JUSTICE FOR DOCEdward Ruiz has been held without bail or conviction in the Mohave County detention center in Kingman Arizona since May 4, 2017. Edward is in a great deal of pain and suffering from a spinal cord injury. He has been denied the right to be evaluated and or treated by a licensed physician. On May 7th he lost the use of his right leg. It is cruel and unusual punishment to be treated in such a way. Please sign this petition and stop the inhumane treatment to prisoners in Arizona.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by jeannie

ICE Arrested Wilmer Without a Warrant, Broke His Arm, and then Put Him in Solitary Confinement. S...On May Day, Wilmer's family announced a lawsuit against Trump's deportation agency, ICE, and the Chicago police department for violating his civil rights. In retaliation, we got notice that Wilmer has been placed in isolation as punishment "for placing a towel over his head to block off the light." On Monday, March 27th, ICE agents targeted Wilmer based on Chicago police mysteriously and unknowingly adding him to a "gang database." They threw him to the ground, breaking his arm, and adding to injuries that he had suffered earlier this year, leaving him half paralyzed, when he was a bystander in a drive-by shooting. When ICE officials arrived at Wilmer's home they did not identify themselves as ICE, instead calling themselves detectives and pretending to be looking for a suspect named "Rubio." Wilmer's wife, Celene, asked the agents to leave as her husband was not in any position to see them. As soon as she began to open the door, agents pushed her and made their way into the home and which point they proceeded to apprehend Wilmer. Wilmer migrated from Guatemala to the United States in 2006 and was deported that same year as result of an ICE raid that took place in his workplace in 2006. Shortly after being deported, Wilmer returned to the United States and has since been living here. Wilmer is a part of a loving family; his two children are both US citizens and he is the main provider for his household. Please sign on to support Wilmer. He is being punished for standing up for his rights and ICE is attempting to place him in expedited proceedings because of his 2006 deportation. We will not stop until ICE is dismantled and families cease to be detained and torn apart by divisive and dehumanizing policies.328 of 400 SignaturesCreated by #Not1More

Concerned Citizens of Landenberg: No Cell Towers Near the White Clay Creek Preserve! An application has been received for conditional use approval by the New Garden Township Board of Supervisors to construct a 130 foot communications tower on the property owned by Anthony J. Santoro and Renee L. Santoro located at 1511 Yeatman's Station Road, Landenberg PA. The property is located within the R-1 Residential Low Density Zoning District. Concerned citizens of Landenberg oppose the placement of this industrial tower due to its proximity to the White Clay Creek Preserve, home to over 90 species of birds and habitat to over 100 varieties of migratory birds, including American Bald Eagles, birds of conservation concern, rare plants, including three endangered, one threatened, and two rare plant species that grow in the surrounding area. White Clay Creek possesses outstanding scenic, wildlife, recreational, and cultural value, it has been designated by Congress as a National Wild and Scenic River, we would like to see that it is preserved for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations to come. We feel that the current proposed area would negatively impact the preserve creating an adverse visual impact for park users, and significantly impacting neighboring residential communities by markedly reducing property values, creating millions of dollars of devaluation in home prices directly effecting individuals in our Landenberg neighborhoods. In addition, it would ruin views both from the park and from many homes in the area that look only on nature, homes, and farms. Many residents purchased their homes for the visual beauty which the view of the park provides, not an industrial cell tower. Stealth means of camouflage would create an eyesore as the tower would be some thirty feet above the natural tree line and could be seen for miles around. Cell towers negatively impact the health of birds and wildlife not only living in the proposed area but also those that migrate through the area. When there are other commercial and municipals lands available, many with higher elevations, we ask our Board of Supervisors to vote NO to placing a communications tower in its proposed location, in the some of the most beautiful, scenic, unique, lands in New Garden and London Britain Townships and within Southern Chester County as a whole. We strongly support the use of alternative locations and alternative technologies that would better serve the needs of all members of our community to provide safe mobile phone coverage without adverse environmental and economic impacts to our citizens.208 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Concerned Citizens of Landenherg

Trump? Not in Minnesota! Our state is a better place to live than the world Donald Trump fears and hates so much. As president his job is to stand up for the rights of all our people -- those who protest his actions, the immigrants who enrich our state's culture and whose work is often the forgotten backbone of our communities, the women of Minnesota, who deserve the same rights, pay, and privileges as Minnesota's men, the LGBTQ communities throughout our state, and people of all races, genders, colors and religions in Minnesota! We do not discriminate! We reject hate! We know all people deserve protection by our police -- not harassment. We believe Minnesotan's come in all colors and cultures, and worship in churches, synagogues and religious temples throughout our state. And, we believe what bathroom you use does not make you dangerous or different!10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rosalie Sundin

ICE is Detaining A Georgia Civil Rights Leader. Sign to Release Him!On April 17th the Houston County Sheriff pulled over a long-time civil rights leader in Georgia, Eleazar Muñoz Hernandez, supposedly for running a red light. He arrested Eleazar for driving without a license and transferred him to Trump's deportation agents who now have him detained in Stewart detention center. Eleazar has been living in the United States since 2002. He has been living with his wife and son in Warner Robbins for the last 12 years. Since 2010, he has been a leader in the Warner Robbins comité popular, educating neighbors about their rights and mobilizing for immigrant rights events. We are asking Secretary Kelly for his immediate release so that he can be reunited with his wife and son and return to his volunteer work as a leader in his community. Eleazar should not be punished for not having a driver's license that the State of Georgia will not give him; he needs to work in order to provide for his family and driving is very necessary in Georgia, especially in rural parts. Driving while undocumented should not be criminalized. Please sign this petition so that Eleazar can be released and reunited with his 16-year-old son and wife.361 of 400 SignaturesCreated by #Not1More

Repeal and Replace the Republicans who voted against HealthcareThe elected Republican U.S. Representatives that voted for this loss of healthcare to so many Americans need to know that they will be voted out of office. People in every state and every district will lose their health insurance because of the repeal of the ACA. The elected Reps who voted "yes" to repeal and replace Obamacare will find out just how many when THEY are repealed and replaced.79 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andrea Tolzmann

@MartinHeinrich: Stop Saudi Arabia from Pushing Yemen into FamineYemen is on the brink of famine, with millions of people at risk of starvation, because of Saudi Arabia's war and blockade that has been backed by the United States. Now the Trump Administration wants to send Saudi Arabia even more weapons, which would be perceived as a U.S. seal of approval on the continuation of Saudi Arabia's catastrophic war. [1] Senators Murphy, Paul, Durbin, and Franken have introduced SJRes40 [2], co-sponsored by Sens. Tammy Baldwin and Jeff Merkley [3], which would restrict arms deals with Saudi Arabia on human rights grounds. Last year, Senator Heinrich co-sponsored a similar bill with Senator Murphy, [4] and voted with Senator Murphy and Senator Durbin against sending more weapons to Saudi Arabia. [5] Urge Senator Heinrich to co-sponsor SJRes40 by signing our petition. Tell DC Parks & Rec: Girls are Good at Sports TooDPR rules state that a team must be made up of 7 men and 3 women, with no flexibility to increase the number of female players allowed in play at a time. My team was in a situation where we had six men and 4 women present and ready to play and the umpire made us bench a woman and ask a man watching in the stands to play in her place. I do not fault the umpire in this situation, as he was enforcing the set rules of this league, but I do fault the league for imposing discriminatory practices against female players. In co-ed sports teams, many times you have to have minimum ratios in place to ensure a fair game. The minimum ratios, however, are usually in place to ensure female players equal opportunity to participate. By imposing mandatory maximums for both male and female players--and one that is so un-even with women making up just 30% of a team--DPR is creating a culture of inequality and discrimination against women. In a response to my request to switch from a maximum number of female players to a minimum gender ratio rule, DPR doubled down saying that this discriminatory rule was necessary for a "competitive" league. Is DPR implying that women cannot be competitive in co-ed sports? Tell them girls are good at sports too.235 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Hailey Snow
