• Demand a thorough FBI investigation the Kavanaugh allegations before there is a hearing .
Enough is enough. This country is in deep trouble given the behavior of this Congress, which borders on being traitorous. Follow the rules. Follow procedure. Conduct a real confirmation hearing, not fake, self-serving political farce.

  • Stop sexual predator Brett Kavanaugh
On September 16, Christine Blasey Ford came forward publicly about her experience of being sexually assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh, Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. Thanks to her bravery, we now know that Kavanaugh, in addition to being a political danger to women, is a sexual predator. Ford’s story is horrifying. During a party in high school, she described how Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed, tried to pull off her clothing, and covered her mouth as she tried to scream. Kavanaugh's nomination was already on the rocks before Ford came forward with her story. But now, the outcry over Ford's allegations is putting pressure on every senator to come out against Kavanaugh. In just 24 hours following the release of Ford's story, Republican Senators Jeff Flake and Bob Corker have joined Democrats in calling for Kavanaugh's nomination to be delayed and a hearing is planned for Monday. We believe survivors and we believe Christine Blasey Ford. We have all the information we need to know Kavanaugh should not be a Supreme Court Justice. If every Democrat and just a few Republicans come out against Kavanaugh's nomination, we have a real chance to stop this man from a lifetime nomination to the Supreme Court. Send the Senate a clear message: Brett Kavanaugh has no place on the Supreme Court of the United States.

  • Support Dr. Christine Blasey Ford
Troubling content in Kavanaugh's high school yearbook further reflects out-of-control drinking, partying, and disrespect of women. Julie Swetnick says she was drugged and raped at a party where Brett Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge were present. Other times, she witnessed the two engaging in harassing and threatening behavior toward young women. Deborah Ramirez also says Kavanaugh exposed himself to her in college and made forced sexual contact. I am personally haunted by the way Anita Hill was treated and my lack of action to support her. We stand in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez, and Julie Swetnick. Their allegations deserve a respectful audience and response from the Senate. We believe them.

  • NHDP Disinvite Alec Baldwin from the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner
This petition is expressing disgust with the NHDP's choice to headline the first annual Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner, Alec Baldwin. We feel this choice of speaker is a blatant slap in the face to the MeToo Movement and respect for women.

  • Tell Senator Collins to defend women's rights and vote NO on Kavanaugh!
I am a woman's advocate and have lived through a time when women's rights were in the hands of men when women had to beg permission to protect their own bodies. Roe is part of a proud legacy fought for and won by hundreds of brave resilient women. How can we relegate it to the whims and ideology of one man? There are currently at least 13 abortion cases which could make their way to the Supreme Court should Kavanaugh be confirmed, and it's no secret that anti-abortion activists hand picked him to carry out their agenda. How can we relegate it to the whims and ideology of one man? Senator Collins must listen to the people of Maine as a key vote in rejecting Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.

  • Clear Falls High School Dress code
Girls at high school are being dress coded and forced to change into longer pants because of Nike shorts, an athletic attire that most girls wear all of the time for comfort and because there are people in sports who require the proper clothing, i.e. Nike shorts. These shorts are not distracting to the other students in class, and the administration is inherently reprimanding girls by banning these shorts. They are wasting more time looking at our shorts when they could be using their time offering valuable education, as opposed to taking time to send girls to the front office and making them change clothing. High schoolers are tired every morning, statistically, teenagers need more sleep than any other age group. With this said, along with the rigorous AP classes and work every student is getting, people are tired. They wear Nike shorts for comfort. Nike shorts are not provocative in any sense, unless the administration is putting that incentive on girls.

  • BMX Girls Are Experts, Too!
My 6-year-old daughter asked me why girls aren't called "experts" in BMX. Not allowing girls to be classified as "experts" is an outdated gender-based stereotype that impacts the development of our kids. The girls in BMX should be granted the same honor that boys are granted after they work their way to the ultimate proficiency in amateur BMX racing.

  • Don't let the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade
The stakes are high for women's reproductive justice issues. Many states, including Mississippi where I live, already have restrictive laws on how women can control their own bodies. Healthcare facilities are under attack, too. A new conservative justice will all but ensure a government attack on women's bodies. I grew up as a fundamentalist evangelical where pastors preached about controlling women's bodies through restrictions on abortions. A major turning point in my life came when a Catholic hospital refused to treat me while I was in the middle of a miscarriage because they considered it an abortion. They sent me home where within hours I almost bled to death. It was awful, and I am lucky to be alive today. If we're not willing to be relentless in fighting Trump, Pence, and McConnell in every peaceful way possible they will get what they want. They have already proven that by throwing out their so-called family values while looking the other way as Trump uses language unfit for even a high school class president. The Trump-Pence nightmare has already used the courts to hurt workers, families fleeing violence, the LGBTQ community, Muslims, and people of color so we have every reason to believe they will expand the assault to women as well. It's a core part of their identity. It's the regressive vision they have for America. Sign the petition telling the White House and Senate that they must hold the Supreme Court seat open until after the 2018 midterm winners are sworn in, and only then should they work together to find a fair justice who will protect the rights of all people in our nation including those who are protected by Roe. v. Wade.

  • Boycott Walgreens because of pharmacist refuses to fill prescription on religious belief
I disagree with Walgreens policy of pharmacist not providing services because of religious beliefs and then not following Walgreens policy of: "You have a right to step away, but you don’t have a right to step between" I disagree with Walgreens policy, which is active in 6 states. Walgreens needs come out of the dark ages and respect a woman's right to control their own bodies. And not have male pharmacist deny them services I am asking for support by boycotting all Walgreens till they change their policy and/or fire/or discipline this employee
