United Airlines Owes ReimbursementUnited forced passengers to remain on the tarmac for hours, unable to use the plane's clogged restrooms and with no food left, simply because they still hoped to make their scheduled stop in Denver. When passengers finally disembarked in Pueblo, United abandoned them without explanation. The Pueblo Police and Colorado State University were heroes who took up this task, providing food, transportation and lodging, and should be reimbursed.54 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kathleen Cook

Cease all military involvement in IraqWe never should have interfered in Iraq years ago. I believe the 3 tribes in Iraq should determine their own destiny. Too many Americans have already died there.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Judith Carmody

Get money out of politics! It is time to restore our representative democracy. Today 87% of Americans are deeply troubled by the corrupting influence of money in politics. Our elected officials no longer represent the people who vote for them, they represent their donors. We need to get money out of politics, and the biggest step is overturning the 'Citizens United' supreme court case and banning corporations from contributing to elections. To do that, we need our state legislature to call for a constitutional convention. Vermont has already called for a convention, and California isn't far behind. Connecticut should join them. Tell your elected officials you want a constitutional convention to get money out of our politics.92 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Taylor Leake

Protect the Badger-Two MedicineThe Badger-Two Medicine is important to Montanans, locally and throughout the region, as a place to sustain cultural traditions, hunt, fish, hike and admire. Pristine and ancient, home to original flora and fauna, the Badger-Two Medicine is a treasure. There have been tremendous accomplishments achieved in the campaign to protect this landscape. But it is still vulnerable. Oil and gas developers, motorcycles and ATVs all threaten to scar “The Badger” permanently. By signing this petition, you are supporting the protection of the Badger-Two Medicine from extractive, industrial and motorized threats. As the community of caring people willing to stand together grows, so does the promise of protection for this culturally - and ecologically - irreplaceable wild land.76 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leanne Falcon

Join Barbara Lee & Scott Rigell, Stop Rush to Iraq WarSome press reports have suggested that the U.S. could begin airstrikes in Iraq at any time. Our best opportunity to stop this is to press President Obama to come to Congress for authorization, as required by the U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Resolution, before using military force. Pressing the President to come to Congress was essential to stopping the U.S. from going to war in Syria last year. California Democrat Barbara Lee and Virginia Republican Scott Rigell have initiated a bipartisan letter to President Obama, urging him to respect the Constitutional requirement to come to Congress for authorization before using military force. Urge your Representative to join the Lee-Rigell letter by signing our petition. The petition will be automatically delivered to your Representative when you sign.11,605 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Robert Naiman

Tell NBC: Stop Anti-Choice CensorshipNBC has decided that "abortion" is a dirty word. Sources report that NBC is refusing to run ads for the critically acclaimed movie Obvious Child unless they edit out any mention of the word "abortion," even though that's what the entire movie is about—a woman's completely normal experience with abortion. Since when did "abortion" become one of the words you can't say in an ad? Especially when it seems like you can't make it through 30 minutes of prime time without seeing an ad for Viagra warning about erections lasting longer than four hours. This is outrageous—that's why we started a petition to tell NBC: "Abortion is not a dirty word. Stop censoring ads for the movie Obvious Child." Can you sign the petition and share it with your friends?8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by NARAL Pro-Choice America

Let's get serious about stopping gun violenceI am seeing more and more shootings every week in America, many of those taking place in educational institutions. I have 7 grandchildren in school and I shouldn't have to worry every school day that they might not come home from school because they were killed there. We shouldn't have to worry that just walking down the street exposes us to a random gun shooting. We demand that our leaders take action to curb gun violence with whatever laws or regulations are needed.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steve Elliot

Take a step to expand and extend public transportationI would like you to expand and extend bus hours for the people of Watertown who do not drive but have to work. I am currently affected along with countless others who may not have a vehicle but have to work late hours, people who end up walking 2-3 miles due to a lack of bus route.29 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jessica Lopez

Ban Declawing of Cats in PittsburghAfter watching the Paw Project I had no idea how senseless and cruel this procedure was. I feel this should be an easy ban because it is 100% wrong and the only remote benefit is saving your furniture and to a lesser degree is a source of income for vets. Facts about declawing: Declawing is amputation; it is not merely the removal of the claws. To declaw a cat, the veterinarian cuts off the last knuckles of a cat's paw – cutting through bone, tendons, skin and nerves. In a person, it is equivalent to amputating each finger or toe at the last joint. Declaw surgery can be an extremely painful procedure with associated health risks and complications such as infection. Declaw surgery can produce permanent lameness, pain or arthritis. Declawing is the same mutilating procedure for house cats or big cats. There are effective alternatives to declawing Please help Pittsburgh to be the first city on the east coast to stop this cruel and pointless pet torture!171 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Adam Cagle

Get Big Coal ads off of Denver's 99.5 The Mountain!Despite hundreds of calls from disappointed listeners and 1-star reviews on Facebook, 99.5 The Mountain in Denver continues to air a completely false ad by the National Mining Association. It opens with this: "An 80 percent cost hike? That's something we better get used to if extreme new Obama administration power-plant regulations take effect." The claim is part of the Big Coal’s attacks on the new EPA power plant rule — and it’s 100% false. The Denver Post says the ad "flunks the truth test," and the Washington Post's Fact Checker blog gave the ad its worst rating: "Four Pinocchios." The CEO of Entercom -- 99.5's parent company -- is David Field, and he has the power to remove the ad. If enough of us in Denver speak out, they'll see how many listeners they stand to lose. The station is already frustrated by the negative attention it's getting, so let's show them it can all go away if they do the right thing.
