• Support the passage of the Corporate Tax Dodging Prevention Act
Our politicians need to legislate for the average American, not just their corporate interests. Sen. Sanders is championing the cause of the middle class and needs our support.

  • Stop Forced Vaccinations in CA
Not only because I don't want to force untested drugs into my child, I also believe in freedom of choice. That's why I live in America. The corporate-sponsored government only wants more money from us to support their clients' deep pockets. In the meantime they slowly kill us with cancer. Educate yourselves about vaccines. Cancer causing, formaldehyde, rat poison, and even under-developed human fetuses all made up into one fantastic shot. If I don't force it into my son and daughter I will end up in jail. One day they will force adults to be shot up also. Do it for the children. Save the kids and ourselves. We need 400,000 people to sign petitions to overturn it. There are millions of people in CA. Please help us. Please educate yourself. Sign for freedom.

  • Legislator Secrecy proposed in Walker's Budget for Wisconsin
Governor Walker has been delaying his official presidential candidacy until after his budget is approved. Could this be why? After the Joint Finance Committee passed the budget, details of this non-fiscal item is taking the media and social media by storm. You are denying our right to know how you all are governing our state. Take this item out of the budget, explain this action, take responsibility for its insertion and apologize to your constituents.

  • disclosure of legislation authorship
Many laws are written in whole or in part by lobbyists for the express benefit of their clients, often with misleading titles that suggest a purpose other than the bill's true end. When this happens, legislators, their constituents and the press should be made aware of the legislation's true author and presumed beneficiary.

  • Wisconsin Legislators: Amend. Don't Defend the Changes to the Open Records Law
As we celebrate our nation's independence, our freedom of information is about to be lost in Wisconsin where the Joint Finance Committee voted along party lines (12-4) in an 11th hour addition to the state budget to drastically change the Open Records Law. This law keeps legislators accountable and citizens informed. The budget now moves to Wisconsin's state Senate and Assembly where they will vote this week. Legislators have an opportunity to amend the budget and restore their constituents' ability to access information. This is not a partisan issue. Transparency in government protects us all.

  • Call for federally mandated police body cameras
We feel that legislation such as this is necessary to bridge the gap of mistrust that has been growing in light of incidents of force used by officers in the recent past and the public outcry that has ensued. Based on the statistics gathered from studies on law enforcement agencies currently implementing body cameras, this would greatly reduce use of force and public complaints against law enforcement. This would not only serve to protect civilians, but would also protect officers from undue public scrutiny when acts of force are justified. With this kind of transparency, law enforcement's actions would no longer be subject to speculation and the public would again be able to trust in its integrity, as it should be. Thank you for your time and consideration, -We The People

  • NO GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN!
I own a child care center and see how this program works and makes society a better place by giving young children with lower income an EQUAL opportunity regardless of income. Our school is mixed income but shows no class divide. The benefits of these children being integrated and given an EQUAL opportunity and a fair start during their most important years are priceless. The elimination of these programs will give even higher income families very limited if any choices for quality day care to bring thier children because day cares will be going out of business if they lose many of thier children and teachers will be out of jobs. There are so many essential services in jeopardy that are necessary to provide a productive future for the families in the State of Illinois.

  • Lavern's Law
Lavern's Law would have begun the timeframe during which a patient is legally able to bring a medical malpractice case, on the day that the patient discovered the error, as opposed to the day that the error occurred. But Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan recently prevented the bill from reaching the senate floor for a vote. Lavern Wilkinson died from cancer because doctors didn't inform her that a chest X-ray showed a suspicious mass. When she found out, the statue of limitations had run out, which prevented her from seeking justice.

  • Minnesota Should Know When a Registered Sex Offender is Driving Around their Schools or parks.
Too many times have we all seen or were told about a suspicious car around a school or park. Nobody knows if this person is a registered repeat sex offender. Minnesota must require specialized license plates for the registered cars of registered sex offenders now. This is already a law for repeat DWI offenders in Minnesota.
