Bloomington is an open and accepting community. Rush Limbaugh has a long history of spreading lies and intolerance in the guise of news commentary. His recent attacks on Sandra Fluke went beyond decent public discourse. We are calling on WGCL to stand up for civility and public decency, and to dump Rush Limbaugh's show.

This time Limbaugh has gone too far, and it has sparked a nationwide backlash. At least 140 major advertisers have pulled their ads from the Limbaugh show, and some stations have canceled the show altogether. It's time for Rush to go.

Please help in the effort to remove Rush Limbaugh from WVNA radio. I ask that he be removed because of his attack on the young lady and the words he used in describing a woman. As a woman living in a free America we are given the right to choose when is a good time to conceive. Also birth control is used for medical issues such as endometriosis. Regardless of your political affiliation, think about how you would feel if your daughter, sister or mother had been called that by an entertainer- how would that make you feel? I think that Rush went too far, and that he should face the fact that the American people want civil discourse.
