• Restore the Voting Rights Act
Cheney, Swerner & Goodman who died because they were registering voters. This is one of the most important pieces of civil rights Congress has ever passed and the Supreme Court has weakened provisions of it.

  • Save the Old Stone Building
We are starting this petition because we want to preserve and re-purpose the Old Stone Building as a multi-purpose space for the community of Upper Marlboro. The building is currently owned by Prince George's County and sustained damage when a car hit it. It is open to the elements and needs immediate repair. This building was listed as a contributing asset in the town's application for designation as a Historic District to the Department of the Interior, and it would be a shame to allow such a picturesque treasure to be demolished. We are fairly certain that the building could be repurposed for less than the amount it will cost the county to demolish it and haul it off. Our community will lose an architectural treasure and potential gathering place. We need your help in contacting the elected officials listed above and asking them to do the right thing: Save the Old Stone Building!

  • Restore the Voting Rights Act
Last years Supreme Court action disenfranchised millions of American voters, and for others it made it difficult for them to carry out their sacred duty to vote in America. Freedom and liberty needs protection and the voice needs to be returned to the people.
