We are a group of outraged parents whose daughters were subjected to second-class treatment by their colleges. Forced to endure woefully inadequate investigative and disciplinary proceedings that did not comply with civil rights laws, we watched in horror as campus officials cavalierly exonerated offenders whose brutal acts of violent discrimination against our daughters deserved punishment. Only after the fact did we learn that school officials had subjected our daughters to second class treatment during the investigation and hearing process. We were then shocked to learn that the American Bar Association had recently recommended that schools subject victimized women to second class treatment, even though women suffer far more violence on campus because they are female than does any other class of student suffer violence because of their race, religion, etc. Violence against any woman is a civil rights offense against all women. That an organization like the ABA, which purports to be dedicated to ensuring equal justice for all, would mock the very idea of gender equality in education, especially on the virtual eve of the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage, is profoundly disturbing. Florida's Republican Attorney General, Pam Bondi, personally solicited and accepted a political contribution from Donald Trump while ignoring complaints of fraud at Trump University from Florida Residents. The Orlando Sentinel has chronicled how Pam Bondi received a $25,000 campaign contribution from the Donald J. Trump Foundation in September of 2013, just three days after her office announced it would not join a New York lawsuit that accused Trump University of fraudulent practices. Even worse, Donald Trump held a fundraiser for Pam Bondi at his Mar-a-Lago property less than a year after Bondi passed on the Trump University Lawsuit. Pam Bondi has not answered any questions from the media regarding her Donald Trump’s political contribution, and any illegal activity between Bondi and Trump has not been investigated by Florida prosecutors. If we want to protect the public trust and ensure that Florida residents are protected from fraudulent schemes like Trump University, then we need to hold corrupt politicians like Pam Bondi accountable for their unethical behavior. We demand that the U.S. Department of Justice launches an investigation on the unethical behavior between Pam Bondi and Donald Trump.

Mass incarceration in low-income communities feeds a cycle of poverty and crime and does little to keep those communities safe. My grandchildren are caught up in the system due to my son's addiction. I'm not allowed to have them or even openly communicate, although we've always had an ongoing long term established relationship. Due to my past of addiction that created it's horrible havoc in my life and unfortunately my children's. I have over 2 decades of sobriety and recovery. I got my own children back and out of this broken system but many years later the same sadness affects our life with my grandchildren!! This is horrible and unhealthy for me and many others like me, but more than that the children who don't have a choice even when they speak up. Let's change laws to better lives with love not bureaucracy !!

During the forum on military issues and foreign policy, NBC’s Matt Lauer: > Failed to hold Donald Trump accountable by allowing him to repeat his lie that he always opposed the Iraq War. Tell NBC News’ Lester Holt — and other presidential debate hosts Martha Raddatz (ABC News), Anderson Cooper (CNN), and Chris Wallace (Fox News) — to commit to asking serious, substantial questions of all candidates and hold candidates accountable for misinformation.

In December, 2015, the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada came between 32,000 rooftop solar customers and their contracts with their power provider, and impacted economically favorable power rates that had previously been agreed upon. These solar customers invested in personal solar energy systems, acting in good faith based upon promises from the state. These promises were changed and undermined much to the detriment of the utility's customers. Through NV Energy's recent advice filing, the PUC now has the opportunity to remedy their decision that has devalued the investments made by tens of thousands of Nevada solar customers. Sign our petition and tell the PUC you want Nevada's original solar customers grandfathered under their original, contracted rates.

For months thousands of indigenous people and allies have been camped out in North Dakota putting their bodies on the line to stop construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. Now that the struggle has gained national and international attention, MoveOn.org is circulating fundraising e-mails along with a petition to investigate the security firms that have been hired to attack peaceful protectors of water and land. When organizations like MoveOn.org use movement moments like this to seek donations, that pulls donations and resources away from the front line and indigenous communities that are putting their bodies on the line.
