On behalf of the Northern Indiana Coalition For Immigration Reform, we call upon Indiana Governor Mike Pence and Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller to withdraw our state's amicus filing in the Federal case of Texas v United States that seeks to end President Obama's executive order providing administrative relief for millions of immigrants. We further call upon our state's government to join with those states, cities, Members of Congress, Labor and community organizations that are calling upon Federal courts to uphold President Obama's executive order that established the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) and the expansion of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). It does not serve the interests of the people of Indiana for our state to seek to overturn President Obama's executive order that will allow immigrant families to stay together, come out of the shadows and be full members of our communities.

I am a victim of this for-profit fraudulent business that operates its scam in the name of education. The only thing that I gained from this experience is worse financial despair than I have ever had in my entire life! They destroyed millions of lives! Please help put an end to these predatory businesses operating under the name of education!

This petition is the result of experiencing this type of violence and having to deal with this issue with little awareness around how serious Adult Bullying is and have noticed that most people have little to no understanding and/or knowledge about this problems that effect so many people not only in the U.S but all over the world. The emotional, physical and financial destruction as a result of Adults being allowed to bully other adults should not be tolerated and must be stopped.

As our economy continues to tank, more and more people are finding themselves without shelter and food security. I want to wake up people in this country that have given up on important issues that Affect us all

My nephew Gary Crocker is a blind vendor for a roadside rest area. His sight is a challenge even under the best conditions. The purpose of AB 1353 is to amend the California Streets and Highways Code eliminating the current discriminatory practices by the California Department of Transportation on the blind Safety Roadside Rest Area vendors of the Business Enterprises Program. Currently blind SRRA vendors participating in the BEP are being discriminated against regarding the operational expenses of the BEP vending facilities at the state's safety roadside rest areas. Supporting AB 1353 will correct this injustice that has been allowed in burdening hard working blind individuals participating in this state program for the blind.

As a former victim of rape myself, I humbly accept the request to stand up as a local progressive, bypassing Washington, D.C., to make the voices of the nation's fathers, mothers, daughters, and sons heard. I am proud to assist the great silver state of Nevada on this journey as a leading, progressive conscious state who won't stand for allowing a statue of limitations on such a gross injustice as rape.

Climate change feels real and personal in the mountains of Southern Oregon. Winter has disappeared for two years. Last summer a catastrophic forest fire burned seven square miles of forest in our neighborhood. If current trends continue, we expect even more terrible impacts. We feel that HB 3470 provides an exceptional opportunity for taking timely, effective action against greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. HB 3470 otherwise known as the Climate Stability and Justice Act, has passed the scrutiny of the Energy and Environmental Committee and is the only climate change legislation still alive in the current legislative session. Thanks to chief sponsor Rep. Phil Barnhart and Reps. Peter Buckley and Paul Holvey, who signed on early as co-sponsors, this bill has gained support among Democratic leadership and appears to have a chance to reach Governor Brown's desk. HB 3470 is modeled on California AB 32, enacted in 2006. Over the past eight years, AB 32 has capped new sources of greenhouse gas pollution, survived a referendum, and proved beneficial to California's economy. In other words, the AB 32 model has been tested and is viable. According to California EPA Secretary Matt Rodriquez, alternative energy is now the fastest growing sector of the California economy. At this point HB 3470 still has ‘legs’ in Salem. It moved out of the Energy & Environment Committee and has been referred to Rules. Rep. Val Hoyle, chair of Rules, favors 3470 and plans to send it on to Ways and Means. A cap and trade program could create jobs. The implementation of AB 32 in California has demonstrated that, once markets for renewable energy are guaranteed, venture capital flows in rapidly and creates new jobs based on alternative energy technologies. HB 3470 includes provisions that would allocate a portion of revenues generated from the sale of permits to mitigate the effects of the cap and trade program on disadvantaged communities. This month the 2015 California DISCLOSE Act, AB 700, faces its first key test in a vote of the Assembly Elections Committee.
