Over 300,000 West Virginians’ water was poisoned with chemicals from the coal industry -- and now hundreds of people are sick. Water isn’t only being poisoned by these chemicals; there is a long history of water in West Virginia being poisoned by the coal industry; mountaintop removal has destroyed thousands of pristine streams, and there are dozens of toxic slurry dams across the state. West Virginia’s DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) has been captured by the coal industry, and can’t be trusted to ensure safe, clean, drinking water. We need OSM to step-in, terminate West Virginia’s ineffective mining enforcement program, and set-up a program that protects our water. Fast track Legislation to approve the TPP has been introduced in Congress. This bill is officially called "The Bipartisan Trade Priorities Act of 2014". If we are to maintain any semblance of Sovereignty and Democracy in America it is imperative that we defeat this legislation. The TPP is a massive trade agreement that has been characterized as being a corporate coup. In essence it places the rights of international corporations above the rights of the American people. Under our Constitution the states legislate state laws and Congress legislates Federal Law, which takes precedence over State Law. With the TPP Federal Law will now be subservient to rules promulgated by the TPP and interpreted not by American courts but by International tribunals controlled by corporations. No longer will be be able to say what our labor laws, environmental laws, health regulations, financial regulations, copyright laws, consumer laws and Agricultural regulations are, they will determined by this trade pack and adjudicated by these foreign, corporate controlled, tribunals. Citizens United was a disaster. It opened the floodgates for corporations to write big checks to fund right-wing special interest attacks, helping them pour $719 million into the 2012 elections. Not all religions are accepted or tolerated in Lisle Senior High School. The religious headgear of the Pastafarian religion has been deemed disruptive and not appropriate in the school. The fact that a student is forbidden to go to his/her classes with the official headgear of the Pastafarian faith is intolerable and ignorant. This intolerance needs to be removed from the school and the religious must be allowed to be worn during the school day.

Iran and the US are finally at the negotiating table together, but Congress may ruin diplomacy by passing a bill imposing new sanctions. This will cause diplomatic efforts to fail. We can't afford to have negotiations with Iran stop!

Those lane closures caused traffic to back up, with delays to all who tried to cross the bridge, and those drove in and around Ft. Lee, NJ. Those same lane closures caused delays to emergency service vehicles, both crossing the GW Bridge, and locally in Ft. Lee, NJ. While Gov. Christie fired one single appointee; two others have been implicated. We still do not know how many members of Gov. Christie's administration had responsibility for this action. In addition, we do not know whether Gov. Christie himself, had influence over the decision to close lanes at the GW Bridge.

I'm starting this petition because there are too many people that can't afford the rates of insurance to drive their vehicles anymore. Insurance should not be based on credit scores, or the age of the drivers. I'm directly affected by this, I'm on a fixed income. I can barely afford to pay insurance on my vehicles. My insurance payments equals half of what my house payment is. We the people have to stop the Insurance companies and the laws backing them, to keep taking our money like this.

I am tired of being held hostage over benefits we have paid for so millionaires can have massive tax breaks only to then have the benefits watered down and sequestered. While work class Americans struggle in a weak economy; our tax dollars are being used to support the regimes of Israel, Morocco and Indonesia to commit serious violations of human rights in the occupied territories in Palestine, the illegally occupied territory of Western Sahara and in the illegally annexed province of West Papua, by Israel, Morocco and Indonesia. Any US AID should be conditioned to the recipient country to have clean records on human rights, democracy and respect for international laws. Aren't we Americans a nation of people who love freedom, democracy and human rights? So why our government spend American tax dollars on countries who have an opposite position based on their records, than that of us as a nation on those important matters? As a nation, we like to present ourselves as democratic and freedom loving nation to the world, our foreign politic say otherwise completely different.
