On October 19 2004 my son Dillon Thomas Geary at the age of 9 yrs passed away from a staph infection. When We had the autopsy done on him they could not find the source of infection due to the amount of antibiotics that were given to him . Dillon passed from a simple 3 pin close reduction in his right elbow. 4 days later my son was on life support and pronounced brain dead from an infection that could have been prevented. It has been a long 10 yrs Dillon passing tore our family apart and we have never been the same. I hope that I one day will have some sort of closure to his loss and help another family so this don't ever happen again to another little boy or girl. Thank you for your time. Romondo is another example of a prisoner given an incredibly long sentence for a non violent crime. We know politicians and others soared to power on these outrageous sentences but it is time to be wise. I started writing prisoners like Romondo as a way to help heal. It has become a great learning experience and my outrage at the injustice done these prisoners and their families and communities, coupled with the corruption of the system compels me to do as much as I can.

The protection of our environment is the paramount mission of the EPA, and the lands and wildlife are important to our way of life and the wellbeing of future generations. If a non-government company had done this then the EPA would go after them with everything in the Government's arsenal. As the regulating body for the US, the EPA must be held to an even higher standard than private companies.

I feel strongly about women's health issues and am concerned that attempts to shut down Planned Parenthood will harm the health of women and infants, especially those who need their services the most. We suffer from an unconscionably high infant mortality rate in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Without the services of Planned Parenthood, I fear the problem will only get worse. As it stands now, none of our not-for-profit public charities, such as hospitals like UPMC, and AGH, seem willing to provide these services at affordable rates to those most in need. We need Planned Parenthood to fulfill this role and provide these vital public health services.

Women's access to healthcare is in jeopardy--all in an attempt to make abortions impossible in the State of Texas.

I support President Obama's historic nuclear deal with Iran and I am afraid if Congress does not support it, such a decision may lead to war with Iran.
