Protect the Minorities from Ongoing Mayhem in BangladeshBangladeshi Minorities have been going through a systematic ethnic cleansing cycle since 1947. The minority population has dropped from 28% in 1941 to 8% in 2013. Right after the national election held in January 5th, 2014, many Bangladeshi Hindus are murdered, raped and tortured for petty political and religious bias. Bangladesh has failed badly to protect the minorities when they are the most vulnerable. As US citizens, we are urging our President, Governors, Congress and Senate leaders to take this human right violation as a serious failure of Bangladesh. The minorities of Bangladesh should be allowed to live peacefully and safely with others. Parents opposed to Governor Cuomo's "merit pay" for "highly effective" TeachersWe parents value excellence in our teachers. We value their ability to effectively teach and to inspire our children to learn and develop myriad types of success throughout their lives. Our teachers should never need to compete with each other in this way; they should work together for the good of all of our children. This competition for “merit” pay will also lead to an increased emphasis on testing and teaching to those tests – rather than on teaching our children how to learn and how to develop their best talents and abilities. It will discriminate against teachers who work with ELL students, Special Needs students and students who live in poverty, and lead to an exodus of experienced teachers from high poverty districts.4,250 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Jill Schweizer

Chris Christie: RESIGNThe irresponsible petty retribution and frat boy politics of the governor's office. The governor was abusive and dismissive of any person that raised a question. As previously noted, he is a bully.49 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Thomas Lynch

Pay for unemployment benefits with corporate welfare.I am tired of using my taxes to pay for costs that rich corporations have shifted to the American taxpayer. If the House is so concerned about reducing the debt, start with the companies who are contributing to that debt.159 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jacque Hurley

Bring ShowNet back to WEFWe are disappointed that ShowNet is not available this 2014 season. The ShowgroundsLive system does not offer the trainers and exhibitors enough up to the minute information to allow us to get through the busy days. We also would like to be able to view our videos at night and at the completion of each show. As exhibitors we need to be able to make our days run as smoothly as possible and ShowNet has proved to be extremely helpful at this. We would like to strongly request to ESP Management that it be made available as soon as possible.1,272 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by WEF Exhibitors

EPA Holding Tank Inspections for Boats on LakesIn Massachusetts there are no laws for "Great Ponds" that require an environmental inspection and certification to ensure that all holding tanks on a boat have been permanently disconnected or sealed so that accidental leaking can not occur. New Hampshire has such a law, why not Massachusetts! Please copy and paste the link below into google search then look for the PDF named "WD-BB-38 The DES Boat Inspection Program New Hampshire" to read how New Hampshire addresses this problem. http://des.nh.gov/organization/commissioner/pip/factsheets/bb/documents/bb-38.pdf240 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Nicholas Goudas

They are destroying their lives, their health, and their bodies with the synthetic drugs. These drugs have caused brain damage, psychosis, heart attacks, liver/kidney failure, anxiety, seizures and so many more health issues, including death. This has not only happened to some of our friends, but people we see in the news as well. PLEASE HELP US MAKE THEM ILLEGAL AND KEEP THEM OUT OF OUR STORES! Unemployment Cuts ... in Massachusetts?Unemployment assistance isn’t a handout. It's a lifeline for people in tough economic times. We've been hearing a lot recently about how Congress allowed extended unemployment insurance to expire in the middle of the Holiday season, which cut off 60,000 people here in Massachusetts and 1.3 million around the country. While Congress (especially the House) might be callous to those struggling in our slowly recovering economy, you'd think that Massachusetts state lawmakers would be more sympathetic. But over the last few weeks, corporate lobbyists have been pressuring Massachusetts state lawmakers to cut state unemployment benefits, sneaking it into a bill to raise the minimum wage. The scary thing is that it might be working. We've got to get the message to legislators: Now is not the time to cut unemployment benefits. There is no need to make concessions to these lobbyists -- raising the minimum wage is already on ballot for the fall.265 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Nathan Proctor
