• Sign Your Name to Hold Clarence Thomas Accountable With a Code of Ethics
The lawyer who pressured Mike Pence to go along with a coup claims to know what Supreme Court justices are discussing, and has been revealed to be emailing with Clarence Thomas’s wife. Despite his wife’s deep involvement in a very public act of sedition, Clarence Thomas will not recuse himself from any January 6th cases. On the contrary—he was the only justice to vote against granting the January 6th Select Committee access to key Trump administration documents related to the insurrection. This is a clear conflict of interest. It’s blatantly unethical. But unlike every other federal judge in the nation, Supreme Court justices aren’t beholden to any structured code of conduct. That has to change. Sign your name if you agree.

  • Support S.764 - Ensuring Funding for Emergency Mental Health Crisis Response Teams
Over reliance on law enforcement in the United States (US) has resulted in an overrepresentation of persons with mental illness in instances of police violence, arrest, and incarceration. Supporting this bill, which is currently under review in committee, will help cities and states throughout the country establish community-based mobile crisis intervention services for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. If you agree that this is a need for our country moving forward, please add your thoughts to this letter and send it either to your Senator, or to Senator Wyden, who chairs the subcommittee on finance which is reviewing the bill.

  • DOJ - Do your job! Prosecute former President Donald J. Trump.
No one is above the law. When crimes are committed, justice and consequences should equally apply to all. Former President Donald J. Trump committed crimes that endanger the democracy of the United States. His supporters must clearly see that the fraudulent model he has built is clearly a crime and that there are consequences when one applies that model. Former President Donald J. Trump has set up a precedence that must be acknowledged as dangerous to the United States.

  • Congressman Eric Swalwell - Support LGBTQ families in a more meaningful way
On Saturday, June 11th, a group of Proud Boys verbally attacked attendees at a family-friendly LGBTQ Drag Story Hour that occurred at the San Lorenzo Library. Congressman Eric Swalwell has organized a meeting to discuss this issue and the harm caused to LGBTQ families. His colleague in Congress, Hon. Congressman Ro Khanna, has endorsed an Anti-Gay candidate for State Senate. Her name is Lily Mei and over 90% of the members of the Alameda County Democratic Party agree that her anti-gay past makes her ineligible from receiving the Democratic Party's Endorsement. We are asking that Congressman Swalwell do more than just hold a meeting. We are asking that he call his colleague in Congress to request the reconsideration of Lily Mei's endorsement.

  • Fair McAdams Parking
Each child that pays to play is different. Some of the children that play are autistic, asthmatic and have other allergies. Some of these children have a parent/guardian or a sibling with handicap needs. Some parents and coaches get to the ball park at an early time to get a parking spot in this parking lot to save themselves a hassle. If the parking lot is full, then they can go and park at a different lot. If the parking lot is half claimed by cones for people who aren’t even present to claim a spot, then it should be fair for anyone to park. No matter what the reason is for someone wanting to park in this lot, they should all have the fair chance to park if the spot is available and legal.

  • Backyard Poultry for The Village of Island Lake IL Ordinance Changes
This is our chance to take control of the food we eat and help reduce waste (chickens will eat your scraps!), unwanted pests and provide fresh, healthy food for our families. Times are changing and it’s not very often people who are fighting food insecurities even get fresh food at pantries. Fresh eggs are a right and not just for farmers.

  • Increase Mental Health Benefits for Medicare Recipients
With 2.9% of every company's earnings contributing to the SSA, I am urging the decision-makers to consider the welfare of such a diverse community of citizens who are so in need of a hope to hold on to. By making one small step for man, we can rest assured that addressing this issue head-on is the most important leap for mankind during this prevailing crisis. By increasing policies to aid the crisis itself, I believe that taking action will create a domino effect in which others will want to be apart of. It is not too late to make a difference, sign this petition to propel this initiative forward and enact change in our country today.

  • Broadcast the January 6 Committee Hearings
Fox is the only major television network not carrying the January 6 Select Committee's historic primetime hearings! It's shameful. For nearly a year, a bipartisan congressional committee has been investigating January 6, 2021, when a deadly insurrection at the Capitol sought to overturn the presidential election and resulted in multiple deaths and over 100 injuries. Numerous insurrectionists have been convicted already. The work of the January 6 committee—involving tens of thousands of hours of depositions and hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence—will shed new light on this historic and horrific event, as well as the wide-ranging criminal conspiracy that led to that day and its ongoing threats. But Fox viewers were prevented from seeing that. The committee revealed text messages from Fox's Sean Hannity, urging the Trump camp to end its parade of election lies peddled by the likes of Rudy Giuliani and the MyPillow guy, demanding "no more crazy people" and "no more stolen election talk." But viewers didn't see that, and didn't hear Hannity account for himself during his counter-programming. Instead, Fox commentators launched a pathetic attack against the committee and pretended to cover the hearings, but cut away from the gruesome documentary footage of the attacks and omitted key sworn testimony from administration figures, including Attorney General William Barr and Ivanka Trump. Fox viewers have the right to hear the case that is being made—without Fox's heavy-handed editorializing and distortions. Only by hearing and processing the same facts of the case, can we as a public develop a shared understanding of what happened on January 6, and inform our collective sense of how to hold insurrectionists accountable and defend our elections and republic against future attacks.

  • Free Cuong: Demand that ICE Release Cuong's Detainer!
Cuong Phan is a 46 year old incarcerated Vietnamese immigrant who came to this country in 1984, when he was 8 years old. Cuong was sentenced to serve 15 years to life for gang-related shooting in September of 1994, even though he wasn’t the shooter. He was just an 18 year old boy when he was arrested. Cuong has since taken full responsibility for his actions, serving 28 years in State Prison. In this time, he’s completed multiple programs (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Criminals and Gangs Anonymous, Lifer's Activity Group, Anti-Recidivism Coalition, Meditation Buddhist Pathways, Going Out By Going In, Partnership for Re-Entry Program); built his skills in the trades (Vocational Machine Shop, Computer Services and Repair, Vocational Mill and Cabinet, Braille Transcriber); and continued his education to earn 6 college degrees. Cuong is now the Supervisor for the braille program at Ironwood State Prison, which helps produce books for blind and disabled students across the nation. The company he works for has also offered him a job when he’s free. Cuong was recently granted parole, pending Governor Newsom’s approval. His release will be in July of this year. However, ICE has issued a detainer on Cuong. This means that ICE requested the State Prison to notify them before releasing Cuong. On his release day, instead of being freed, Cuong will be detained by ICE, and potentially deported to a country he’s never known. Cuong should be reunited with his family and community, who are ready to support him and his freedom. Will you sign the petition TODAY to stop Cuong from being transferred to ICE?
