Planned Parenthood is a lifeline for millions of women, providing cancer screenings, contraception, and basic preventive health care to women across the country. I see the Republican leaders threat to shut down the federal government as an attack on the basic rights of women and their access to medical treatment. Please do not take away American women's rights!

Republican leaders are threatening to shut down the entire federal government for the second time in three years unless Congress cuts funding for Planned Parenthood. We cannot let them get away with it! Since entering office in 2011, Kasich has signed every anti-abortion measure that has landed on his desk, enacting a total of 16 restrictions that limit abortion access and family planning opportunities, and resulting in the closure of half the state's abortion clinics. With a bill pending that would ban physicians from performing abortions on women who want to terminate their pregnancy because of a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome, the state is now wanting to regulate what reasons are "good enough" to terminate a pregnancy.

Planned Parenthood provides breast cancer screenings, Pap smears, contraception, and other preventive health care to women across our state. Funding of women's health care is so essential.

Stop the war on women!

As a woman who has used Planned Parenthood's services in the past, I know that it is a vital part of women's health care. The push to cut funds to Planned Parenthood is a partisan attack on American women and their right to safe, low-cost and effective health care, including but not limited to contraception, regular check-ups and pregnancy care. Please stand up for your constituents and help us fight this attack.

My granddaughter has a disability and thus has a limited income. She and others like her depend on these services to maintain their health.

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin serves over 70,000 patients annually. They provide breast exams, cervical cancer screenings, STD tests, contraception and family counseling to those who would ordinarily not have these services. Please tell your elected officials to STOP the defunding of an organization that CARES about human rights and equality.

Planned Parenthood helps women, men, and young people from all walks of life with health screenings, mammograms, and birth control. It's an important safety net in our society. It's ridiculous that, in 2015, we're still upset about giving poor women and men access to health information! It is insane that some members of the government would think that insurrection, in the form of shutting down our government, is a reasonable course of action.

Our communities need women's health care resources. Planned Patenthood must continue their good works.

The threat of defunding Planed Parenthood is outright discrimination of women based on false and supposed religious beliefs about the services PP provides.

Planned Parenthood was there when I needed contraception and routine health care services at a very low cost, and it still provides the full range of preventive health care services at no or very low cost to those who want and need them. Please help protect this important organization that has proven its value over and over.
