Over 4.5 million refugees are without a home, but the United States has excepted fewer than most other Western nations, including Canada. Now governors are trying to ban refugee resettlement in their state [which illegal to do] and President Obama is struggling to get Congressional approval for the settlement of 10,000 in the U.S. Tell Congress that you support providing human beings a place where they feel safe and can call home.

This is an important issue that needs to be addressed by the people. I see many people suffer from lack of coverage and I believe that everyone should have access to healthcare.

I can only say the following: I am compelled to do what I can to help shine a light on this problem because many parents impacted by this problem feel alone and are too shy to come forward given the personal pain this problem has caused them. The Senate has a constitutional duty and an obligation to their constituents to confirm or reject President Obama's judicial nominees. Voters can then hold Senators accountable for their votes. I am concerned about the Supreme Court's rulings that unlimited campaign spending is the equivalent of free speech, and want to see any nominee state their position on this.

I believe Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have similar political views especially with respect to the economy. I believe Elizabeth's endorsement and support of Bernie Sanders would help his campaign. The race is very close and I think Warren's support is needed right now to help Bernie win the up coming primaries and the nomination.

Replacing Scalia will change the balance of the Supreme Court and put us on the road to take back our nation.

For decades, the Supreme Court has been biased in favor of corporate and far-right interests. The Citizens United and Shelby County rulings — allowing billionaires and Big Business to spend literally unlimited amounts of money interfering with elections, and gutting essential civil rights protections in the landmark 1965 Voting Rights Act — are just two recent examples of the court’s radical bias. The American people — and our cherished system of checks and balances between the branches of government — need and deserve a high court that is FAIR. We call on you to nominate former Harvard Law School professor and current United States Senator Elizabeth Warren to replace deceased Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.

It is the president's constitutional authority to nominate justices to the Supreme Court. And it is the Senate's constitutional role to "advise and consent." Nowhere in the Constitution is the Senate asked to play partisan games of endless, senseless obstructionism. Outrageously, just hours after the news of Justice Antonin Scalia's death, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that President Obama should not have the opportunity to appoint a justice to the high court. Leaving the seat vacant would create uncertainty, cause real harm to countless Americans, and abdicate the Senate's job under our Constitution to give fair consideration to Supreme Court nominees. The Senate must heed its constitutional responsibility to advise and consent to a highly qualified Supreme Court nominee.

The Republicans have consistently thwarted the President's agenda and have publically stated that they will not consider ANY nominee that the President should send to fill the current vacancy on the SCOTUS. We cannot have a vacancy on the SCOTUS for over 12 months.

Just hours after news broke that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had passed away, Mitch McConnell was already trying to exploit the unfortunate news for political gain. Senate Majority Leader McConnell rushed out a radical claim: That the Senate should shirk its constitutional duty to consider and confirm Supreme Court nominees, simply because it’s an election year. That’s not how it worked when Ronald Reagan nominated Anthony Kennedy to the Supreme Court in an election year (1988) and the Democratic Senate confirmed him. The U.S. Constitution specifically states that the Senate should give “advice and consent” on Supreme Court nominations by the president. The Constitution has no exception for election years. It’s clear that McConnell is looking for any excuse to block President Obama from naming another justice to the Supreme Court. Mitch McConnell knows what we all know. The future of reproductive rights, overturning Citizens United, labor rights, and Obama’s Clean Power Plan all hang in the balance. Tell the Senate: Fulfill your constitutional duty. Work with President Obama to fill the vacancy at the Supreme Court without delay.
