• release our paychecks
I have not received my paycheck from this company. It has been over a month now and they are still not releasing our checks. They have my direct deposit information but I still don't have the payment in my account. Today, I visted the office and was told to wait outside the building for the HR management. Me and this other young lady waited there for over an hour in the cold. No one came out to tell us anything about the status of our checks or any information regarding the matter. Few hours later their security guard comes out and tells us that we may have to come back the next day because they weren't gonna help us. I asked only to know the status of my check or if there was a number I could call to help me with my issue, but he says the HR told him they have nothing to tell me and they don't know what to tell me about my check. I am writing this petition because this is not the first time this happened. And I know going back tomorrow will not change anything unless some higher authority other than the employees can help in this matter. Please hear my petition.

  • Stand Against Citizens United
If we could pick one word to define the 2014 elections it would be: MONEY. And lots of it. An estimated $3.67 billion was spent was spent on the 2014 elections, much of it by Super PACs and outside spending groups endorsed by the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling. Every Voice and its partners are working to collect 5 million signatures against Citizens United by its fifth anniversary on January 21. Add your name to this growing movement that puts people back at the heart of our democracy -- not just billionaire donors and special interests!

  • WNET: Tell WGBH and PBS to go Koch-Free
Climate denial financiers like David Koch spend millions of dollars to lie to the public about climate change, and for their own profit. But still PBS affiliates put Koch in positions of power—Koch currently sits on the board of Boston's PBS member station, WGBH, and used to sit on the board of New York's WNET. Tell WNET to use its platform to write a letter to WGBH and urge them to remove David Koch from its board immediately.

  • Require A Special Prosecutor to Investigate Fatal Use of Force by Police
I live in St. Louis and want every citizen to have no doubt that they will always receive equal treatment under the law. The prosecutor's decision to use a grand jury and the presentation of evidence to the grand jury did nothing to reassure the public's concern about lack of impartiality. On the contrary, many are left to reasonably wonder whether it was Michael Brown or Darren Wilson that was being investigated. A special prosecutor would go a long way toward restoring trust in future cases of alleged police misconduct.

  • Congress: Don’t Kill Iran Talks With New Sanctions
The U.S. and its European partners have agreed to extend the interim nuclear deal with Iran while continuing to work towards a comprehensive, permanent agreement. The extension of the interim deal means that Iran’s nuclear program will continue to be under tightened restrictions and closer international inspection. Unfortunately, with the Republican takeover of the Senate, opponents of diplomacy are going to have more opportunities to try to derail the talks. Anti-diplomacy forces are already demanding that Congress enact new sanctions, even though new U.S. sanctions would violate U.S. commitments under the interim deal. All that new sanctions legislation would do now is provoke Iranian hardliners and undermine the voices of those in Iran who want to reconcile with the West—which is exactly what anti-diplomacy forces in the U.S. want. Urge your Representative and Senators to oppose efforts to kill the Iran talks, by signing our petition.

  • Sen. Grassley: Reject loopholes, don't renew them
Congress is about to REINSTATE loopholes that let huge corporations like GE, Goldman Sachs and Citigroup dodge taxes -- and to stop it, we need Sen. Chuck Grassley's support. Tax loopholes allow corporations to dodge taxes by hiding profits overseas -- some companies pay $0 in taxes. Congress is about to decide their fate: Renew $9 billion in offshore corporate tax loopholes, or leave them on the scrap heap of bad ideas. Earlier this year, a large slate of corporate subsidies expired. Hidden among the tax credits are some of the worst loopholes that reward multinational corporations for moving profits and jobs overseas. Now, Congress wants to renew many of these programs, even the ones that reward huge companies for hiding profits overseas. It makes no sense -- this is our chance to let these loopholes end for good. The President has already spoken out against renewing these loopholes, but Sen. Grassley hasn't. That's why your signature is so important. It’s about time that these corporations start living by the same rules as the rest of us. It’s time to close these loopholes and invest in an economy that works for everyone.
