.

  • Stop Common Cause from Honoring a Serial Harasser
It was never OK to honor Arnold, aka the Gropenator, but in this #metoo moment, it is especially wrong. By honoring Arnold Common Cause is enabling harassers and silencing victims. Common Cause should instead help shed light on the widespread problem of sexual harassment.

  • Tell Rick Perry: You Must Resign For Your Twisted Remarks
Energy Secretary Rick Perry has made heinous comments suggesting that expanding fossil fuel development will decrease incidents of sexual assault. Not only is this blatantly untrue, it is an inexcusable attempt to minimize a serious and pervasive issue. Women, and particularly women of color, are among some of the most severely impacted by the climate crisis, and it is these same communities that are most at risk of sexual assault. Rick Perry's attempt to exploit this struggle to justify further dangerous fossil fuel development is unacceptable. He does not deserve to hold office another day with these twisted ideas. Rick Perry was already unfit to lead the Department of Energy. But now, before he causes any more damage, he must resign.

  • Sec. Rick Perry: Don't exploit sexual assault survivors for your coal agenda.
Trump’s Energy Secretary Rick Perry recently claimed that fossil fuels could help lower sexual assault incidents. Perry works for a sexual predator. If Perry cares about sexual assault survivors he should quit — not use them to peddle coal.

  • REMOVE SENATOR JEFF KRUSE
Senator Kruse's offensive behavior is an embarrassment to our district and the county he comes from. He has numerous examples going back decades of misogynistic or unacceptable behavior and comments toward and about women. His remark to me in a town hall, shouting "DO YOU KNOW HOW EASY IT IS FOR A WOMAN TO ACCUSE A MAN AND GET A RESTRAINING ORDER???" does not show that he is ready to work with and among women in 2017, especially with regard to policy that keeps them safe from harm. His remark to me, in his offices that "YOU CAN'T STOP BAD PEOPLE FROM DOING BAD THINGS" shows a lack of understanding or concern for stopping bad behavior. Don't police, counselors, teachers, judges, and parents all stop bad people? Of course they do. But Jeff Kruse does not allow for that, and, living in this irresponsible moral fringe where good is what you can get away with and bad is getting caught is unacceptable to us from any public official Especially a state Senator.

  • Hands Off Our Healthcare Access
Now more than ever we need your help here in South Bend! We Congresswoman Jackie Walorski has launched a vicious attack on our reproductive rights by personally contacting the Indiana State Health Commissioner and requested that she deny South Bend a new health clinic. 70% of Americans believe women should have access to safe and legal abortions. With increasing medically-unnecessary regulations that impose an undue burden on a woman’s access to abortion, Indiana patients are forced to travel across state lines for the nearest clinic, turning them into medical refugees. Use of contraception, especially the most effective methods like IUDs and implants, does much more to reduce abortion rates than restrictive laws and denial of care. Recently, a non-profit organization that is committed to providing holistic reproductive health options, to include abortion care, as well as leading communities in advocacy, culture change, and education to eradicate abortion stigma has stepped forward in our community and they are ready to open a clinic in South Bend, Indiana. "We the undersigned support the legal and safe access to all forms of Reproductive Healthcare in South Bend, Indiana and ask Rep. Walorski to respect our bodies, our rights, and our choices. We believe women should become medical refugees by being forced to travel across state lines for reproductive health care." #ProtectOurCare
