Speedway has proposed new plans. There will be Unity Township Upcoming Special Hearings, Zoning Board Meetings, and Planning Commission Meetings to try to grant conditional use and zoning variances to Speedway/Marathon.

I have seen the negative impact that growing up listening to gunfire has had an affect on the development of young people within earshot. Tax payers as well as young people should not endure the sound of gunfire in residential neighborhoods.

It is an easy fix among environmental issues. I just want to do my part to fix the bigger part.

This petition is about protecting the poor and innocent from Debt Collectors who use the court system to jail people who can't afford to pay the dept. I have never been arrested in my life. A local Debt Collection company has been trying to sue me since 2011 and they just recently asked the court to issue a body attachment on me. I am an emotional wreck because a cop can come to my door anytime to haul me off to jail and I have done NOTHING illegal! I am very afraid of going to jail.

Fracking and extreme oil extraction techniques like acidizing are taking place in and around Brea. These wells pose a direct threat to the safety and well-being of Brea residents. There are currently at least 24 cases of fracking and acidizing within Brea’s sphere of influence. The City of Brea owns fracking wells that are located just outside the Olinda Elementary School and near the new Sports Complex. There are more fracking wells in the Blackstone and Olinda Ranch Neighborhoods within a few feet of people’s homes. Fracking is the process of injecting millions of gallons of water, sand, and tens of thousands of gallons of known toxic chemicals deep underground at extremely high pressures to blast open rock formation. This allows hard to reach oil and gas to flow more freely. Acidization is the process of using hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid to stimulate wells as they melt rock layers that allow oil and gas to flow more freely. Hydrochloric and hydrochloric acid are air toxins that can cause illness and even fatalities if exposure is high enough. Less is known about acidization because it is a newer technique and mainly employed in California, but fracking has a horrendous track record. Fracking has been linked to over 1,000 cases of water contamination including groundwater contamination in 4 states, increases in air pollution and smog, and finally fracking practices and waste disposal wells have been linked to earthquakes as large as a 5.7 in Oklahoma. Fracking is also exempt from the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Safe Drinking Water Act making it impossible to hold the Oil & Gas Industry accountable to public health and the environment. With the passing of SB4, the statewide fracking regulations bill, we still don’t have enough protections to ensure that the public health and environment will be safe from fracking. SB4 only requires the notification of fracking and disclosure of chemicals. It does nothing to protect ensure that fracking is safe for communities of the environment. This is why we need to take local action to ensure the safety and well-being of Brea residents. This petition calls on the City of Brea to shut down their dangerous wells near schools and homes and to enact a permanent ban on all extreme and unconventional extraction methods as well as waste water injections wells within Brea City Limits.

I am starting this petition because I feel the people of this country as well as the people of our world need to know the truth about what is really going on. For our sake and the sake of our children......We deserve to have full disclosure in this matter.

California voters can proclaim to the nation that Congress must pass a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizen United and make a simple declaration: Corporations aren't People, and Money isn't Speech. The Overturn Citizens United Act (Senate Bill 1272) will put a proposition on this November's ballot so voters can do just that. It must pass the Senate by the end of May. Sign our petition telling California Senators to pass it today.

I want to see this drive in theater back in business. They just opened the Parmont Drive in theater why not the Oceanside as well. It would bring much need money to the economy as well. Please save this Icon from being torn down and turned into another shopping mall.

One of the many reasons I care about Internet freedom is because I worked as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, one of the oldest and most prestigious government consulting firms, to support implementation of the Obama administration's Broadband Technology Opportunities Program. The program gave out $9.7 billion in grants to help bridge the technological divide, create jobs, and improve education, health care, and public safety in communities across the country. When I heard about the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposal to allow the corporations who control the infrastructure of the Internet to create fast and slow lanes for websites based on how much they're able to pay, I couldn't help but feel that the Obama administration was undoing a lot of the important work we did together investing in communities to make sure they got the access to the Internet that they needed. I supported President Obama in 2008 and 2012 in part because of his commitment to Internet freedom, which he's publicly declared multiple times. In 2007, then-candidate Obama specifically stated that Internet service providers like Comcast and Verizon should not be able to charge "different rates to different websites"—but that is exactly what the FCC Chairman President Obama appointed, Tom Wheeler, is proposing. Don't let Chairman Wheeler advance a proposal that breaks one of President Obama's campaign promises and brings an end to the Internet as we know it. Please tell President Obama to come out in support of reclassifying the Internet as public utility, like our water, electricity, and phone lines, so that all those communities we helped get Internet access can continue to enjoy a free and open Internet, along with everyone else in the world.

As a pet owner and father, I see so many articles of pets being shot in front of children for the misdemeanor of a dog off it's leash on his own family's property. This cruel and unusual punishment serves no one, instills a fear of law enforcement, creates a loss of life, and makes difficult questions for a parent to answer to a child. Non lethal rounds can serve as an effective way to enforce a leash law without killing a family member.

Many of our North Carolina Brothers and Sisters and their families have been impacted by the injustice of North Carolina Expungement Rules/Laws. People are being held back from moving forward in their lives and becoming productive citizens because of the residual affect of past criminal infractions, largely promoted by our governing body and those who represent the citizens of North Carolina.
