In fact, he’s unable to obtain a security clearance. · At the Inauguration Ball, Gorka wore the medal of a defunct, far-right, Nazi-aligned political party from Hungary. · On March 16, The Forward reported that Gorka is a "sworn member" of what the U.S. State Department calls a Nazi-aligned group, known as the Vitézi Rend. · On April 3, The Forward obtained video of Gorka in 2007 voicing his support for the far-right anti-semitic militia Magyar Gárda (Hungarian Guard), calling the group (which would later be shut down for promoting racial violence) a "societal need". The American Jewish community — and all Americans — need to know the truth: Demand that the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee investigate Sebastian Gorka and his close ties to antisemitic, racist groups.

The devastating civil war in Syria, now in its seventh year, has claimed at lesat 400,000 casualties, and displaced more than 6 million people, creating a humanitarian crisis of historic proportions. Following the ruthless chemical attacks carried about by Bashir Assad's forces that killed over 80 Syrian civilians, Trump declared, "No child of God should ever suffer such horror." Yet, rather than help the Syrian people who are trapped between Assad and Isis, the Trump administration has attempted to slam the doors entirely on Syrian refugees and gut funding for international aid and diplomacy. It's time for Trump and his fellow Republicans to actually take actions to reduce this suffering. The U.S. government must match the generous and humanitarian impulses of the American people and live up to our international responsibilities to support the people of Syria—by expediting the acceptance and resettlement of 100,000 Syrian refugees.

President Trump has attacked Syria without Congressional authorization, violating the U.S. Constitution. Congress must assert its war powers, invoking the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution. Congress must insist that no further attacks take place without Congressional authorization and that U.S. forces be withdrawn from unauthorized conflict. Congress must invoke the War Powers Resolution to debate and vote on a privileged resolution for the withdrawal of U.S. forces if President Trump refuses to remove U.S. forces from the conflict. These digihack$ were praised in media... from Forbes to Businessweek.... lauded for winning the election. They were praised in Texas newspapers for creating jobs, when in fact they were being paid handily to corrupt American minds with a Russian-military style manipulation of truth and disinformation campaign. In multiple billionaire-owned media reports, "Project Alamo" digi-groupie$ specifically explained the strategy: both named and unnamed sources said they "microtargeted" ethnic Americans, women and millennial voters with "dark" Facebook "spammy" ads that only the microtargeted users could see. In these same reports, Facebook indicated it won't release these ad$. One is described as a "South Park"-style cartoon microtargeted to African American Facebook users in Florida of Hillary Rodham Clinton, mi$branding her as a racist on a quote from 20 years ago (just a year after the #GOPModerne cottage-indu$try of ba$hing Senator/Secretary of State Clinton was born by a Nixon speechwriter in the New York Times). If ad$ such as those created by the marketeer$ of "Project Alamo" are merely garden variety political mudslinging, then why not release them? Let's force these clandestine operators out of their bunker$ and into the interrogation light, because it's time for citizens to see how their minds were twisted away from the truth by a gaslighting regime that only knows one racket: money. More bombs won't end the crisis in Syria. After more than six years of war in Syria, with millions displaced and a death toll of nearly half a million people, it’s clear that there is no military solution to this crisis. But for years the U.S. has bombed Syria, and on April 6, the U.S. expanded the war by bombing a Syrian government airbase. This week's abhorrent chemical weapons attack was an act of unspeakable violence against civilians, and we are heartbroken over the deaths of Syrians, including many children. The Trump administration’s escalation is not the solution, and will only cause more killing and suffering for Syrian civilians.

Donald Trump just ordered dozens of Tomahawk missiles to strike Syria. It's an illegal and unauthorized escalation that could have devastating consequences: killing innocent Syrians and costing the lives of U.S. service members. But the solution is not to entangle the U.S. in yet another war in the Middle East, possibly even drawing in Russia and Iran, which have been close partners of the Assad regime. The U.S. cannot bomb its way to peace, but it does have an essential role to play in the world, including 1) welcoming increased numbers of refugees fleeing Syria, 2) fully supporting international relief efforts for those most affected by this brutal civil war, 3) engaging in multilateral diplomacy at the United Nations to isolate Syria, and 4) sanctioning Russia and other nations which enable the Assad regime. All the while, Exxon kept drilling and selling the product that they knew was driving the world closer to disaster. Several states have launched investigations into Exxon's deception, and as you can imagine, Exxon is fighting back with all they've got to derail these investigations. With such powerful foes, it takes resources and strong alliances to fight back. California has the resources to aid in the investigations, but so far Attorney General Xavier Becerra hasn't publicly committed to join. We need to change that.
