• Boycott NFL & Sponsors if Kaepernick is not signed
As a national organization of Black Law Enforcement Professionals, we have always supported Colin Kaepernick stance on bringing awareness to social justice issues of Black people. USA TODAY: “What does it say about the NFL, and about us, when at least a half-dozen men who have been accused of physical or sexual assault have been welcomed into the NFL over the past week, while Colin Kaepernick still has not? While some NFL teams were busy drafting names from the police blotter last weekend, Kaepernick was standing outside a New York City parole office, handing out two boxes of his own custom-made suits to men who needed them for upcoming job interviews. He has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to charity. In March, it was reported by several news media outlets, including USA TODAY Sports, that Kaepernick will not protest the national anthem this coming season. And yet he’s still a free agent, so far unwanted by all 32 NFL teams.“ The NFL is also broadcasting a message to Black people throughout the world that Black issues do not matter. It is uncommon that our children see athletes standing up for issues in their communities, especially for the many black men that have been unjustly killed by Law Enforcement. As conscious people, we must send the same message to the NFL and their Sponsors that our dollars matter by boycotting the NFL and their products for basically punishing Kaepernick for his position on social justice issues. • Tell Congress: We must know the truth about Trump
Former FBI Director James Comey has publicly come forward saying that Donald Trump asked him to stop an investigation into Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn's connections to Russia. If the reports are true, this is clear obstruction of justice—and the integrity of democratic institutions is at risk. Now, even some Republicans in Congress have begun to say these revelations might warrant impeachment. As the news continues to show more and more improper—and possibly illegal—conduct from Donald Trump's White House, it's more important than ever for us to raise our voices and demand action.

  • Demand the full transcripts of Trump's Russia meeting
Among the revelations in Monday evening's bombshell Washington Post report on President Donald Trump disclosing classified information to Russian diplomats is the fact that one U.S. counterterrorism official "called for the problematic portion of Trump's discussion to be stricken from internal memos and for the full transcript to be limited to a small circle of recipients, efforts to prevent sensitive details from being disseminated further or leaked." Now, amid outrage, calls are growing for that transcript to be released—if not to the public at-large, than at least "to Congress for investigative purposes," as National Memo editor-in-chief Joe Conason wrote Tuesday. "[T]he House and Senate intelligence committees should request—or if necessary, subpoena—the transcripts of Trump's meeting with the Russians, to see who is telling the truth," Conason insisted. "To paraphrase Trump, that may be the only way to 'find out what the hell is going on'." In turn, he continued, it may be the only way to see if there are grounds for impeachment. (Notably, U.S. press was not allowed into the meeting between Trump and the Russian officials.) https://www.commondreams.org/news/2017/05/16/whats-transcript-theres-way-find-out-what-trump-told-russia

  • US President Donald Trump Must Resign
President Trump must leave the presidency. Impeachment takes too long. Save us the hassle. This petition is not about corruption or ideology. It is about competence, mental health (of President Trump and everyone else) and job suitability. Vice President Pence is no panacea. He follows a rigid right-wing ideology that does not reflect the views of the 99%. However, he may be more suited for the job. We'll see.

  • @Theresa_May: Act Now at @UKUN_NewYork to Save Yemen from Famine
The United Nations Security Council, which under the UN Charter is responsible for protecting international peace and security, has failed to stop the Saudi-UAE war and blockade on Yemen which has pushed Yemen to the brink of famine. A key reason is that the UK, which under UK Prime Minister Theresa May is closely aligned with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, is the Security Council "penholder" on Yemen, which means that any UN Security Council resolution on Yemen has to be drafted by the UK. Theresa May's government has used this power to shield Saudi Arabia and the UAE from diplomatic pressure at the UN for their catastrophic actions in Yemen. [1] U.N. officials have said that the threatened Saudi-UAE attack on the crucial Yemeni port of Hodeida would almost certainly push Yemen into famine by cutting off food and medicine imports into northern Yemen. But David Beasley, head of the World Food Program, says diplomatic efforts to protect Hodeida have failed. "I was hopeful two weeks ago that was about to resolve, but evidently that hasn’t happened," Beasley said. [2] Theresa May alone currently wields the power to initiate a Security Council resolution to save Yemen from famine by protecting Hodeida. Urge Theresa May to save Yemen from famine by signing our petition. • Limit presidential war powers
I am concerned that the American public will be easily deceived by a "wag the dog" military engagement and I am concerned that such a conflict could escalate and cause greater unrest or violence in the world, directly affecting those involved of course, but indirectly affecting the rest of us economically and the US's standing and goodwill.

  • Local Petition: Free Acess to Hunting Island State Park for all Beaufort County Residents
We the undersigned, request free access for all Beaufort County residents to Hunting Island State Park. Our counterparts in Hilton Head Island enjoy free Forest Beach, so why can't we enjoy ours for the same! Many residents of Beaufort County can not access Hilton Head, simply because the cost of gas is too much! Furthermore, many residents of Beaufort County can not afford a $75.00 a year for a beach pass, plus it is 22 miles to get to Hunting Island from Beaufort and Lady's Island with added fuel costs! In addition, Beaufort, Hilton Head, Fripp, and Dawtaw Islands generate millions of dollars in tourism to offset our simple request. People from out of state and foreign countries spend their money here and more than offset the costs of Hunting Island's maintenance. We the people of Beaufort County enjoy camping too! But it comes at a premium and we would like to see substantial discounts for anyone camping who possesses a state drivers license or state ID bearing the words Beaufort County!

  • Ask the Presidents Emeriti to speak out as a group
I'm deeply worried about the egregious personal issues Mr. Trump exhibits as President - his lying, his lack of self-control, his narcissism, and more. I'm also (quite literally) scared of what could happen as the result of many of his Administration's initiatives and policies. I hope all five living former Presidents will speak out as a bipartisan group and express their views on what they see happening in the White House every day.

  • Defend the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument!
In January 2017, President Obama added 48,000 acres in Oregon and California to the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. Two separate lawsuits were filed opposing the expansion of the monument in February 2017, both citing impact on the timber industry. The Western Environmental Law Center intervened in both lawsuits to defend the expansion.
